What’s In The Box
Installation Instructions
The MadStad kickstand shoe is designed to fit snugly to the bottom of your side stand. You will need a 4mm Allen wrench and possibly a helper, or two quarters to tilt the shoe up slightly. Tilting the bike should only be done while sitting on it securely.
- Step 1: Set the shoe on the ground and put the kickstand base into the back pocket as shown on the right. The base needs to sit evenly down in the pocket. If it is sticking up out of any of the edges then the top plate won’t lay on top evenly and will be hard to attach. One way to adjust the shoe’s angle is to put one or two quarters under the outer edge as seen here, then set the kickstand base in and see if it is now roughly level. Alternatively, you can have a helper hold the bike in a vertical position so that you can have both hands free to hold the shoe and plate together evenly.
- Step 2: Set the top plate onto the shoe and check that they are flat together. If they are not flat together then you may not be able to get one or more of the short mounting screws in. Adjust and align as necessary.
- Step 3: Put the three screws in and tighten each down snugly.
