Installation Instructions

For Use With Cold Water Only.
Note: This system is intended to filter the cold side of a standard kitchen faucet. Installation should be completed on the cold water line.

CONTENTS

  1. Remove system from box. Verify all components are present.

  2. Turn off cold water valve under sink. Install only on cold water ine.

  3. Open cold water side of sink faucet to relieve pressure.
    Ensure water flow stops. If water didn’t stop flowing, turn off other valve under the sink.

  4. Close cold water handle above the sink once pressure is relieved.

  5. Using an appropriate wrench, disconnect the cold water riser from the cold water valve on the household plumbing.

  6. Determine location for drinking water system. Allow 3 inches below filter bottom to allow for replacement of filter. Use the bracket to mark hole locations on cabinet wall. Mount filter head to cabinet. Insert filter into head referencing installation instructions on the opposite side.
    CAUTION: 3/8″ tubing provided needs to be used for both inlet and outlet connections to the filter head. Take care to leave adequate length of tubing for both connections.

  7. Using 3/8″ tubing provided, measure length from cold water valve to inlet side (left) of filter system. Cut tubing to length. Take care to make a straight cut to avoid leaks. Insert one end of 3/8″ tubing into inlet side quick connect of filter head.

  8. Push other end of tubing through hole in 3/8″ nut, so the threads inside the nut are towards the cut end of the tube.
    Push 3/8″ ferrule over end of tube. Push 3/8″ insert into tubing.
    Insert tubing into cold water valve so that 3/8″ nut can be tightened onto 3/8″ threads on valve. Before tightening with wrench, ensure tubing is seated inside the valve’s 3/8″ port. Tighten with wrench.

  9. Attach 3/8 tubing to outlet side of the head on the right side.

  10. Attach male thread on 3/8″ adapter to the free cold water riser from step 1. Tighten with wrench. Do not overtighten. Insert open end of 3/8″ tubing into open side of 3/8″ adaptor.

  11. Open the cold water faucet tap above the sink.
    Slowly open cold water valve below the sink and flush system for 6 minutes. Some black particles in water is normal. Allow to flush until water run clear.

  12. Close the cold water tap above the sink. With system now under pressure, check all undersink plumbing connections for leaks and

Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate dis­nfection before or after the system. Systems certified for cyst reduction may be used on disinfected waters that may contain filterable cysts.

1 VEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

WHAT IS COVERED UNDERTHE LIMITED WARRANTY?
[HYDROVOS] warrants to the original consumer who purchased- the Product that the Product is free of de­fects in materials and workmanship during the warranty period (“Warranty”). The warranty Period, together with any warranties implied by aw, shall be limited to a duration of one (1) year from the original date of purchase by the consumer. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. Warrantor does not authorize anyone to assume for t any liability or to make on ts behalf any additional warranties in connection with this Product or any part thereof.
WHAT S NOT COVERED UNDER THE LIMITED WARRANTY?
This Warranty does not cover any damage that results from abuse, misuse, alteration or other actions or events beyond the control of HYDROVOS, including, but not limited to, damage caused by accident, fire, flood, freezing, Acts of God, misapplication, neglect, or exposure to oxidizing agents (such as chlorine, ozone, chloramines and other contaminants). This Warranty also does not cover damage to the Product that results from improper installation, use of the Product, or use of accessories or components that do not comply or conform to Product’s specifications. The Product must be used in operating conditions that conform to Warrantor’s recommended design guidelines. Refer to the specifications section in the nstallation and Operating manual for approved application parameters. This Warranty is void if the Product is modified, repaired or altered by someone not authorized by Warrantor.
WHAT ARE YOUR REMEDIES UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY?
During the Warranty Period, HYDROVOS will, n its sole discretion, either (a) repair or replace a Product [or part] that is defective free of charge or (b) refund the purchase price of such Product. HYDROVOS’s obligations of repair, replacement, or refund are conditioned upon the return of the defective Product to HYDROVOS in accordance with the terms of this Warranty. This Warranty does not cover any labor, transpor­ tation, or shipping expenses incurred.
HOW DO YOU TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE?
To obtain warranty service, you must notify HYDROVOS during the Warranty Period by calling 833-787-5001 or sending an email to warranty@hydrovos.com and providing; (a) prove of purchase, which may include the original receipt, order form, or bill of sale, (b) identification of the Product involved including ts model or serial number, and (c) a description of the nature of the defect.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
THIS WARRANTY AND THE REMEDIES DESCRIBED ABOVE ARE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES AND ARE PROVIDED IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, WHETHER ORAL OR ARISING BY USAGE OF TRADE OR COURSE OF DEALING, NCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTIES OF FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER AND IS INTENDED TO EXCLUDE ANY LIABILITY ON THE PART OF WARRANTOR, WHETHER UNDERTHIS WARRANTY OR UNDER ANY WARRANTY MPLIED BY LAW, FOR ANY ANTICIPATED OR LOST PROFITS, INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, SPECIAL DAMAGES, GEN­ ERAL DAMAGES, CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, COSTS, TIME CHARGES OR OTHER LOSSES, WHETHER BASED ON BREACH OF CONTRACT, TORTIOUS CONDUCT OR ANY OTHER THEORY, NCURRED IN CONNECTION WITH THE PURCHASE, NSTALLATION, REPAIR OR OPERATION OF THIS PRODUCT. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF NCIDENTAL OR CONSEOUENTIOAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
