To ensure proper operation of this device, please read this instruction manual
carefully before using the device and keep it for further reference.
GENERAL CARE AND SAFETY GUIDE
YOUR SAFETY IS IMPORTANT TO US. PLEASE ENSURE YOU TAKE NOTE OF THE
INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS OUTLINED IN THIS MANUAL.
CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the
thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external
switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly
switched on and off by the utility.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge unless they are supervised or have been given instruction concerning
the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, you must not cover this
appliance. Covering this appliance presents fire risk and will activate the
safety fuse; permanently disabling the unit.
WARNING: Do not use this appliance in small rooms when they are occupied
by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own unless constant
supervision is provided.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, keep textiles, curtains, or any
flammable material a minimum distance of 1 metre from the air outlet.
WARNING: FIRE RISK EXISTS IF THE HEATER IS COVERED BY OR POSITIONED CLOSE
TO CURTAINS OR OTHER COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS.
Warning: Do not place the heater on LONG PILE CARPET OR FLOKATI RUGS. Use
a heat board if necessary.
- Use only the voltage specified on the rating label of the appliance.
- Keep all objects at least 1 metre from the front, sides and rear of the appliance.
- This appliance is intended for household use only and not for commercial or industrial use.
- Indoor use only.
- Use this appliance only as described in this manual. Any other use is not recommended by the manufacturer and may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
- Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged.
- The common cause of overheating is deposits of dust or fluff in the appliance. Ensure these deposits are removed regularly by unplugging the appliance and vacuum cleaning the air vents and grills.
- Never use the appliance to dry clothes.
- Always unplug appliance when not in use.
- When the appliance has been unpacked, check it for transport damage and ensure all parts have been delivered. If parts are missing or the appliance has been damaged, contact Kmart/ Target Customer Services Team.
- Do not use if there are visible signs of damage to the appliance.
- Do not connect the appliance to mains supply until completely assembled and adjusted.
- Ensure hands are dry before handling the plug or main unit.
- Ensure appliance is on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Do not operate with cord set coiled up as a heat build up is likely, which could be sufficient to become a hazard.
- Carry out regular checks of the supply cord to ensure no damage is evident
- Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord, plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Take to qualified electrical person for examination, electrical service or repair.
- Do not twist, kink or wrap the cord around the appliance, as this may cause the insulation to weaken and split. Always ensure that all cord has been removed from any cord storage area and is unrolled before use.
- It is recommended that this appliance is plugged directly into the wall socket. Power boards are not rated to supply power to high wattage appliances.
- Do not remove plug from power socket until the appliance has been switched off.
- Do not remove plug from power socket by pulling cord; always grip plug.
- Do not place cord under carpet or cover with rugs or furniture. Arrange the cord so it cannot be tripped over.
- Don’t place appliance on bedding or on thick & long carpet where the openings may get blocked.
- Switch off and use handle provided when moving
- Do not place appliance close to radiant heat source.
- Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening, as this may cause an electric shock, fire or damage to the appliance.
- Do not sit on the appliance.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning products on this appliance. Clean with a damp cloth (not wet) rinsed in hot soapy water only. Always remove plug from the mains supply before cleaning.
- Do not operate in areas where petrol, paint or other flammable liquids are used or stored.
- Do not use this appliance in the immediate surrounds of a bath, a shower, or a swimming pool or other liquids.
- The appliance must not be immersed in any liquids.
- There are no user serviceable parts installed in the unit.
- Do not place the unit in wardrobes or other enclosed spaces as this may cause fire hazards.
- This unit is not supposed to be used in or around locations where foodstuffs, works of art or delicate articles of science, etc. are stored.
- This appliance shall not be located immediately below socketoutlet.
- If your appliance does not work or is not working properly, return the product to Kmart/Target.
- The heater MUST only directly be plugged in to a fixed Domestic Power outlet , DO NOT use in conjunction with Extension cords , Power Boards or Double Adaptors , as these can overheat when overloaded.
- This heater must not be located immediately below an electrical outlet.
- Keep the air inlet and outlet free from objects at least 100cm in front and 50cm behind the heater. Do not hang anything on or in front of the heater.
- DO NOT use without the stable feet.For fixing the feet, refer to ASSEMBLY section.

Congratulations on the purchase of your new Heater. Before using your new
heater, it is important that you read and follow the instructions in this Use
and Care booklet, even if you feel that you are quite familiar with this
appliance. Find a place to keep this booklet handy for future reference.
Attention is drawn to section dealing with ‘IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS.’
This appliance has been designed to operate from a standard domestic power
outlet. It is not intended for industrial or commercial use.
ASSEMBLY
Before using the heater, the feet (supplied separately in the carton), must be
fitted to the unit. These are to be attached to the base of the heater using
the screws provided and with the aid of an Phillips head hand screwdriver (
Not supplied ),taking care to ensure that they are located correctly and that
holes in plastic feet align with the pilot holes in base of the heater as
shown in illustration below.
Note: The screws needed for the fitting of the feet are enclosed in the
plastic bag containing the heater Instruction booklet.
- Place the heater upside down on a soft cloth or carpet (To avoid causing any damage during assembly of the feet).
- Position the feet to align with the corresponding holes location on the base of the heater, secure with screws supplied and tighten them with screw driver.

OPERATION
When operated for the first time, the unit may emit an unpleasant burning type smell. This is normal, and will disappear after a short period of use. Always choose a safe location for the heater, keeping in mind the safety precautions outlined. Ensure that all packaging has been removed from the unit before use.
- Place the heater on a level, hard and heat resistant surface.
- Plug the power cord into a suitable 240V~50Hz wall outlet.
- Open the control panel cover.
- Turn on the On/Off switch, the fire illumination effect will be activated.
- Select the desired function:
- Rotate Thermostat control knob clockwise or anti-clockwise to achieve desired room temperature.
- Half power 900W, turn on Heating I switch
- Full power 1800W (both heating I and heating II switches activated simultaneously)
- Increase or decrease the fire illumination effect by rotating the fire adjustable dial until desired intensity is reached.
Warning: The heating element box and fan air intake / outlet is positioned underneath the heater.This area gets hot during operation and should not be operated under , near or on top of flammable materials such as curtains drapes , other non -heat resistant materials like Carpet , Vinyl , floating or Timber floors that could discolor or be permanently damaged as a result of accidental airflow obstruction , position heater on heat board between heater and non-heat resistant substrate. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any grille opening as this may cause an electric shock , fire or damage the heater, contact with the elements inside the heater could result in electric shock.
THERMAL SAFETY CUT-OUT
This appliance is fitted with a safety cut out, which will operate if the
heater overheats (eg, due to blocked air outlet). For safety reasons, the
heater will NOT automatically reset. To reset the heater, disconnect the
heater from the power outlet. Let the heater cool down before reconnecting the
heater to the power outlet and switching it back on.
WARNING: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertently resetting the

switched on and off by the utility.
SAFETY TIP OVER SWITCH
The heater comes equipped with a safety tip over switch. It will cut
off the power due to accidental knocking over.

NOTE: As a result of continual improvements, the design and
specifications of the product within may differ slightly to the unit
illustrated on the packaging.
CARE AND CLEANING
- Before cleaning, ensure that the heater is switched in the off position and is unplugged from the socket.
- Clean the exterior surfaces of the heater with a dry, soft cloth.
- Never use any form of detergents or solvents to clean the heater.
- Never spray with liquids or submerge in liquids or water.
- DO NOT attempt to clean the interior of the heater.
- DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN THE CASE OF THIS HEATER at any time. There are no consumer serviceable parts inside this unit.
- When the heater is stored during the off season, neatly wind the cord around the base of the heater to prevent any damage to the cord.
DISPOSAL
Do not dispose of packaging or the product through your household waste!
The product and packaging are made from recyclable materials (plastics,
metals, paper).
If the product is no longer suitable for use dispose of it in an
environmentally friendly manner in accordance with your local council.
12 Month Warranty
Thank you for your purchase.
Your new product is warrantied to be free from defects in materials and
workmanship for the period stated above, from the date of purchase, provided
that the product is used in accordance with accompanying recommendations or
instructions where provided. This warranty is in addition to your rights under
the Australian Consumer Law.
For New Zealand customers, this warranty is in addition to statutory rights
observed under New Zealand legislation.
We will provide you with your choice of a refund, repair (where possible) or
exchange (availability dependent) for this product if it becomes defective
within the warranty period. The business will bear the reasonable expense of
claiming the warranty.
This warranty will no longer apply where the defect is a result of alteration,
accident, misuse, abuse or neglect.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase and contact our Customer
Service Centre as listed below, for the entity you purchased this product
from, for any difficulties with your product. Warranty claims and claims for
expense incurred in returning this product can be addressed to the respective
Customer Service Centre.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure
and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are
also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be
of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
