GET TO KNOW YOUR FLAT IRON

CERAMIC TECHNOLOGY glides easily
for smooth, frizz-free hair. The even heat distribution maintains the optimal temperature for perfect results. FLOATING PLATE is designed with a little give to “float” in the iron for better hair contact. This eliminates gaps to achieve faster, straighter results. IONIC TECHNOLOGY Powerful ion generator neutralizes frizz for smooth, high-shine styles. The unit may produce a clicking sound at times when releasing ions — this is normal for a high-output ion generator. ADVANCED PLASMA TECHNOLOGY uses positive and negative conditioning ions to create the perfect balance for your hair, reducing frizz and maintaining body. The SmoothWrap® maximizes the absorption of the conditioning ions to leave your hair feeling moisturized and conditioned.

HEAT FOR EVERY HAIR TYPE
5 temperature settings and Instant Heat Technology provide styling versatility for all hair types. Use a lower temperature for fine hair and a higher temperature for thick, wavy, or textured hair.

GETTING STARTED

Plug the iron cord into any household outlet (120V). Press and hold the button for approximately 1 to 2 seconds to turn the appliance on. The unit will heat up very quickly. Use the +/- button to select the desired temperature. The blue LED indicator light by the ion outlet will illuminate when activated. To turn unit off, press and hold the button again until light goes off.
IMPORTANT! Immediately after turning the appliance on, you are able to adjust the temperature. After 5 seconds, the control buttons will automatically lock. To adjust the setting, hold down the +/- heat-control button for 1-2 seconds. This will deactivate the lock mode and allow the setting to be changed. To turn off the appliance while in lock mode, hold down the button until the appliance switches off.
WARNING: The iron’s plates will get very hot within a few seconds and should not be placed in contact with the skin after the iron has been turned on.
NOTE: Never leave your iron on and unattended. However, should you fail to turn the iron off, it will shut itself off automatically within 60 minutes.

STYLING TIPS
Hair should be clean and completely dry before using the flat iron. For best results, use a light styling product before blow-drying hair.

STRAIGHTEN
Start with a hair section that is 1½ inches wide and no more than ½ inch thick. Place section of hair in between the plates, close to the scalp, and squeeze plates together. Slowly pull the unit down toward the ends, maintaining tension. At the ends, release the pressure and allow the hair to slide out. Repeat the process on additional hair sections. You may need to repeat the process on certain areas, depending on the texture of your hair.

ADD FLIPS
To add flips, secure ends between the plates and turn your wrist up or under.

CREATE WAVES
To add waves, gently place a small section of hair between the plates. Twist the iron at a 180° angle. Pull the iron down the length of your hair.

Your appliance is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the unit from the power source, allow to cool, and wipe exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and return it for repair to an authorized service center only. No repairs should be attempted by the consumer.

CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance. Damage will occur at the high flex point of entry into the appliance, causing it to rupture and short circuit. Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop use immediately if damage is visible or if unit stops or operates intermittently.

IF YOU THINK THE POWER IS OFF WHEN THE SWITCH IS OFF, YOU’RE WRONG.

KEEP AWAY FROM WATER

Everyone knows that electricity and water are a dangerous combination. But did you know that an electric appliance is still electrically live even if the switch is off? If the plug is in, the power is on. So when you are not using your appliances, keep them unplugged.
