CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• To maintain the appearance of this product, it is recommend the sink be cleaned using a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaning product. A simple solution of warm water and a mild liquid non-antibacterial detergent generally does an excellent job. Ensure that the product is rinsed thoroughly and wiped dry. Never use any form of abrasive cleaner or applicator as they often contain sand or silica and will eventually scratch the surface.
• Gloss and matte finishes on the sink are susceptible to damage from sharp and metallic objects. Markings that appear to be scratches are typically residue left by metal cutlery or pots and pans. Try to avoid metal objects coming into contact with the surface. It is recommended to use a utility grid to reduce the appearance of markings.
• Fireclay sinks are extremely resistant to chips, but if any small chips are found, there are repair kits available at most local hardware stores.
• Do rinse thoroughly after each use. Do towel dry after each use to prevent mineral deposits from building up on the surface of the sink.Do clean the sink once a week. Do wax the sink once a month. Do Not allow soap or other household cleansers to dry on the surface of the sink. Do Not use abrasive cleaners to clean your sink.

FIVE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

The manufacturer warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for five years from date of purchase. Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) from the original purchaser must be made available to the manufacturer for all warranty claims. This warranty is non-transferable. It does not apply in the event of installation error, abuse, misuse or improper care and maintenance (whether by a contractor, service company or member of the purchaser’s household). This warranty excludes incidental/inconsequential camages and failures due to misuse, abuse or normal wear and tear. This warranty excludes all industrial, commercial and business usage, whose purchasers are hereby, extended a five year limited warranty from the date of purchase, with all other terms of this warranty applying except the duration of warranty

COUNTER-TOP PREPARATION

• Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product.
• No cutout template is provided due to the custom nature of each installation, and due to small dimensional variations in the handcrafting process of the fireclay sinks. The actual sink should be used as a template guide for each installation.
• The counter-top cutout can be customized based on your design preference. 1/8″ – 1/4° is recommend positive reveal on the two sides and back. You can also decide to go with a zero reveal (flush with the edge of the counter-top cutout) or 1/4” negative reveal (counter-top overhangs on top of the sink.
•  Any solid counter-top such as granite, marble, quartz, cultured stone, or butcher block can be used with a fireclay sink. Laminate counter-tops are not recommended. Counter-top preparation and cutout should only be done by a professional installer or  fabricator.
• Once counter-top cutout is complete, clean the bottom of the counter-top and rim of the sink with denatured alcohol. Apply a bead of silicone around the top edge of the sink on 2 sides and back. Place counter-top onto the sink. Remove and clean off excess silicone before it dries out.

1/4” Positive Reveal
The counter-top edge sits approximately 1/4” back from the edge of the sink and exposes the rim of the sink.
Zero Reveal (Flush Fit)
The counter-top meets the edge of the sink, fitting flush with the sink bowl
1/4” Overhang
The counter-top extends 1/4” over the edge of the sink on all sides.
Estimated Assembly Time: 45 minutes
TOOLS REQUIRED (NOT INCLUDED)
Painter’s tape, level, framing square/shims or cabinet fillers clamps, construction adhesive sealant, support framing material (1% inch (32mm) max thick- ness), and screws (recommended by counter-top manufacturer).

SAFETY INFORMATION

• Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the product. Please keep in mind that fireclay sinks are handcrafted and have a +/- 2% variance on the dimensions.
• The installer and/or user must read, understand, and follow these instructions before installing the product. This product must be property installed before it is used. If instructions are not followed, the manufacturer will not be held responsible for any problems or product malfunction. Failure to follow installation and/ or operating instructions voids the warranty.
• We recommend that this product be installed by a certified plumber. In some states or provinces, itis a legal requirement for this type of product to be installed by a certified plumber, according to the plumbing and building codes effective in the region where the sink is used.
• DO NOT attempt to install this sink yourself. Injury could result from installing the unit due to lack of appropriate plumbing and technical background. Due to the size and weight of this sink, a two person installation is recommended.
• It is recommended that the cabinet maker waits until the sink is delivered to construct the cabinets.
• Shut off the water valves and disconnect the power to the dishwasher and garbage disposal before installing the sink or doing any maintenance.

PACKAGE CONTENTS

INSTALLATION POSITIONS

UNDERMOUNT installation is recommended for this fireclay sink, but it can also be installed FLUSHMOUNT or RAISED, depending on customer design preference.

INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

1. BASE CABINET PREPARATION
   Measure the size of the sink, including the front apron. Cut the face of the cabinet to allow the sink to slide in. Use painter’s tape for marking and cutting purpose to protect the cabinet and sink from damage.
   CAUTION
   Due to the dimensional variation from the fireclay manufacturing process, this model does not offer the cutout template for fireclay sinks. It is essential that prior to installation, you discuss with your installer and agree on the final appearance. Cabinet should NOT be cut or fabricated without the sink.

2. COUNTER-TOP PREPARATION
   Measure the size of the sink, including the front apron. Cut the counter top to allow the sink to slide in.

3. CABINET/SUPPORT FRAME CONSTRUCTION
   This step is to ensure that the bottom of the sink has enough support. Construct a wood support frame to fit inside the cabinet opening. Allow adequate clearance for the water supply lines and drainage system. The recommended support frame design is shown in the illustration on the left, which consists of four vertical supporting strips, two horizontal supporting strips and one supporting board. Due to the variety of installations possible with this sink, your installer may suggest a different support frame design. CAUTION
   Base cabinet and wood support frame are essential for proper installation. The weight of the sink when full is approximately 300 Ibs. Base cabinet and support frame must sufficiently support this weight.

4. Using two people, carefully place the sink in place. Verify that the sink can fit in the cabinet opening and rest properly on the supporting system. Make a small adjustment to fit as necessary. Verify the overall appearance and check for levelness to ensure correct drainage. CAUTION :
   Risk of personal injury or product damage. Handle with care. The product can break, chip, cause injury or product damage.

5. COUNTER-TOP INSTALLATION
   After cleaning, apply a bead of silicone sealant between the top flange (or lip) of the sink and the counter-top to create a watertight seal. Clean excess silicone immediately. Verify the overall appearance and check for levelness to ensure correct drainage. Carefully place the counter-top and verify that it is level. CAUTION:
   Due to the dimensional variation from the fireclay manufacturing process, this model does not offer the cutout template for fireclay sinks. It is essential that prior to installation, you discuss with your installer and agree on the final appearance. Cabinet should NOT be cut or fabricated without the sink. Apron front sinks should only be fastened to a solid surface counter-top (i.e., granite, Corian® or Sikestone*).

6. INSTALL DRAIN
   Connect water supply and drainage system per manufacturer’s instructions.
