Use
Initial Use

and all other accompanying documents carefully before using the appliance and
keep it as a reference for future use. If you handover the appliance to
someone else, give the user manual as well. Follow the instructions by paying
attention to all the information and warnings in the user manual.

General safety
- This appliance complies with the international safety standards.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors and in the bathroom.
- No responsibility or warranty claim shall be assumed for damages arising from misuse or improper handling of the appliance.
- Never attempt to dismantle or separate the mounted parts of the appliance.
- Only use the original parts or parts recommended by the manufacturer.
- Always use the appliance on a stable, flat, clean, dry and non-slip surface.
- Do not start to cook coffee without putting water into the cooking pot.
- Do not put any substances apart from coffee, sugar and into the cooking pot.
- Coffee Machine is designed to operate at 4-37°C 80% relative humidity.
- Do not drink the Greek cooked coffee using the cooking pot.
- Due to the manufacturing technology, steam and odour may arise in the heating element of the appliance during initial use. This is normal. They will disappear after a few cycles.
- Do not move the appliance when it is still hot or when there is liquid inside the cooking pot.
- Avoid contacting the hot surfaces. Hold the cooking pot only by its handle; otherwise there is the risk of burning. Cooking pot gets hot during cooking.
- The base (heating surface) on which the cooking pot is placed gets hot during operation. Therefore, do not touch this area while using and until the appliance gets cold.
- Ensure that the appliance is switched off before moving it.
- For additional protection, this appliance should be connected to a household residual current circuit breaker of a maximum 30 mA.
- Connect the appliance to a grounded outlet protected by a 16 ampere fuse.
- Do not use it if the power cable or the appliance itself is damaged.
- Do not use the appliance with an extension cord.
- Dry the seat of cooking pot before plugging in the appliance and seating the parts.
- Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or power plug in water or any other liquids.
- Do not touch the appliance or its plug with damp or wet hands.
- Position the appliance in such a way that the plug is always accessible.
- Prevent damage to the power cable by not squeezing, bending, or rubbing it on sharp edges. Keep the power cable away from hot surfaces and naked flame.
- Make sure that there is no danger that the power cord could be accidentally pulled or that someone could trip over it when the appliance is in use.
- Unplug the appliance if any failure occurs.
- Unplug the appliance before cleaning it and never clean it when it is in use.

Package information

Plug Wiring
The moulded plug on this appliance incorporates a 13 A fuse. Should the fuse
need to be replaced an ASTA approved BS1362 fuse of the same rating must be
used. Do not forget to refit the fuse cover. In the event of losing the fuse
cover, the plug must not to be used until a replacement fuse cover has been
fitted. Colour of the replacement fuse cover must be the same color as that
visible on the pin face of the plug Fuse covers are available from any good
electrical store.
- Fitting a different plug
- As the colors of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colored markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
- Brown cable = L (Live)
- Blue cable = N (Neutral)
- Green/yellow cable must be connected to ground (E) line
- With the alternative plugs a 13 A fuse must be fitted either in the plug or adaptor or in the main fuse box. If in doubt contact a qualified electrician.

Use
Initial use
Read the whole user manual before using the product.
- Make sure that the appliance stands upright on a balanced, flat, clean, dry and non-skid surface.
- Plug in the appliance.
- The appliance will switch on automatically.
- Remove the water tank lid (1).
- Fill the water pot with water up to the max. level. Depending on how you like it, you can also fill the water by displacing the water tank completely as well.
- Repeat the same process after the appliance gives out a water depleted alarm.
- Fit the cooking pot in its place so that the pump and the water system are filled with water. Press the coffee-making button for 1 serving. Once the water pumping process is complete, press and hold the same button for 3 seconds to end the process, and drain the water in the cooking pot.
This way, proper operation of the pump in the appliance is enabled.
WARNING : Repeat this process also after you remove/place the water tank
from/into its place and before brewing coffee.
Adjusting the water amount according to the size cup

Place the cooking pot (11) onto its seat (7).
-
Press the coffee-making button for 1 serving (3).
-
Once the water pumping process is complete, press and hold the same button for 3 seconds to end the process and pour the water in the cooking pot into your cup.
-
If the water you have poured into your cup is too little or too much, adjust the water amount as follows.
-
To change the water amount, take out the cooking pot from its seat. Press and hold the coffee-making button for two servings (4) for 3 seconds to enter the water adjustment mode.
The status light, which comes on when you enter the water adjustment mode, will show the water level to which the product is set. -
Once you have entered the water adjustment mode, press the button that is appropriate for your cup within 3 seconds.
The status light of the button pressed will light in blue for 1 second and the water level will change.
- Button for 1 serving: Small cup. 55 ml on average.
- Button for 2 servings: Medium-sized cup. 65 ml on average.
- Button for 3 servings: Large cup. 75 ml on average.
WARNING : When you are in the water adjustment mode, if you do not press
the button that is appropriate for your cup within 3 seconds, the product will
exit the water adjustment mode and remain in the old setting.
Repeat the water amount adjusting process when you prefer to change the cup
size.
Coffee making
WARNING: To obtain a tasty coffee, make sure that the inside of the cooking
pot (11) is dry and clean.
WARNING: Make sure that there is enough water in the water tank (2) .

Put coffee and sugar for one, two or three person(s) into the cooking pot (11).
WARNING: Make sure that there are no water drops underneath the cooking pot (11) when preparing the coffee. Otherwise, an annoying noise will arise when the water drops get into contact with the hot base. -
Place the cooking pot (11) into its seat.
WARNING: Fully insert the pot back into its seat (7) and in an upright position. Otherwise, your product will not operate. -
Press the start button for 1, 2 or 3 serving(s) according to the coffee amount to start the coffee-making process.
- You will hear a beep, indicating that the process has started, and the status light (3, 4, 5) will light in red.
- Cooking time is 1-1.5 min. for 1 person. , 1.5-2.5 min. for 2 persons and 2-3.5 min. for 3 persons.
- Cooking time will decrease in repetitive cooking as the heating surface (9) will already be hot.
- For a tasty coffee, take the cooking pot (11) from the cooking pot seat (7) without waiting! Waiting for long time may cause the foam to collapse and the grout to settle down.
- Pour coffee swiftly in order to prevent foam and grounds from remaining in the cooking pot (11).
- Keep the start coo-king button (3, 4, 5) pressed for 3 sec. to cancel cooking coffee for any reason.

When the coffee is ready, the appliance will give an audio warning and status light (3, 4, 5) will start to flash in red. Once the status light has turned white, pour your coffee into the cup and serve it.

Following quantities are for single serving. You can prepare coffee for max 3
persons.
WARNING: Pay attention not to stain the heating surface (9). If you drip
coffee onto the heating surface, wipe it with a lightly dampened cloth before
it gets dry.
WARNING: Do not use the cooking pot on any cooking appliance other than the
Coffee Machine! (Cooker etc.)
Amounts
- This is an easy-to-use appliance designed to make coffee. You can prepare foamy coffee that suits to your tastes by using the amounts in the table. The following quantities are provided only for information purposes. You can adjust them as per your personal tastes.
- Use the coffee measure (10) supplied with the Coffee Machine to put coffee. Use fresh coffee for a tasty and foamy coffee.
Sleep mode
2. If no operation is performed on the device for 3 minutes, it will give
an audio warning (beep) and switch to standby mode. When an operation is
performed (coo-king pot is placed/removed onto/from its seat or the start
button is pressed) 2 audio warnings (be-eps) is given. Status light turns into
white and the appliance becomes ready to operate.

(Do not take the pot from its seat)
- Take out the pot from its seat.
- Take out the coffee-making (cooking) pot from its seat. Use a damp cloth to clean the base of the cooking (coffee-making) pot, heating surface (make sure that the heating surface is cold) and the sensor glass.
- When the light turns steady white, you can start another coffee-making process. Contact service if the error occurs again.
- Switch off and on the appliance. Contact service if the error occurs again.
- Fill the water pot with water up to the max. level.
Cleaning
- WARNING: Do not move the product while the cooking (coffee-making) pot (11) is within the product. The coffee-making pot might get damaged.
- WARNING: Never use gasoline, sol-vent, abrasive cleaning agents, metal objects or hard brushes to clean the appliance.
- WARNING: Never immerse the appliance or its power cable (8) in water or in any other liquid.

Unplug the appliance before starting any cleaning procedure.
-
Wait for the appliance to cool down.
-
Remove the cooking pot (11) from its seat (7).
-
Clean the cooking pot (11) under running water.
-
Completely remove the water pot out of its seat and clean it under running water.
-
Take out and hand-wash the water tank (2) at least every three months.
-
Do not clean the heating surface (9) and cooking pot with an abrasive sponge or steel wool. Wash it with a soft sponge. Pat particular attention not to scratch these surfaces.

WARNING: Never use the cooking (coffee-making) pot (11) or the water tank (2) in dishwasher.
WARNING: Do not wash any part of the product in the dishwasher.
Cleaning and care -
WARNING: Since the appliance will be hot during brewing, please wait until is cooled if you would like to clean it after-wards.

Use a damp and soft cloth and a little amount of soft cleanser in order to clean the exterior of the appliance.
Do not neglect to wipe the cooking level detection sensor (6) with a damp cloth at every 15-20 cooking operations. -
Place the cooking pot (11) onto its seat.
Descaling
To clean the stains (deposits) that might be observed in the coffee-making
(cooking) pot in time without harming the inner base surface, pour one dessert
spoon of citric acid crystals to the coffee-making pot and pour boiling water
on it, so that water fills 1/3 of the pot. Wait for 10 minutes. At the end of
the waiting process, you can rinse the cooking pot (11) and use it again.
Storage
- If you do not intend to use the appliance for a long time, store it carefully.
- Please make sure that the appliance is unplugged, cooled and totally dry.
- Store the appliance in a cool and dry place.
- Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
Cleaning and care
Handling and transportation
- During handling and transportation, carry the appliance in its original packaging. The packaging of the appliance protects it against physical damage.
- Do not place heavy loads on the appliance or on the packaging. The appliance may get damaged.
- Dropping the appliance may ren-der it non-operational or cause permanent damage.
- Make sure that the water tank (2) is empty and totally dry.
