Whirlpool AV-IIVIF Refrigerator Ice and Water Connector

Installation Instructions
IMPORTANT: Connector for use with water in accessible locations only.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to identify water supply connection before beginning
installation procedure. Application of this connector with incorrect water
supply connection may cause leaks to appear.

Refrigerator Connection w/Water Valve
Thread one end of braided ice maker connector to the refrigerator water inlet. Hand tighten, then wrench tighten 1/4 turn more. -
Water Supply Line Connection w/Compression Union
Thread one end of the braided ice maker connector onto the 1/4″ OD x 1/4″ OD compression union. Hand tighten, then wrench tighten 1/4 turn more. Attach other end of 1/4″ OD x 1/4″ OD compression union to the household water line. Hand tighten, then wrench tighten 1/4 turn more. ~OR- -
Water Supply Line Connection w/Water Supply Shut Off Valve
Thread one end of the braided ice maker connector to the water supply shut off valve. Hand tighten, then wrench tighten 1/4 turn more. -
Turn on Water Supply and Check for Leaks. If Any Appear, Carefully Tighten Nuts Further.
