Instructions
Note:
- Gently acquaint your pet with the item before the first use. This product is not suitable for long-term stays of your pet.
- In case of inappropriate handling the guarantee is void. Inappropriate te handling also causes unnecessary dangerous situations.
- The trailer is equipped with reflectors on the front and on the back. Reflecting stripes all around provide better visibility. In cases of bad visibility and darkness, please attach additional self-luminous rear lights.
- Only use the trailer with a tow bar and with the safety strap atta- ched correctly. Ensure before each ride that bicycle and trailer are connected correctly.
- The maximum loading capacity may not be exceeded. Check air pressure and tyre profile regularly.
- Please note that riding with a trailer influences the braking beha- viour of your bike and the braking distance becomes longer! Adapt your cycling style accordingly and pay attention to the excess width of the trailer. If necessary, practice riding your bike with the trai- ler attached beforehand – without your pet but with a comparable weight and pay attention to the changed steering behaviour and handling in bends caused by the trailer.
- When using the trailer, always use the signal pennant provided.
- The trailer is intended for carrying pets or objects only and not for transporting children.
To connect to the bicycle
In order to attach the trailer coupling to the left side of your bike, please
loosen the nut of the rear axle. In case your bicycle has a quick-release
wheel, pull out axle completely, push it through the trailer coupling, insert
it into the hub and tighten the nut again. The hitch should be installed with
the connector piece facing out- wards and backwards so that the tow bar can be
attached. Now push the end of the tow bar over the connector piece of the
trailer coupling. Lock the connector in place with the cotter pin. Loop the
safety strap around the bike frame and close it.
To secure your pet
Only ever allow your pet to get in or out through the rear door. Ensure that
the bicycle cannot fall over. Secure your pet with the harness and the short
leash. Always ride with the rear door clo- sed and your pet attached.
Never leave your pet in the trailer without supervision.
Important Information
Due to transport, the spokes of the wheels can become slightly loose. Therefore, tighten the spokes evenly by hand before the first use of the trailer. Repeat this as required.
