SAFETY

  • WARNING! Ensure Health & Safety, local authority, and general workshop practice regulations are adhered to when using this rollcab and top chest.
  • Locate the roll cab and top chest in a suitable work area.
  • Keep the work area clean, and uncluttered, and ensure there is adequate lighting.
  • WARNING! Use the roll cab and top chest on the level and solid ground, preferably concrete.
  • Keep roll cab and top chest clean and tidy in accordance with good workshop practice.
  • Keep children and unauthorized persons away from the work area.
  • DO NOT use this roll cab and top chest for any purpose other than that for which it is designed.
  • DO NOT place the roll cab and top chest in a damp or wet location or an area where there is condensation.
  • DO NOT clean the roll cab and top chest with any solvents which may damage the surfaces or the protective coating.
  • DO NOT move the roll cab and top chest with the drawers out. To avoid tipping, open one drawer at a time and close and secure all drawers whilst moving.
  • DO NOT step on the drawers.

INTRODUCTION

PTB141507: Heavy-duty welded steel construction for strength and durability. Textured powder coat finish. Ball-bearing drawer slides provide superior performance and carry heavier loads, double sets on large drawers. All drawers have full-width sand-blasted aluminum‘ Lift & Latch’ drawer pulls, making easy access while preventing inadvertent opening when box is being moved. Heavy-duty exterior handles. Supplied with non-slip drawer liners supplied for all drawers. Gas struts fitted to lid makes opening easy. The integral locking system locks all drawers with the turn of a key. Supplied with two keys. Use Model No. PTB143011 Rollcab or can be a standalone unit.

All drawers have full-width sandblasted aluminum ‘Lift & Latch’ drawer pulls, making easy access while preventing inadvertent opening when the box is being moved. Tubular chrome plated exterior side handle. Non-slip drawer liners are supplied for all drawers. Heavy-duty Ø125mm Mag style castors, four swivels with toe brakes, and two fixed-on roll cabs. The integral locking system locks all drawers with the turn of one key. Supplied with two keys. Supplied with 12mm PVC coated MDF worktop for use as a workbenchwhen not used with a top chest. Use with Model No. PTB141507 Top chest or as a standalone unit.

ASSEMBLY

  • WARNING! These cabinets are heavy! Two persons are required to complete the assembly safely.
  • ROLL CAB HANDLE INSTALLATION Position the handle over the holes in the roll cab, attach using the M6 x 12mm hex bolts, and tighten securely (fig.1). Assembling the handle first will make it easier to handle the roll cab.

CASTOR INSTALLATION

  • Lay the roll cab on its back carefully, protecting it with a soft mat placed on the floor.
  • Position the two rigid wheels in the center of the roll cab.
  • Insert the M8 x 20mm hex bolts through the washers, then through the brackets and into the base of the roll cab, tightening securely.
  • Repeat with the two swivel castors at each outer end.
  • Stand the roll cab upright carefully.

ROLL CAB AND TOP CHEST CONNECTION

  • Remove the worktop from the roll cab.
  • Place the top chest onto the roll cab.
  • Place the connectors into the rectangular holes on the back of the top chest (fig.3.).
  • Fasten the connectors with the screws provided.

OPERATION

LIFT LATCH DRAWERS

  • To open: lift the drawer front whilst pulling it out (fig.4).
  • To close: shut the drawer firmly until the latch engages.
  • If the drawer does not latch, the hook (fig.4) may be misaligned or binding. Bend the hook gently until it is parallel to the drawer edge and engages when closed.

TO REMOVE DRAWERS

  • Pull the drawer out almost fully.
  • Locate the black locking levers (figs. 5 & 6).
  • Facing the drawer; lift one lever up (fig.5), and push the other lever down (fig.6).
  • With both levers held in this position, the drawer can be pulled out from the slides.

TO REPLACE DRAWERS

  • Extend the drawer runners from the cabinet.
  • Engage the slides on either side of the drawer carefully into the runners.
  • Push the drawer closed squarely until the drawer is closed fully, engaging the locking levers as it goes.

MAINTENANCE

  • Lubricate the drawer slides sparingly every six months.
  • Clean the metalwork periodically with warm water and mild detergent.
  • Car wax may be used to restore the shine to the paintwork.
  • Stubborn grease and oil marks can be removed by using a non-abrasive cleaner.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories, and packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling center, and disposed of in a manner that is compatible with the environment. When the product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and fluids according to local regulations.
