Safety Instructions

• Ensure the lamp is fully charged before initial use.
• DO NOT turn the lamp on when it is being charged.
• Avoid shining the light directly into your eyes.
• Keep away from children.
• Avoid handling or moving the lamp while charging.
• Do not use it if the battery or lamp casing is damaged.
• Do not leave the battery in a discharged state; recharge immediately.
• Do not attempt to open, disassemble, modify, or service the battery pack.
• Replace only with the designated battery pack.
• Recycle or dispose of used batteries as per local regulations.
• If electrolyte gets on the skin or eyes, wash them with water and seek medical attention if necessary.

Operation

1. Remove the USB cover to reveal the USB charging point.
2. Insert the cable into the USB charging point.
3. Plug in the cable to an appropriate power source.
4. Charging will take approximately 6 hours.

• Q: How do I know when the lamp is fully charged?
  A: The lamp is fully charged when the charging indicator light turns green.

GENERAL

• Ensure the lamp is fully charged before initial use.
• DO NOT turn the lamp on when it is being charged.
• DO NOT shine directly into your, another person’s or an animal’s eyes.
• DO NOT allow children to use the lamp.
• DO NOT handle or move the lamp whilst it is being charged.
• DO NOT use the lamp if you suspect that the battery or the lamp casing is damaged.
• DO NOT leave a battery in a discharged state, recharge the battery immediately. Before storage, fully recharge the battery, and subsequently recharge the battery at least once every six months of non-use.
• WARNING! To reduce the risk of burns or fire:
• DO NOT attempt to open, disassemble, modify or service the battery pack.
• DO NOT crush, puncture, short external contacts or dispose of in fire or water.
• DO NOT expose to temperatures above 60°C (140°F).
• Replace only with the battery pack designated for this product.
• Recycle or dispose of used batteries as stipulated by local regulations.
• If the electrolyte in the cells gets on your skin, thoroughly wash with soap and water. If it gets in your eyes, rinse thoroughly with cool water and seek immediate medical attention.

INTRODUCTION

Hands-free head torch with adjustable 5W SMD LED spotlight to direct light as required. The automatic sensor turns on and off when you move your hand in front. Two power options of full and a 30% energy saving mode. Powered by rechargeable 3.7V 2Ah lithium-ion battery. Supplied with micro USB charging lead.

OPERATION

• Remove the USB cover to reveal the USB charging point. Insert cable (fig.1).
• Plug in the cable to an appropriate power source. Charging will take approximately 6hr.
• When charged remove the USB cable and replace the USB cover.
• To switch on press on/mode change/off button (100%), press again to change mode (30%), and press again to switch off.
• To activate by hand movement, hold down (approx 3 sec.) on/mode change/off button until the button turns red. Light can now be operated by passing a hand in front of the sensor. Press the button again to switch off.

MAINTENANCE

• Keep the torch clean by wiping with a damp cloth.
• Remove batteries if not being used for a long time.
• Store torch and batteries in a dry childproof area.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling center, and disposed of in a manner that is compatible with the environment. When the product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and fluids according to local regulations.

WEEE REGULATIONS
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). When the product is no longer required, it must be disposed of in an environmentally protective way. Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling information.

BATTERY REMOVAL
Under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009, Jack Sealey Ltd are required to inform potential purchasers of products containing batteries (as defined within these regulations), that they are registered with Valpak’s registered compliance scheme. Jack Sealey Ltd’s Batteries Producer Registration Number (BPRN) is BPRN00705.
