Important Safety Instructions
Terminals marked with this symbol carry electrical current of sufficient
magnitude to constitute risk of electric shock. Use only high-quality
professional speaker cables with ¼” TS or twist-locking plugs pre-installed.
All other installation or modification should be performed only by qualified
personnel.
This symbol, wherever it appears, alerts you to the presence of uninsulated
dangerous voltage inside the enclosure – voltage that may be sufficient to
constitute a risk of shock.

- Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other (only for USA and Canada). A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
- Protect the power cord from damage, particularly at plugs and appliance socket.
- Use only attachments and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
- Use only specified carts, stands, tripods, brackets, or tables. Use caution to prevent tip-over when moving the cart/apparatus combination.
- Unplug during storms, or if not in use for a long period.
- Only use qualified personnel for servicing, especially after damage.
- The apparatus with protective earthing terminal shall be connected to a MAINS socket outlet with a protective earthing connection.
- Where the MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
- Avoid installing in confined spaces like bookcases.
- Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, on the apparatus.
- Operating temperature range 5° to 45°C (41° to 113°F).

Controls and Connectors
- Radar loudness meter showing short-term loudness history, momentary loudness and program loudness.
- Detailed statistics overview for all key loudness measuring parameters.
- State-of-the-art true peak meter identifies clipping in DACs, CODECs and downstream filters.
- Downmix compliance meters based on TC Electronic’s industry-standard loudness measurement algorithms.
- Left-Right or Left-Right/ LS-RS Correlation Meter. This displays the phase relationship of a stereo signal, where the far right (+1) position indicates perfect phase, the center (0) position shows the widest acceptable divergence, and measurements below 0 indicate out-of-phase material.
- Adjustment knob allows various parameters to be controlled.
- These selection buttons access the corresponding functions listed in the LCD display. Holding the far right button turns the unit on and off.
- The current source is displayed on the front page. In plug-in mode, the track name and number where the plug-in is inserted will be indicated here.
- High-accuracy real time analyzer with 1/3 octave resolution and pr. band zoom.

Getting started
Mount the included stand

Remove the 2 hex screws that hold the stand flat against the back of the unit. The screws are designed to be operated with a 2.5 mm hex key, but you can also use a T10 Torx driver or a 3/32 SAE hex key if care is taken not to strip the screw.
• Flip the stand around so that it sticks outward from the unit. The stand has rubber pads to prevent it from scratching the surface where it is placed.
• Replace the screws into the same holes to secure the stand. -
Connect the unit to AC power.

Use a standard TOS cable (not included) to connect an external digital audio device.

Use the SUB-D-15 cable (included) to connect an external digital audio device.

Hold the far right button to switch the unit on.

Plug-in Metering

Download the Clarity M plug-in installer from https://tcelectronic.com/downloads

Follow the installation instructions.

Connect the unit to your computer via USB.

In your DAW software, insert the Clarity M plug-in at the place you wish to monitor. This can be a normal track, a bus, an aux-bus or a master output.

In Clarity M, go to the System (SYS) menu and set USB Mode to “Plug-in”.

In the unit, use the System menu > Inputs to select the appropriate input.

Use System > Preset Folder to set your region for appropriate loudness standards.

Use Library (Lib) to select an appropriate preset and press EXIT.

Use the RTA/RADAR/VSCOPE switch to toggle between Radar, RTA and Vector Scope.
