NB: Wi-Fi/RF interface is not required/included for use with existing on/off or dimmer switches

Safety first

  • If fitting via your on/off or dimmer switches, or you need to access the 240V mains supply, contact a qualified electrician.
  • Always test the LED strip BEFORE installing.
  • NEVER connect the LED strip directly to a 240V mains or wall socket.
  • This equipment is for indoor use only. It should not be used in bathrooms or other wet areas.
  • Cutting incorrectly, twisting, treading on, or pressing the LED strip too hard when installing may impede its performance or prevent it from working at all.
  • For long-term reliability and safety, make sure components are mounted in a well-ventilated position.
  • Ensure the adhesive-backed LED strip is stuck to a grease-free, clean and dry surface to ensure effective adhesion.

Cutting to length
Cut in a straight line across centre of cutting points on copper contacts LEDSpace-Maxilux-Wi-Fi-RF-Interface-LED-Strip-fig-4

Making connections

  • slide the LED strip into the slotted end of the solder-free connector
  • insert wires into holes (no need to strip wire. Keep some cable for step 4)
  • crimp/pinch metal pins into wires and LED strip

Wiring to the interface

  • strip ends of cable
  • insert wires into terminals
  • retighten screws and give each wire a slight tug to check the secure connection

Wiring the power supply to the interface

  • repeat steps above to wire up input end of interface (marked + and –)

Wiring the power supply to the mains power lead

  • strip mains cable wires
  • unscrew terminal screws at 220–240V input end
  • insert wires: brown to live terminal and blue to neutral
  • retighten screws and check for secure connection

Controlling your LED strip lighting

Control with a remote control, multi-zone wall switch, smartphone or smart speaker. Scan QR code to download the app.
