- CONNECTION AND SETUP
- POE (Power Over Ethernet) enables you to use just a single cable for both power and data transmission, allowing you to position your cameras anywhere without the need for a nearby power outlet. Plug and Play.
- Specification of Ethernet Cables
- SECULINK POE cameras support T-568B connectors and CAT5, CAT6, and CAT7 with 8 PIN Ethernet cables.
- The maximum cable length that the POE camera supports is 100 meters (328 feet).
- Connecting to POE NVR
- SECULINK POE Camera (Non-APP) is an add-on POE camera, which cannot work independently.
- It works perfectly when connected to ONVIF POE NVR.
- Connect your POE camera to the POE NVR by a single network cable, then the POE camera will get power via the POE NVR.
- If you want to power it via a POE switch, you need to make sure that the POE switch is 802.3at / 802.3af compliant (48V) and supports active mode.
- Adding to POE NVR
- Log into your SECULINK POE NVR and click on Quick Add to enter into the camera management interface.
- Then, click on Device Search to locate the IP address for your POE cameras that should be connected to the same network as your POE NVR.
- A list of all connected cameras will appear. Select the camera from the list by clicking on the checkbox, click Add to add the camera into the Added Devices menu.
- When it has been added, the camera will be ready to view on your POE NVR.
