SYSTEM PLUMBING

Minimize scale build-up & service-free

  • The heating element is service-free normally.
  • However, if you live in a real hard water area, it is suggested that a descaling device should be installed in line with the inlet and annual maintenance on the descaling device should be carried out.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Figure out where to mount the water heater unit, and mark 4 mounting holes on the wall according to the installation template(Fig.1).
  2. Drill holes(06x32mm) into the wall on that 4-marked position, put the expansion bolt into the mounting hole and then fix the 2 mounting brackets with screws and Phillips screwdriver (Fig.2andFig.3).
  3. The water heater has 2 mounting brackets on the back side, so all you need to do is hang the water heater on those fixed brackets on the wall and pull the water heater unit downside to sit it tight(Fig.4 ).

Plumbing Connection

  1. All water pipes must comply with national and applicable state and local water pipe codes.
  2. The unit should be connected directly to the main water supply. Flush the pipe with water to remove any debris or loose particles before pipe connections, to avoid clogging.
  3. It is required to use 1/2″NPT water connections to fit the models on V7B-140.
  4. Flexible water hoses are recommended to use with your water heater as part of the installation, it makes future maintenance more convenient. Please remember to install rubber seal rings at the connections. When all water connections are completed, check for leaks and take the necessary actions before proceeding.
  5. A set of service valves should be applied to the inlet and outlet fittings of the water heater V7B-140 if you live in the hard water area, so you could get easy access to annual maintenance. Also, a descaling device should be applied to the inlet pipe, to avoid scale build-up and ensure a long lifespan.
  6. When you do a pipe connection to the unit, Tightening must be avoided.

Electrical Connections

  1. All mounting and plumbing must be completed before proceeding with electrical hook-up.
  2. All electrical work must comply with national and applicable state and local electrical codes.
  3. This water heater must be permanently connected to the direct main breaker panel. The use of a plug and socket is forbidden.
  4. The unit must be connected to a properly grounded dedicated branch circuit of proper voltage rating.
  5. The V7B-140 hot water unit needs a 60AMP double pole breaker and a set of 6AWG/2 wires with Grounding wire for a 240V proper power supply.
  6. Before beginning any work on the electric connections, make sure that the main breaker panel switch is OFF to avoid any danger of electric shock.
  7. While connecting the wires to the panel breaker, please make sure the metal wire ends and the blocks touch completely. Then tighten the screws to make sure the full current can go through.
  8. Connect the wires to the cable fixed to the unit.
  9. As with all high-power appliances, make sure that you have turned off the various circuit breakers for the water heater before installing, disassembling or repairing the water heater. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious property damage, injury or death and this will avoid your warranty.
