SC-348E Show Case

  • Please carefully read this instruction book before using.

  • Please take care to hold.

  • This cooler is for commercial use, and in accordance with the stipulations of national standard, it could only be used for storing food, and could not be used for other purposes including storing live things, flower, medicine, vaccine, chemical reagent, blood products and biological products.

Features of the product

  • This product is a commercial-use cooler with an elegant desigh & appearance, fast refrigeration, and is suitable to be used in shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels, and cold drinks shop.

  • With double-layer anti-condensation glass, the door has good heat insulation and high transparency that provides a clearer view of stored food for the user.

  • Top light canopy display to create a strong advertisement and brand awareness purpose.

  • Air-cooling speed is fast and creates a uniform temperature of the interior air.

  • The food rack can be freely adjusted according to size of the stored food.

  • Lock slot is provided on the bottom left of the door. It can be used with the lock to secure the stored food.

  • The light canopy is optional part.
  • The adjustable feets and castors are optional components.
  • The thermostat and electronic thermostat are optional components.
  • The number of shelves is adjusted according to the different needs of customers.

The Haier cooler bought by the customer may differ from the actual unit to the illustration provided because of the development of the product and serialization.

Light canopy and switch

  • Instructions for installing and disassembling the light canopy:

  • Light canopy is optional. For the installation process, please refer to the instructions.

  • During the installation, insert the light canopy into the terminal on top of the cabinet then connect it with the plug at the back of the light canopy.

  • When disassembling, unplug the terminal at the back of the light canopy, then remove the light canopy.

  • The main switch for both the light canopy and the interior light is located inside the cooler on the top right.

  • “I” indicates switch on; “O” indicates switch off. Please cross-check the switch status before use.

Notice for safety

This appliance is designed to use with 220-240/50Hz AC power supply.
In the case of fluctuation in power, the range is huge, it may cause the following issues:
i. Cooler fails to start
ii. Damage to temperature controller and compressor
iii. Abnormal sound arises when the compressor is working.

Special socket should be used and has reliable earthing. When the cooler is placed, the plug should be easily reached to socket.

Inflammable substance, explosive substance, strong corrosive salt, alkali, and medicine or biological products that have strict requirements on temperature is not allowed to be stored in the cooler.

Do not store inflammable materials around the cooler to avoid accidents.

When coal gas or inflammable gas is leaking:

  • Close the leaking valve
  • Open the door and window and let those air out of the room
  • Do not pull the power plug or insert the power plug of the cooler

Children should be supervised to ensure that they are not playing with the appliance.

Once the cooler is powered off, it should be switched on after waiting for at least 5 minutes to avoid damage to the compressor or system During maintenance, the power plug should be pulled out from the power outlet.

If the power supply cord needs to be extended, the additional line cross- section area should not be less than 0.75mm. If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by our authorized service center.

Ambient environment

The cooler should be placed horizontally and stable. It should be removed from all packaging to reduce vibration and noise. When a unit is being moved, the inclination angle should not be more than 45°.


Do not place the cooler under direct sunlight or at a place where it will expose to external heating sources. The ambient temperature should not exceed the climate-type temperature on the nameplate. (ST:16~38℃, T:16~43℃)

Install the cooler in a good ventilation room to have better cooling. A distance of 10cm between the wall and the cooler is required to ensure adequate ventilation.

Do not place the cooler where the temperature is too low or not according to the temperate climate.

Never place the cooler at a humid area or where it may be easily splashed by water. Clean and dry any water splashes and stains with soft cloths immediately to prevent rust and the unit should place at a shaded area to avoid the rain.

Avoid placing the cooler near any acute corner angle to avoid contact to the glass door.

Description of Sign meaning
**** The content with “warning” sign is in association with product safety and the user’s personal safety; the operation should be strictly in accordance with the warning material.
The content with the “forbid” sign is an operation that should be absolutely forbidden, otherwise, it may cause damage to the cooler or damage to the user’s personal safety.

Preparations before use.

  1. Unpack all the packaging
    Including foam base.

  2. Adjustment of feet
    Adjust the feet to make the cooler horizontal so as to reduce vibration and noise.

  3. Clean the cooler before use

  4. Stand Upright
    After being moved, the cooler should be standing for at least 30 minutes before switching it on.

  5. Power on
    After turning on the power, make a trial testing for half an hour. If the temperature drop to the necessary level, cooler operation is normal.

After unpacking the cooler and placing it at the right position, it should be operated for half an hour before pulling in foods or beverages for storage.

Temperature adjustment

  • The storage temperature is adjusted by thermostat which is installed on the fan motor board in the back of the cooler. The inside temperature reduces gradually it you take the thermostat position from • t ” to • 7 ” . which depends on the environment and kind of storage. position ” 7 ” is the lowest temperature position, ” 0 ” is the turning off point, and the cooler stops operation. The factory settings will be ” 4 “.
  • Temperature controller regulation guide: In summer, ambient temperature is a little high, the temperature control knob should be rotated in a counterclockwise direction, and the step should be changed to ‘2″; in cold weather. ambient temperature Is a little low, the temperature control knob should be rotated in a clockwise direction, and the step should be changed to “3-4”; before leaving the plant, the temperature control knob is regulated to 4 . Before putting into operation, the cooler’s temperature controller knob should be checked for a suited position and should not be frequently adjusted.

  • Start up
    Plug in, the display screen is lit and unlocked. The temperature display B showsthe actual temperature of the cooler.

  • Display lock / unlock function
    To unlock the cooler for temperature setting, press both A1 and A2 for 3 seconds concurrently.
    Under the unlocking state, press both A1 and A2 for 3 seconds concurrently, or without pressing any buttons within 30 seconds, the temperature setting will be locked again and the lock icon will be illuminated.

  • When the display screen flashes F3, it indicates sensor failure. Kindly contact after-sales service for repair. Display screen will stop flashing error code F3 once the problem is solved.

  • Temperature Setting
    Under the unlocking state, temperature can be adjusted by pressing on A1 to reduce and A2 to increase and the range is within 0 to 8℃. If no action is taken within 5 seconds, the set point will be stored automatically.

  • Power off memory
    **** This product comes with a power-off memory. It will work according to the previous setting before power outage when turn on again. The default temperature of the refrigerator is 5℃, and some products do not have electronic temperature controllers. The product is subject to the actual model.

Light and illumination description

  • This product comes with an interior and top display canopy light. (The light canopy is optional as some model series does not come with it.) There is only one main switch for both the light canopy and the interior light which is located inside the cooler on the top right. Canopy light can be used to advertise the brand logo on top.

  • How to replace the interior light:
    • Turn off the power, unscrew the lampshade and take it off.
    • Replace with a new light bulb and install it.

  • How to replace the light canopy. (Optional)

  • Turn off the power, unscrew the canopy connection strip and pull out the canopy plate.

  • Replace with a new light bulb and install it.
    Please note that the replacement of light must be operated by the professional staff

Food storage instructions

Ensure foods are dry before putting it into the cooler for storage.

Do not store biological products, medicine, and flower which required a specific temperature.

Food should stay 1-3cm away from the back chamber for better air circulation during storage.

Leave space in between food for better air circulation.

The food should be sealed before putting into the cooler to prevent the loss of moisture and odour mixing.

Material of the packaging should be asepsis, fragrance-free, airproof, and waterproof.

The storage food should be classified especially for cooked food. Meat and fish should not be stored for too long to ensure freshness.

Do take note on the food expiry date stated on the product packaging to ensure safe consumption.

Clean and maintenance

For safety purpose, please disconnect the cooler from power supply before any cleaning operation.

Clean the cooler with a soft cloth or sponge with warm water or mild detergent. Do wipe off the water droplets with dry cloth to prevent rusting.

Do not spray the cooler with water or clean with a hard brush or steel wire brush.

STOP OPERATION

If the cooler will not be in use for a long period of time, it should be disconnected from the power supply and cleaned according to the above- mentioned. Leave the door open to air dry the inner part before proceeding to seal it for storage.

Please do not use cleaning solutions like an organic solvent, boiled water, washing powder, or acid to clean the cooler.

After-sale service

In the event of product malfunction, please observe the operation of beverage cooler and any changes on stored beverages when the unit is working. In any abnormal event, please check and refer to the following table accordingly.

The cooler is not working

Please check electric circuit

  • Check the condition of safety fuse
  • Whether the plug and socket is well contacted
  • Any malfunction in the input, or control circuit
  • Voltage is too low
  • Check if the temperature display is working

Weak cooling effect

  • The stored food is overfilled or there is hot food
  • Is there any space between the food/beverages
  • Is the cooler placed under direct sunlight or near to any other heat source radiation
  • Has the door been opened too frequent or has the door not fully closed

Noise is too loud

  • Is the cooler on a flat surface
  • Is the unit placed too close with the wall
