Red switches
Smooth operation: Red switches provide a linear keystroke without a
tactile bump or click, resulting in a smooth and consistent typing experience.
Quiet: They produce minimal noise, making them suitable for quiet
environments.
Light actuation force: Red switches require less force to register a
keystroke, allowing for fast and effortless typing.
These advantages make red switches favored by users who prefer a smooth and
quiet typing experience with a lighter touch.
Brown switches
Tactile feedback: Brown switches provide a subtle tactile bump, giving a
gentle feel and feedback when pressed without producing a loud click.
Quiet operation: Compared to switches with audible clicks, brown switches
are relatively quiet, making them suitable for use in quieter environments.
Versatility: Brown switches strike a balance between the smoothness of
linear switches and the tactile feedback of clicky switches, making them
versatile for both typing and gaming.
These advantages make brown switches popular among users who desire a tactile
typing experience without the loud clicking sound associated with other switch
types. They offer a comfortable compromise between the linear and clicky
switches, suitable for a range of applications.
Blue switches
Tactile feedback: Blue switches provide a noticeable tactile bump, giving
a satisfying feel and feedback when pressed.
Audible click: The switches produce a distinct clicking sound, providing
