WARNING To reduce the risk of personal injury, discomfort, or property damage, please read and follow the health and safety information below before using the Ray-Ban Meta Collection smart glasses (“the Product”).

Intended Uses & Users

For ages 13 and up. The Product is intended only for use by persons aged 13 or older. Do not allow anyone under 13 to use the Product. VISION & HEARING

  • Vision conditions. If the Product has prescription lenses, it is intended only for use by the prescribed user.
  • Use of a Product with prescription lenses by other users may provide inadequate vision correction or vision that is worse than normal. Hearing loss or damage. Exposure to loud sounds may damage your hearing and could distract you.
  • You can reduce risks by avoiding loud environments and avoiding listening at high volumes for prolonged periods covering the speakers of the device and your ears (e.g., with a close-fitting/helmet, or cupping hands over your ears), sound pressure levels could reach levels that are harmful to your hearing. Please use caution.

Discomfort & OTHER Conditions

  • Discomfort. The Product is intended to be worn for extended periods.
  • If you feel any discomfort (for example, headaches, nausea other abnormalities, etc.), take a break from using the electronic functionalities and the Meta View App for several minutes.
  • If discomfort persists, stop using the Product and consult a healthcare professional.
  • Interference with personal medical devices.
  • The Product and its charging case contain magnetic material and components that emit radio waves, which could affect the operation of medical devices such as pacemakers or other implantable devices, hearing aids, or insulin pumps.
  • If you have an electronic medical device, consult your doctor or the medical device manufacturer before using the Product.
  • Turn off the electronic functionalities of the Product if you notice any interference with your medical device.

INTERACTIONS & ENVIRONMENTS

  • Pay attention. Interacting with the Product, such as using the Assistant or or receiving visual feedback through the visible LED lights, may distract you or increase the time it takes to react to hazards. Always pay attention to your surroundings, including signage and obstacles.
  • Turn off electronic functionalities of the Product if you are in a situation that requires your full attention, or where distractions could put you or others in harm’s way.
  • Driving. Use caution when operating a motor vehicle while wearing the Product, and keep your focus on driving. If necessary to maintain attention, turn off the electronic functionalities of the Product. Follow local laws and requirements applicable to mobile phone operations.
  • Do not use the camera while driving.
  • If the Product impairs your peripheral vision, do not wear it while driving. The lenses from Category 1 to Category 4 in Table 1 are not suitable for driving in twilight at night. Lenses with filter category 4 are not suitable for driving and road use. Additionally, any sunglasses identified as +NSRU are not suitable for driving and road use.
  • Limitations of Use. This product must not be used as safety or protection against mechanical impact.
  • They are not to be used when looking directly at the sun or as protection against UV rays originating from sources of artificial radiation.
  • To perform properly, the lenses must be fitted securely in the frame.
  • Do not wear the Product in activities or environments where you 6 wouldn’t wear regular glasses or sunglasses.
  • Flying. Check applicable aviation security restrictions on personal electronics before flying with the Product. The Product contains lithium-ion batteries and should not be placed in checked-in luggage.
  • Use the Product in compliance with all the applicable local laws, rules and regulations. Use common sense and respect third parties’ rights, privacy and confidentiality.

INTENDED HANDLING & MAINTENANCE

  • Handle with care & avoid damage. The Product is sensitive
    electronic equipment and should be handled with care.

    • Do not heat or bend the front frame or temples, including for fitting, as they may become damaged and even catch fire.
    • Take care when folding the temples (earpieces or arms) in or out.
    • The Product contains sensitive electronic hardware and should be handled with reasonable care.
    • Do not drop, strike, or shake the product excessively.
    • Do not use the Product if it is damaged.
    • Do not attempt to open, disassemble or tamper with the Product.
    • Storage. Store the Product in its case, in a clean, dry, temperature-controlled environment. Keep in the pouch or a hard case in a dry place at a temperature between – 10°C (14° F) and +35°C (95° F).
    • Cleaning and maintenance. To clean the Product use a dampened cloth and mild soap avoiding all types of solvents or alcohol. Do not use dirty or abrasive cloths which could alter the features of the lenses.
    • WARNING Potentially explosive atmospheres Do not store or carry flammable liquids, gases, or explosive materials in the same compartment as your product, its parts, and/or accessories.
    • Tum off your product, and do not remove or install battery chargers, AC adapters, or any other accessory for your product char when you are in an area with potentially explosive atmospheres.
    • Water & liquids.
    • The Product is not designed to resist water splashes, submersion or extended exposure to water or other liquids. In case of water exposure, dry the product thoroughly and clear the charging areas of residue or other debris.
    • Keep the Product’s charging case away from liquids. It is not water resistant and exposure to liquids could damage the charging case or other property and lead to injury.
  • Do not use if broken or damaged.

CHARGING, ELECTRICAL & HEAT

  • Charging. Use only the provided charging accessories to charge the Product. Keep the charging port clear and clean of debris and residue
  • To clean the charging port, use the included microfiber cloth.
    • DDo not wear or clean the Product while you are charging it.
    • Periodically inspect the Product, charging port and charging accessories for damage or signs of wear. Do not use if any part is damaged, or cracked, or if any internal component is exposed.
    • Do not try to repair the Product yourself, instead contact support at www.ray-ban.com.
  • Overheating. The Product shouldn’t overheat or cause thermal discomfort during normal use. If it does, stop using it immediately and contact support. Keep the Product away from fire and heat sources
  • Battery. The Product contains a lithium-ion battery that is not user-replaceable. Do not attempt to remove or replace the battery.
  • The battery may present a fire or chemical burn hazard if misused. Do not disassemble, crush, puncture, short external contacts. Do not leave in the car under direct sunlight or exposed to excessive heat or incinerate.
  • Dispose of the battery in line with instructions and local requirements.
  • If the battery fluid leaks, do not touch it. If the battery fluid touches your
  • skin or eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek medical attention.
  • Accessories. Use only original accessories and spare parts.
  • The use of non-approved accessories may permanently damage the Product, void the Luxottica Limited Warranty and increase the risk of injury or damage to other property.

Software
Software. Use only with the authorized Meta View App. Update the app and the Product firmware when prompted. Do not attempt to modify the provided software. Software is provided as-is and is subject to terms and conditions.

CONFORMITY TO INTERNATIONAL REGULATIONS FOR SUNGLASSES
This Product complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/425 and Personal Protective Equipment (Enforcement) Regulations 2018 (SI 2018 No. 390) in Great Britain. It is also compliant with the US FDA Reg 21CFR 801.410 Reference standard EN ISO 12312- 1:2022., ANSI Z80.3-2018. HOW TO USE THE PRODUCT AS SUNGLASSES
Protection against the risk of damage to the eyes due to exposure to sunlight. Category and type of filter: such indication (a number and a letter) can be found on the packaging or the Bar Code sticker (identified as Pl) or as the last 2 characters on the temples of the glasses where the model number is. The number indicates the category of the filter (protection against sun glare 0=Very Limited, 1=Limited, 2=Good, 3=High, 4=Very High, for recommended use see the row of the table.

Table 1 at the number); the letter indicates the type of filter (N=Normal, P=Polarized, F=Photochromic). For photochromic lenses (F), if there is just one number, this refers to the lenses’ category in bright light conditions, the category being one lower in low light. If there are two numbers, these refer to the category of the lenses in bright light and low light conditions respectively. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

FCC RF EXPOSURE INFORMATION (SAR)
This device is designed and manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy set by the Federal Communications Commission of the United States. The exposure standard for wireless devices employs a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate or SAR. The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6 W/kg. The FCC has granted Equipment Authorization for this model device with all reported SAR levels evaluated as in compliance with the FCC RF exposure guidelines. LUXOTTICA LIMITED WARRANTY

This limited consumer warranty is provided by Luxottica Group S.p.A., Piazzale Cadorna 3, 20123 Milano, Italy. This limited consumer warranty (the “Warranty”) covers defects and malfunctions in the new Luxottica products) it accompanies (the “Product”). The Warranty continues for one (1) year from the date of purchase of the Product (the “Limited Warranty Period”). However, & if you have any hero Paleto 2 in the EL or EF TA, the Limited.

We warrant that the Product will, under normal and intended use, function by the technical specifications or accompanying product documentation (the “Warranted Functionality) during the Limited Warranty Period. For the avoidance of doubt, any software or services that are required to achieve the Warranted Functionality may be updated, modified or limited, so long as it continues to maintain (or exceed) the Warranted Functionality. This Warranty is not available to products that were purchased from any source other than Luxottica or an authorized dealer. This Warranty is valid only with proof of purchase that clearly shows the purchase date. If you send us a Product without valid proof of purchase, then we reserve the right to return the Product to you at your cost, subject to prepayment, or, if such costs are not prepaid, we will keep the Product for thirty (30) days for your pick-up

This Warranty is limited and not applicable to any lens scratches. The installation or replacement of any lenses* should be conducted by Luxottica or a Luxottica-authorized dealer. Any damage caused by the unauthorized installation, replacement or alteration of the lenses is not covered by this Warranty. If your Product is defective or malfunctioning, we will either repair or replace that Product or update software or services, so that the Product performs substantially by the Warranted Functionality. In some cases, we may instead refund the purchase price paid for the Product. Your remedy under this Warranty will be the repair, replacement or refund of the Product as determined by Luxottica, however, we will honour your preference for a repair or replacement unless it is impossible or disproportionate for us to do so.

This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights under consumer protection laws or regulations in the jurisdiction of purchase or, if different, in your country of residence. Such rights vary from state to state and country to country. The benefits conferred by this Warranty are in addition to and do not affect any rights and remedies conveyed by such consumer protection 18 laws and regulations (including, without limitation, national laws implementing Directive 1999/44/EC and Directive 2019/771). You are entitled to remedies free of charge if your goods do not conform with the requirements set out under the laws in your jurisdiction. The other remedies available to you according to the laws in your jurisdiction are not affected by this Warranty. The scope of technical support offered by Luxottica consists of helping to diagnose and resolve problems with defects in the Product. Please note that when contacting Luxottica via telephone, long- distance charges may apply, depending on your calling area. REGISTRATION Product registration is not required as a condition of coverage under this Warranty, but some Luxottica products require periodic connection to an online account to ensure full functionality.

HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM
If you have a problem with your Product, please visit us at www.ray- ban.com to get helpful service and contact information, and to submit a claim form to obtain warranty service. Unless specifically stated elsewhere in this Warranty, to make a warranty claim, you need to return your Product to Luxottica or to the authorized dealer from which the product was purchased, together with your proof of purchase.

If your warranty claim is deemed to be valid, and we find a defector malfunction covered by this Warranty, we will replace or repair the Product so it provides the functionality warranted. Subject to your rights under any local laws, if we determine that a Product should be replaced, the replacement may be a new, refurbished, or re-manufactured Product. Save for your rights and remedies available under your local laws, the provision of a repaired or replacement product does not restart or otherwise extend the Limited Warranty Period.

If we determine, in our sole discretion, that none of the listed means are reasonable to correct a defect or malfunction, then we may refund to you the price you paid to purchase the Product. We may not return the original Product to you. If your warranty claim is not deemed to be valid. then we reserve the right to return the Product to you at your cost, subject to prepayment, or, if such costs are not prepaid, we will keep the Product for thirty (30) days for your pick-up before it is disposed of.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO REMOVE ANY DATA BY RESTORING THE PRODUCT TO FACTORY SETTINGS BEFORE THE PRODUCT IS RETURNED TO LUXOTTICA OR AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. We cannot guarantee that
we will be able to repair the Product without risk to or loss of data and any replacement product will not contain any of your data that was stored on the original Product. LUXOTTICA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA WHATSOEVER EXCEPT WHERE SUCH LOSS IS CAUSED BY OUR FAILURE TO USE REASONABLE CARE AND SKILL. WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA CAUSED BY YOUR FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE TERMS OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.

The Limited Warranty Period is extended by a duration equal to the time during which we had the Product in our possession for the performance of the Warranty, as described above. Except to the extent that the law requires otherwise, any expenses incurred by you in returning the Product for warranty assessment will be borne by Luxottica using a pre-paid returns label which will be provided to you to enable you to return your Product for warranty assessment free of charge, or other methods listed at www.ray-ban.com. If the returned Product is deemed (at Luxottica’s discretion) to be eligible for a valid warranty claim, then Luxottica will automatically incur the costs of any further freight charges required to return the repaired or replacement product to you.

If the warranty claim is deemed to be invalid and we do not find a defect or malfunction covered by this Warranty, we will contact you to see if you want us to conduct repairs at your cost and, in any event, you will be charged for the outbound freight to return your Product based on Luxottica’s standard shipping rates.

FOR CONSUMERS IN AUSTRALIA
This Warranty is offered by Luxottica Retail Australia PTY Ltd, Level 5, 75 Talavera Road, Macquarie Park, NSW Australia. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Your rights and the benefits given to you under this Warranty are in addition to other statutory rights and remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law and other laws.

The Warranty continues for one (1) year from the date of purchase of the Product (the “Limited Warranty Period” which means that a defect or malfunction in the Product must appear within one (1) year if you are to be entitled to claim on this Warranty. LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER, AND LUXOTTICA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR: DELIVERY OR INSTALLATION, OR LABOR CHARGES FOR SETUP OF THE PRODUCT AND/OR ADJUSTMENT OF CUSTOMER CONTROLS ON THE PRODUCT. DAMAGES CAUSED BY MISUSE, ABUSE, ACCIDENTS, FIRE, THEFT, DISAPPEARANCE, MISPLACEMENT, FLUCTUATIONS AND POWER SURGES, CONNECTIONS TO IMPROPER VOLTAGE OR INCORRECT
ELECTRICAL LINE VOLTAGE, VIRUSES, MALWARE, RECKLESS, WILLFUL OR INTENTIONAL CONDUCT OR NEGLECT. DAMAGES CAUSED BY SERVICING THE PRODUCT WHICH HAS NOT BEEN PRE- PRE-AUTHORISED BY LUXOTTICA DAMAGES CAUSED BY USAGE THAT IS NOT BY THE PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS/DOCUMENTATION.

DAMAGES CAUSED BY FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS DOCUMENTATION OR FAILURE TO PERFORM CLEANING OR PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE COMBINATION OF THE PRODUCT WITH OTHER NON-LUXOTTICA BRANDED PRODUCTS, ACCESSORIES, PARTS OR COMPONENTS OR USE OF PRODUCTS, EQUIPMENT, SYSTEMS, UTILITIES, SERVICES, SOFTWARE, PARTS SUPPLIES, ACCESSORIES, APPLICATIONS, INSTALLATIONS, REPAIRS, EXTERNAL WIRING OR CONNECTORS NOT SUPPLIED OR AUTHORIZED BY LUXOTTICA THAT DAMAGE THE PRODUCT. SIGNAL ISSUES, RECEPTION PROBLEMS AND DISTORTION RELATED TO NOISE, ECHO, INTERFERENCE OR OTHER SIGNAL TRANSMISSION AND DELIVERY PROBLEMS. ANY EQUIPMENT OR COMPONENTS THAT WERE NOT INCLUDED IN, OR WITH YOUR PRODUCT AS ORIGINALLY SOLD. NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR, INCLUDNG22 LENS SCRATCHES.

DAMAGE CAUSED AS A RESULT OF IMPROPER TRANSPORTATION OR PACKING/PACKAGING WHEN RETURNING THE PRODUCT TO LUXOTTICA OR A RAY-BAN META COLLECTION DEALER. A PRODUCT THAT REQUIRES MODIFICATION OR ADAPTATION TO ENABLE IT TO OPERATE IN ANY COUNTRY OTHER THAN THE COUNTRY FOR WHICH IT WAS DESIGNED, MANUFACTURED, APPROVED AND/ OR AUTHORIZED. OR REPAIR OF THE PRODUCT WHICH RESULTS IN DAMAGE AS A RESULT OF THESE MODIFICATIONS. DAMAGE TO PRODUCTS WHERE THE ANTI- COUNTERFEITING CODE (OR EQUIVALENT)| HAS BEEN REMOVED, ERASED, DEFACED, ALTERED OR MADE ILLEGIBLE.

This Warranty does not include any specific guarantees that the Product will be error-free, or regarding uptime or continued availability of data security features of software or online accounts, that any software, firmware or online sites will function uninterrupted or error-free. Except in the US and to the extent prohibited by any applicable law in any other country, this Warranty is void if a Product is returned with removed, damaged or tampered labels or any alterations (including the unauthorized removal of any component or external cover).

IMPLIED WARRANTIES
EXCEPT IN THE EU, EFTA AND UK AND EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY ANY APPLICABLE LAW IN ANY OTHER COUNTRY, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT IS DISCLAIMED. FOR THE US ONLY, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES THAT CANNOT BE DISCLAIMED ARE EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD AS SET OUT IN THIS WARRANTY. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY LAW, LUXOTTICA’S MAXIMUM LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY YOU FOR THE PRODUCT PLUS ANY INTEREST ALLOWED BY LAW REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF CLAIM.
