IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

• Always unplug this appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after using.
• DO NOT use while bathing or in the shower.
• DO NOT place or store this appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
• DO NOT place or drop into water or other liquid.
• DO NOT reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug it immediately. Do not reach into the water.
• Unplug this appliance before cleaning it.

WARNING – To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock or injury to persons:

• DO NOT use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
• An appliance should never be left unattended when it is plugged in.
• Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on, or near children or individuals with certain disabilities or special needs.
• Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
• NEVER operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or if it has been dropped into water. Return the appliance to a service center for examination and repair.
• Keep the cord away from the heated surfaces. Do not wrap the cord around the appliance.
• NEVER use while sleeping.
• NEVER drop or insert any object into any of the appliance’s openings.
• DO NOT use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used, or where oxygen is being administered.

• This appliance is hot when in use. Do not let eyes or bare skin touch heated surfaces.
• This curling iron and clip are hot when in use. Do not let eyes and bare skin touch heated surfaces.
• DO NOT place the heated curling iron directly on any surface while it is hot or plugged in. Use the heat mat provided.
• Always store this appliance and cord in a moisture-free area. Do not store it in temperatures exceeding 140°F (60°C).
• This appliance is for household use only.
• DO NOT plug or unplug this appliance when your hands are wet.
• Never block the air openings of the appliance or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair and the like.
•  Attachments may be hot during use. Allow them to cool before handling.
• DO NOT operate with a voltage converter.
• DO NOT use this appliance to dry a wig (or brush) made of something that may burn easily.
• Do not use this curling iron to brush a wig that has been cleaned in something that may burn if it may still have some of the cleaner on or in it.

KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONSb
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

SERVICING OF DOUBLE-INSULATED APPLIANCES
In a double-insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided on a double-insulated appliance, nor should a means for grounding be added to the appliance. Servicing a double-insulated appliance requires extreme care and knowledge of the system and should be done only by qualified service personnel. Replacement parts for a double-insulated appliance must be identical to the parts they replace. A double-insulated appliance is marked with the words “DOUBLE INSULATION’ or “DOUBLE INSULATED”. The symbol (square within a square) may also be marked on the appliance.

HOLLYWOOD CURLS  & WAVES AUTOMATIC ROTATING SYSTEM

Create beautiful glossy curls and waves the fast and easy way. Progloss™ HOLLYWOOD WAVE, CURL & ADVANCED SHINE’s rotating curling clip gently wraps the hair around the temperature controlled ceramic barrel for you, producing effortless, even curls and waves every time.

The ionic jet technology generates outstanding shine and frizz-free salon results.

PROGLOSS™ SUPER SMOOTH OILS

Every product in the Revamp® haircare range is infused with Progloss™ super smooth oils enriched with Keratin, Argan oil and Coconut oil for ultimate smoothness and shine.

PREPARING FOR USE

• Before use, ensure hair is clean, dry and tangle-free.
• Plug the appliance into a 120 VAC electrical outlet.
• Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn on the product. Then press the temperature setting button °F to select your chosen temperature indicated with white LED lights. Once the LED light has stopped flashing, the product has reached the selected temperature and is ready to use.

The ionic jet technology is indicated by a blue LED light.

CREATING PERFECT CURLS & WAVES

• Separate each layer of hair into sections of 1.25″ wide. Smooth each section of hair by brushing or combing through the section (from scalp to hair ends) prior to curling.

• For extra protection, apply a heat protection spray.

• NOTE: When curling your own hair, be sure to hold the device with the buttons facing towards you, see (A). Always make sure that the control buttons wit the REVAMP logo located on the front of the product are facing your face.

• Thread the hair through the small recess at the front of the product, then down through the deeper aperture at the back of the product as shown in (C). Hold the appliance around 2-3″ away from your head (A).

• Choose the direction of the curl by pressing the right or left curling button (feature 2) as shown in diagram (D). Work on one side of the head at a time. When you move on to the other side, press the opposite direction curling button so that your curls are symmetrical (D).

• NOTE: Do not place fingers in the deep aperture at the back of the product or try to touch the hot barrel.

• Press and hold the curling button and the hair will automatically wrap around the heated barrel.

• Keep holding the button while the hair is wrapped around the barrel and until you hear the beep.

• The curling system stops and a beep is heard after 10 seconds which is sufficient time to curl normal hair

• After hearing the beep, release the button and wait for the barrel to stop rotating before lowering the appliance from the hair to release your curl.

• CAUTION: When the curling mechanism has stopped, always pull the product downwards to release the curl.

• Repeat for each hair section, allowing each curl time to cool in between.

• After use, switch off the appliance, unplug and allow to cool before storing away.

• NOTE: The product may jam if too much hair is fed around the barrel. In this case, the product will automatically shut off. Simply pull the product down to release the hair and turn back on again to continue using.

NOTE:

• Avoid overuse of styling products as this may deteriorate the coating on the barrel.
• The heated barrel and top end of the appliance get very hot during use. To avoid burns, keep the barrel away from direct contact with the head and only hold the appliance by the handle.
• While heating, during use and cooling, place on the Revamp® heat-resistant mat. Only hold the product by the cool handle.
• DO NOT scratch the surface of the curl barrel as this will deteriorate the effectiveness of the coating.
• The product reaches a high temperature during operation. Style with caution when using. Keep away from the scalp and skin to avoid burns.

AUTO SHUT OFF PROTECTION

This appliance has an automatic shut off feature for added safety. If the appliance is on for more than 30 minutes continuously, it will automatically turn off. If you wish to continue using the appliance after this time, press the power button to turn on. Use the temperature control to select your desired temperature.
CAUTION : This feature should not be considered as a substitute for off. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO TURN THE APPLIANCE OFF AND UNPLUG FROM THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET WHEN NOT IN USE.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

• Turn the appliance off, unplug from the electrical outlet, place on a heat resistant surface and allow to cool fully before cleaning.
• Wipe over all surfaces using a soft damp cloth. Do not use harsh abrasives or cleaners.
• DO NOT immerse the appliance in water or other liquid.
• Ensure all parts are dried thoroughly with a soft towel before reusing.
• To prevent cord damage, do not wrap the cord around the appliance, always store the cord loosely next to the appliance.
• Store in a cool, dry place.

STORAGE

When not in use, unplug the unit. Allow it to cool, and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance, as this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle cord carefully, and avoid jerking, twisting, or straining it, especially at plug connections.
