Care & Cleaning
- Cleaning. Turn your monitor off and unplug the adaptor. Clean the monitor surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner.
- Avoid using a cleaner containing alcohol or acetone. Use a cleaner intended for use with the LCD. Never spray cleaner directly on the screen, as it may drip inside the monitor and cause an electric shock.
The following symptoms are normal with the monitor:
- You may find slightly uneven brightness on the screen depending on the desktop pattern you use.
- When the same image is displayed for hours, an afterimage of the previous screen may remain after switching the image. The screen will recover slowly or you can turn off the Power Switch for hours.
- When the screen becomes black or flashes, or cannot work anymore, contact your dealer or service center to fix it. Do not repair the screen by yourself!

Adjusting the monitor
Using the kickstand
For optimal viewing, you can adjust the monitor to the angle that is most
comfortable for you.
Unfold and open the kickstand to adjust the monitor’s angle between 12˚ to
60˚.
Using the partition hook kit
-
Install the hook pad at the desired height on the hook L-bracket. Then attach the screw and secure it using an L-shaped screwdriver.
-
Loosen the knob to release the clamp of the hook. Then hang the hook to the partition wall.
-
Adjust the clamp to fit the thicknesses of the partition. Then tighten the knob to secure the hook in place.
-
To install another partition hook, repeat the previous steps.
Make sure both left and right hook pads are parallel. -
Fold the the kickstand upward. Then by holding the monitor with both hands, hang the kickstand of the monitor on the hook.
Using the C-clamp arm
- Install the z-axis adjustable clip to the C-clamp arm. Then attach the screw and secure it using an L-shaped screwdriver.
- Install the C-clamp arm to your desk. Then tighten the hand screw to secure the pole in place.
- Fold the the kickstand upward and install the tripod socket to the rear of the monitor. Then tighten the hinged D-ring screw to secure the tripod socket in place.
- Attach the tripod socket of the monitor to the clip.
- Adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable for you.

Detaching the C-clamp arm
- Push the locking latches inward to disengage the monitor from the
- axis adjustable clip. Then by holding the monitor with both hands, lift to remove the monitor.
- By holding the monitor with both hands, lift to remove the monitor.
- Loosen the hand screw securing the pole. Then remove the C-clamp arm from your desk.
- Using an L-shaped screwdriver, remove the screw securing the z- axis adjustable clip to the C-clamp arm. Then remove the z-axis adjustable clip.
Mounting the monitor to the wall
- Loosen the hinged D-ring screw securing the tripod socket. Then remove the tripod socket from the rear of the monitor.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the four screws from the rear of the monitor. Then mount the monitor on the wall.
- Only use the UL Listed Wall Mount Bracket with minimum weight/load 22.7kg (Screw size: M4 x 10mm).
- Tripod screw size: INCH 3/8 x L 10.4 mm.
Turning on the monitor
Press the Power button. The power indicator lights up in white to show that
the monitor is ON.
OSD (On-Screen Display) menu
How to reconfigure

Press the Menu button twice to activate the OSD menu.
Press the corresponding buttons on the monitor to navigate through the menu and make adjustments. -
Press the button to navigate through the functions. Highlight the desired function and press the button to enter its sub-menu.

In the sub-menu, press the button again to navigate through the sub-menu functions. Highlight the desired sub-menu function and press the button to select an option or press the button to adjust the setting.

Press the button to change the settings of the selected function. Then press the button to return to the previous menu.

To exit the OSD menu, press the button.
OSD function introduction
Splendid
This function contains eight sub-functions that you can select for your preference.
- Standard Mode: This is the best choice for document editing with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- sRGB Mode: This is the best choice for viewing photos and graphics from PCs.
- Scenery Mode: This is the best choice for scenery photo displaying with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Theater Mode: This is the best choice for movie watching with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Game Mode: This is the best choice for game playing with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Night View Mode: This is the best choice for playing dark-scene game or watching dark-scene movie with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Reading Mode: This is the best choice for book reading.
- Darkroom Mode: This is the best choice for a weak ambient light environment.
- In the Standard mode, the following function(s) are not user-configurable: Saturation, Skin Tone, Sharpness, and ASCR.
- In the sRGB mode, the following function(s) are not user-configurable: Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Color Temp., Skin Tone, Sharpness, and ASCR.
- In the Reading mode, the following function(s) are not user-configurable: Contrast, Saturation, Color Temp., Skin Tone, and ASCR.
Blue Light Filter
In this function, you can adjust the blue light filter setting to better protect your eyes. Press the Menu button to enter this menu.
Then you can adjust the blue light filter setting.
- 0: No changes.
- Max: The higher the level, the less blue light is scattered. When blue light filter is activated, the default settings of Standard Mode will be automatically imported. Besides maximum level, the brightness is user-configurable. Maximum is the optimized setting. It is compliance with TUV low blue light certification. The brightness function is not user configurable.

Users should take some time away from the display if working for long hours: It is advised to take short breaks (at least
5 mins) after around 1 hour of continuous working at the computer. Taking short and frequent breaks is more effective than a single longer break. -
To minimize eye strain and dryness in your eyes, users should rest the eye periodically by focusing on objects that are far away.

Eye exercises can help to reduce eye strain. Repeat these exercises often. If eye strain continues, please contact a physician. Eye exercises: (1) Repeating look up and down
(2) Slowly roll your eyes (3) Move your eyes diagonal. -
High energy blue light may lead to eye strain and AMD(Age-Related Macular Degeneration). Blue light Filter reduces 70% (max.) harmful blue light to avoid CVS(Computer Vision Syndrome) when the user adjusts the blue light filter bar to the maximum level.
Color
Set a desired color setting from this menu.

Brightness: Adjust the brightness level. The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.

Contrast: Adjust the contrast level. The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.

Saturation: Adjust the saturation level. The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.

Color Temp.: Select the desired color temperature. Available options: Cool, Normal, Warm, and User Mode.
In the User Mode, colors of R (Red), G (Green), and B (Blue) are user- configurable; the adjusting range is from 0 to 100. -
Skin Tone: Select the desired skin tone. Available options: Reddish, Natural, and Yellowish.

Set the image related setting from this menu.

Sharpness: Adjust the picture sharpness. The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.

Trace Free: Adjust the response time of the monitor.

Aspect Control: Adjust the aspect ratio to Full or 4:3.
4:3 is only available when the input resolution H:V < 16:9. -
VividPixel: ASUS Exclusive Technology that brings lifelike visuals for crystal-clear and detail-oriented enjoyment. The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.

ASCR: Turn on/off the ASCR (ASUS Smart Contrast Ratio) function.

Variable Refresh Rate: Allow a Variable Refresh Rate supported graphics source to dynamically adjust display refresh rate based on typical content frame rates for power efficient, virtually stutter free and low-latency display update.

Shadow Boost: Dark color enhancement adjust monitor gamma curve to enrich the dark tones in an image making dark scenes and objects much easier be found.

Select the input source from HDMI or USB Type-C input signal.
System Setup
Adjust the system configuration.

Splendid Demo Mode: Activate the demo mode for the Splendid function.

Volume: Adjust the volume level.

GamePlus: The GamePlus function provides a toolkit and creates a better gaming environment for users when playing different types of games.

Crosshair: The crosshair overlay with different crosshair options lets you choose the one that best suits the game you’re playing.

Timer: You can position the timer on the upper left corner of the display so you can keep track of the gaming time.

FPS Counter: The FPS (frames per second) counter lets you know how smooth the game is running.

Display Alignment: Display Alignment displays alignment lines on 4 sides of the screen, serving as an easy and handy tool for you to line up multiple monitors perfectly.

QuickFit: You can have a preview of the document or photo layout directly on screen without printing test copies.
- Alignment: This facilitates designers and users to organize content and layout on one page and achieve a consistent look and feel.
- Paper size: You can view the documents in real size on the screen.
- Photo: The various real photo sizes displayed provides photographers and other users to accurately view and edit their photos in real size on the screen.
- ECO Mode: Activate this ecology mode for power saving.
- OSD Setup: Configure the OSD screen related settings.
- OSD Timeout: Adjusts the OSD timeout from 10 to 120 seconds.
- DDC/CI: Enables or disables the DDC/CI function.
- Transparency: Adjusts the OSD background from opaque to transparent.
- Language: Select the OSD language.
- More: Return the next page of the System Setup menu.
- Back: Return the previous page of the System Setup menu.
- Key Lock: Select ON to disable all function keys. To cancel the key lock function, press the Menu button for more than five seconds.
- Power Key Lock: Disable/Enable the Power button.
- Information: Display the monitor information.
- Power Indicator: Turn the power LED indicator on/off.
- All Reset: Select YES to revert all settings to the factory default mode.
Shortcut
Assign the specific function to the shortcut key.
Available function choices for shortcut: Blue Light Filter, Splendid,
Brightness, Contrast, Color Temp., Volume, QuickFit, and GamePlus.
When a certain function is selected or activated, your shortcut key may not support.

Troubleshooting (FAQ)

• Make sure the USB Type-C or HDMI cable is properly connected between the Portable Monitor and the computer.
• Inspect the signal cable and make sure none of the pins are bent.
• Connect the computer with another available monitor to check if the computer is properly working.
Screen image is too light or dark| • Adjust the Brightness setting via OSD.
• USB Type-C cable can be used to light up the screen. If the power supply specification is less than 15W, you need to use an adapter instead.
• When the device is powered by USB Type-C, please use a power supply above 15W. If the power supply is between 15 and 27W, some functions may be limited.
Screen image bounces or a wave pattern is present in the image| • Make sure the USB Type-C or HDMI cable is properly connected between the Portable Monitor and the computer.
• Move electrical devices that may cause electrical interference.
