IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
KEEP AWAY FROM WATER

DANGER – As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts are electrically live even when switch is off. To reduce the risk of death by electric shock:

Always unplug this appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after using.
DO NOT use while bathing or in the shower.
DO NOT place or store this appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
DO NOT place or drop into water or other liquid.
DO NOT reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug it immediately.
Do not reach into the water.
Unplug this appliance before cleaning it.

WARNING – To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock or injury to persons:

DO NOT use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
An appliance should never be left unattended when it is plugged in.
Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on, or near children or individuals with certain disabilities or special needs.
Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
NEVER operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or if it has been dropped into water.
Keep the cord away from the heated surfaces. DO NOT wrap the cord around the appliance.
NEVER use while sleeping.
NEVER drop or insert any object into any of the appliance’s openings.
DO NOT use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used, or where oxygen is being administered.
DO NOT use an extension cord.
If the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it immediately after use. The proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off; for additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your electrician for advice.
This appliance is hot when in use. Do not let eyes and bare skin touch heated surfaces.
DO NOT place the heated appliance directly on any surface while it is hot or plugged in.
DO NOT place the heated unit directly on any surface while it is hot or plugged in.
Always store this appliance and cord in a moisture-free area. Do not store it in temperatures exceeding 140°F (60°C).
This appliance is for household use only.
DO NOT plug or unplug this appliance when your hands are wet.
NEVER block the air openings of the appliance or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair and the like.
DO NOT operate with a voltage converter.
DO NOT use this appliance to brush a wig (or brush) made of something that may burn easily.
DO NOT use this appliance to brush a wig (or brush) that has been cleaned in something that may burn if it may still have some of the cleaner on or in it.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

PERFECT ENDINGS

The Volume & Waves Heated Ceramic Brush includes the unique Perfect Endings feature.
As you run the brush through your hair, slide the Perfect Endings switch to make the bristles retract. This allows you to remove the brush easily without pulling your hair, keeping your style intact.

PROGLOSS™ SUPER SMOOTH OILS

Every product in the Revamp® haircare line is infused with PROGLOSS™ SUPER SMOOTH OILS — enriched with Keratin, Argan oil and Coconut oil for ultimate smoothness and shine.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before use, ensure the hair is clean, dry, and tangle-free.
For extra protection, apply a heat protectant.
Clip up your hair ready for styling.
Plug the product into a 120 VAC outlet.
Press the power button to turn on the brush.
The brush has 5 heat settings. If you have fine, delicate, or colored hair, use the lower heat settings. If you have thick or coarse hair, use the higher heat settings. REVAMP recommends starting on the lowest setting and increasing the temperature until the desired result is achieved.
The default temperature is 300°F. Use the temperature control and buttons to select your desired temperature:

The temperature indicator LED will flash until the temperature selected has been reached. Once the temperature has been reached, the LED will remain static.
Wrap the hair around the brush, starting with the hair at the root near the handle and then wrapping the hair towards the brush tip.
Allow approximately 10 seconds for the curl to form.
Release the hair by sliding the Perfect Endings switch. This retracts the bristles and allows you to remove the brush smoothly and effortlessly from your hair.
After using the brush, switch off by holding the power button for 2 seconds, unplug, place on a heat resistant surface, and allow to cool before storing away.

NOTE:

Regular use of styling products may deteriorate the ceramic brush.
While heating, during use and cooling, place on a heat-resistant surface. Only hold unit by the handle.
DO NOT scratch the surface of the product as this will deteriorate the effectiveness of the coating.
The product reaches a very high temperature during operation. Please use caution while styling. To avoid burns, keep away from the scalp and skin.

AUTO-SHUT OFF PROTECTION

For added safety, this appliance is equipped with an auto-shut off feature. If the appliance is on for more than 60 minutes, it will automatically turn off. If you wish to continue using the appliance after this time, press the power button to turn on. Use the temperature control to select your desired temperature.

CAUTION: This feature should not be considered as a substitute for off. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO TURN THE APPLIANCE OFF AND UNPLUG FROM THE MAINS WHEN NOT IN USE.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

Turn the appliance off, unplug from the electrical outlet, place on a heat resistant surface, and allow to cool before cleaning.
Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh abrasives or cleaners.
DO NOT immerse the appliance in water or other liquid.
Ensure all parts are dried thoroughly with a soft towel before reusing.
To prevent cord damage, do not wrap the cord around the appliance. Always store the cord loosely next to the appliance.
Store in a cool, dry place.

STORAGE

When not in use, unplug the unit. Allow it to cool, and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance, as this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle cord carefully, and avoid jerking, twisting, or straining it, especially at plug connections.

2-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

FKA Brands sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of original purchase, except as noted below. FKA Brands warrants that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers.

To obtain warranty service on your FKA Brands product, contact a Consumer Relations representative for assistance. Please make sure to have the model number of the product available.

FKA Brands does not authorize anyone, including but not limited to retailers, the
subsequent consumer purchaser of the product from a Retailer, or remote purchasers, to obligate FKA Brands in any way beyond the terms set forth herein.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of FKA Brands.
