Terms and Conditions
Information and instructions on how to participate in the Rheem Apprentice
Plumber Grants 2023 (“the grants”) form part of these Terms and Conditions. If
you enter the Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grants you (“the applicant”) will be
deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions
will be published on www.rheem.com.au/apprentice throughout the duration of
applications being accepted.
The Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grants 2023 will recognise applicants who embody
qualities that make an exceptional plumber. An independent judging panel will
be looking for applicants who are passionate about what they do, how they’ve
overcome adversity to get where they are now and how they contribute to their
local community.
To be eligible to enter the Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grants 2023, you must
meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be an apprentice plumber or gas fitter who is currently in their 1-4 year of their apprenticeship. The applicant must be enrolled in TAFE/RTO or be participating in a school-based apprenticeship and employed by a licensed plumber or gas fitter.
- Shortlisted applicants must supply a valid copy of their student ID to confirm enrolment of TAFE/RTO or apprenticeship.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents.
- Applicants must have a written reference from their employer as part of their entry (100 words or less) to be submitted with their form. Applicants must supply their employer’s contact information, including their organisation’s trading name and plumbing contractor’s license number.
- Applicants who have previously applied for a grant and been unsuccessful are eligible to apply in 2023.
- Applicants who have previously applied for a grant and received a Recognition Award are eligible to apply in 2023.
- Applicants who have previously received a Rheem Apprentice Plumbers Grant are not eligible to apply.
- Applications will open from Monday 30 January 2023 and close at 11:59 pm on Friday 21 April 2023.
The 2023 Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grant recipients will be announced on Tuesday 23 May 2023. The announcement will be published on www.rheem.com.au/apprentice.
To apply for a grant, participants must:
- Complete the online submission form at www.rheem.com.au/apprentice; enter their contact details, complete the application, and provide material to support the application within the valid entry period.
- All awards will be reviewed and assessed by a panel of independent judges, appointed by Rheem.
We may contact shortlisted applicants to request confirmation of their student ID. In the event that a valid copy cannot be supplied, Rheem reserves the right to render the applicant ineligible for a grant. Judges have complete discretion in assessing submissions and determining grant recipients. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into in relation to their decision.
A Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grants representative may contact your TAFE or RTO teacher/assessor, and/or employer, for further information regarding your application. The judges reserve the right not to allocate a grant. Rheem and the judges reserve the right to decline a submission or to disqualify an applicant at their absolute discretion. By applying for a grant, each applicant acknowledges that their submission is true, accurate, complete, and original work, that any intellectual property rights arising in connection with that entry rest with the participant and that the submission does not interfere with any third-party rights. Rheem confirms that all applicant information will be collected in accordance with the Rheem Australia Privacy Policy which can be found at www.rheem.com.au/privacy. By applying for a Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grant and (if applicable) accepting a grant, each applicant is consenting to Rheem Australia’s handling of their personal information in accordance with the Rheem Australia Pty Ltd Privacy Policy. This use includes the use of the applicant’s personal information for direct marketing purposes. Rheem, its employees, agents, and the Rheem Apprentice Plumbers Grants judges do not accept any liability, however arising, including liability for negligence, for any accident, loss, injury or damage arising at any time out of, or in connection with, the grants, except for any liability that cannot, by law, be excluded. Rheem reserves the right to alter any dates associated with the grants; including the dates within which participants can apply and the proposed date for the announcement of the grant recipients. By submitting an application, you agree to be part of any publicity, marketing or advertising activity to promote the grants (including use of your name and image). Should you receive a 2023 Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grant you agree to partake in media interviews via phone, zoom or in person. Rheem reserves the right to place photos and/or videos provided by the applicants on the Rheem Australia website and other Rheem marketing channels and utilise images in media outreach to secure media coverage of the grants and recipients. No time limit will be applied to the use of photos and/or images. Rheem may choose to publish submissions wholly or in part, as case studies and/or for publicity purposes. Permission from participants will be sought prior to publication and commercially sensitive information will be excluded. Rheem reserves the right to alter these Terms and Conditions at any point. Participants in the Rheem Apprentice Plumbers Grants will be notified of any such amendments prior to the closing date.
