Product Usage Instructions

Main Board:
The main board features various interfaces including USB ports, camera interfaces, HDMI out, PCIe expansion module connector, SD card slot, and more.

Interposer Board:
The interposer board includes keys for volume control, power on, and force USB boot, camera module connector, DIP switches for board function control, FM antenna connector, and more.

Audio Board:
The audio board is equipped with speaker connectors, a DMIC connection selection switch, an audio board configuration switch, an ear-out connector, a line-out connector, and more.

Sensor Board:
The sensor board features an NFC antenna connector, and various sensors including an ALS+ Proximity sensor, Magnetic sensor, ACC+GYRO sensor, Pressure sensor, SAR sensor, and battery connector.

  • Q: What is included in the standard DK package?
    A: The standard DK package includes the Interposer Board, Main IO Board, Audio Board, Sensor Board, Wi-Fi/BT Antenna, GPS Antenna, Cellular Antenna (x 2), Camera Module, and Power Adapter. Note that the LCD Touch Panel is not included in the standard DK package.

  • Q: Which interfaces are available on the CM4290 only?
    A: The Wi-Fi/BT Antenna, GPS Antenna, and Cellular Antenna interfaces are available on CM4290 only.

Let’s Get Started

Follow the steps below to boot up your device.

  1. Remove the interposer board, sensor board, and main IO board carefully from the package.
  2. Connect the interposer board to the main IO board.
  3. Connect the sensor board to the main IO board.
  4. Connect the power adapter to the board assembly via 12V DC in jack (connector 1 on Main Board).
  5. Connect the board assembly to a computer via
    • USB Type-C port (connector 4 on Main Board) if adb tool, supported by Android operating system, is needed.
    • UART debug port (connector 2 on Main Board) if debug function is needed.
  6. Long press the Power on button (connector 25 on the Main Board) to boot up the device.
