FIRE HAZARD DUE TO SHORT CIRCUIT.

PRODUCT FEATURES

DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE

The Veripart VPVKP4ZF1/VPVKP4ZF2 is an induction hob suitable for preparing food. Each cooking zone can be operated individually and has 10 settings. All cooking zones have a booster function to allow pans to heat up more quickly. The timer function allows you to set exactly how long a pan should be heated. The timer function can also be used as an egg timer. Thanks to the pan detection function, the appliance automatically switches to stand-by mode when a pan is removed from a cooking zone. With the child lock function, the buttons on the control panel are locked to prevent accidentally pressing the buttons.
The VPVKP4ZF1 contains a 1-phase Schuko plug.
The VPVKP4ZF2 contains a 2-phase Schuko plug (not supplied).

INSTALLATION

Before installing the appliance, carefully review the safety information in Section 1.

REQUIREMENTS ON THE LOCATION OF INSTALLATION

Place the appliance at a location that satisfies the following conditions:

  • A flat, stable, heat-resistant and moisture-resistant surface.
  • At least 65 free space on the sides of the appliance to a cabinet or wall.
  • At least 65 cm of free space at the top of the appliance.
  • Not in direct sunlight.
  • Well ventilated.
  • Not directly next to heat sources, such as heaters or stoves.
  • Not above machines that emit moisture, such as refrigerators and washing machines.
  • If the appliance is installed above an oven, the oven must be fitted with a built-in cooling fan.
  • An earthed socket within 130 cm.
  • Direct access to the earthed socket at all times.
  • The earthed socket is connected to one or more separate power groups with sufficient power for the appliance and a properly accessible isolation switch. Are one or more of the above connections missing? If so, call on a qualified technician to install the required connections before installing the appliance.

INSTALLING THE APPLIANCE

  1. Check that the size meets the minimum dimensions. A. > 65 cm

  3. Put the unit on a flat, stable, heat-resistant and moisture-resistant surface.
  4. Remove the protective film from the glass plate.

ADJUSTING THE POWER LIMITATION

WARNING!

ELECTROCUTION HAZARD DUE TO SHORT CIRCUIT. Never adjust the power limitation yourself. The power limitation may only be carried out by an authorised service technician.
The power limitation of the appliance is set from the factory as standard at 3500 W. The power limitation of the appliance can be adjusted to 2800 W, 3500 W or 7000 W.

  1. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn the appliance on.
    The display shows -. The appliance emits an audible signal.

  2. Press and hold a cooking zone control button and the timer button simultaneously.
    The display shows S.

  3. Press the timer button.
    The display shows SE.

  4. Press and hold a cooking zone control button and the timer button simultaneously. The display alternately displays SE or the set power limitation 28, 35 or 70.

  5. Press a cooking zone control button to choose a power limitation. Choose from 28 (2,800 W), 35 (3,500 W) or 70 (7000 W).

  6. Press the timer button to confirm the power limitation.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT COOKWARE

Choose a pan suitable for induction. Pans suitable for induction are marked with the following symbol: .
The following types of pans are not suitable for induction:

  • Pans made of aluminium, ceramic, copper, glass or Pyrex.
  • Hollow-bottomed pans.
  • Pans smaller than 10 cm in diameter.
  • Pans greater than 22 cm in diameter

TURNING ON THE APPLIANCE

  1. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn the appliance on.
    The display shows -. The appliance emits an audible signal.

  2. Place a pan on the cooking zone. Make sure the cooking zone and the bottom of the pan are clean and dry.
    After one minute of inactivity, the appliance automatically goes into standby mode. The LED on/off button goes off. The display goes off.

ADJUSTING THE POWER SETTING

  1. Press the control button of a cooking zone of your choice.
  2. Swipe the power setting control to set the power setting or press the plus or minus button to set the power setting directly to the maximum or minimum power setting.

The cooking zone heats up. The display shows the selected power setting.
The display shows the no-pan-detected symbol when the pan is removed from the cooking zone.

After one minute of inactivity, the appliance automatically goes into standby mode. The LED on/off button goes off. The display goes off.
The power setting can be adjusted during cooking.

COOKING ZONE MAXIMUM POWER

| 1800 – 2300 W
| 1200 – 1500 W
| 1800 – 2300 W
| 1200 – 1500 W

NOTE

This appliance has a power limitation system. Each hob can operate separately at the highest power level. It is not possible to operate all hobs at the highest power level at the same time.

USING THE BOOSTER FUNCTION

The booster button can set a cooking zone to the maximum power.

  1. Press the control button of a cooking zone of your choice.

  2. Press the booster button.
    The booster is switched on. The cooking zone heats up. The display shows the power boost symbol.
    After five minutes, the booster function switches off. The cooking zone continues to heat at the highest power setting. You can also turn off the booster function before the booster has expired:

  3. Press the control button of the cooking zone with the booster.

  4. Press the power setting button to turn off the booster. The cooking zone continues to heat at the highest power setting.

  5. Swipe the power setting control adjust the power.

SETTING THE TIMER

The timer function can be used in two different ways:

  • You can set the timer so that the selected cooking zone is switched off after the time has elapsed.
  • You can set the timer as an egg timer, so that an audible signal sounds after the time has elapsed. This option does not switch off the cooking zone.
  1. Set the desired power position of a cooking zone of your choice.

  2. Press the control button of a cooking zone of your choice.

  3. Setting the egg timer: press the timer button before the cooking zone display stops flashing to set an egg timer.

  4. Set the timer: press the timer button after the cooking zone display stops flashing to set a timer that turns off the cooking zone.
    The cooking zone display shows 10.
    NOTE
    You can also press the timer button to set the egg timer without selecting a cooking zone.

  5. Press the plus button and minus button to set the timer time. The timer time can be set between 0 and 99 minutes.

NOTE

Press the plus button and minus button simultaneously to cancel the timer.

The timer is now turned on. The display shows the set timer time.
If the cooking zone is turned off after the timer has expired, the cooking zone display next to the power indicator shows a point.
When multiple timers are used, the display shows the time of the timer that expires first.
Press the control button of a cooking zone to see the remaining time of the timer.

USING THE CHILD SAFETY LOCK

  1. Press and hold the child lock button for 3 seconds to activate the child lock.
    The display shows L0. You can only operate the on/off button and child lock button.
    The display also shows L0 if another button is pressed, this is to indicate that the child lock is enabled.

  2. Press and hold the child lock button for 5 seconds to disable the child lock.
    The child lock does not switch off when the appliance is switched off.

SWITCHING OFF A COOKING ZONE

  1. Press the control button of a cooking zone of your choice.
  2. Press the minus button. The power setting level goes to 0.
    The display shows H if the temperature of the cooking zone exceeds 50°C. The fans will keep running until the cooking zone temperature drops below 50°C.

AFTER USE

CAUTION!

RISK OF BURNS DUE TO HEAT. After use, always switch off the appliance via the control panel. Don’t rely only on pan detection.

  1. Press and hold the on/off button for 3 seconds to turn off the appliance.
    The display shows H if the temperature of the cooking zone exceeds 50°C. The fans will keep running until the cooking zone temperature drops below 50°C.

  2. Immediately after use, remove molten plastic, molten foil, sugar and sugary dishes from the cooking zone with a hob scraper suitable for induction hobs to prevent permanent damage to the glass plate.

  3. Let the device cool down.

Before servicing and cleaning the appliance, carefully review the safety information in Section 1.

  • ELECTROCUTION HAZARD DUE TO SHORT CIRCUIT. Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.

NOTICE!

Clean the appliance after each use.

  1. Remove lime and water rings, grease splashes and metallic shiny discolorations with a damp cloth and detergent.
  2. Remove shiny metal discolorations with a damp cloth and a solution of water and vinegar.
  3. Clean the outside of the device with a soft, damp cloth.
  4. Dry all parts with a soft cloth.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The appliance has been on for some time and will switch off automatically if it is at a certain power level for an extended period of time. Below are the automatic cut-off times for each power setting:

Power setting 1-3: 360 minutes
Power setting 4-6: 180 minutes
Power setting 7-8: 120 minutes

TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

  1. Clean the appliance. Follow the instructions in chapter 5. Cleaning and maintenance.
  2. Unplug the power cable from the earthed socket.
  3. Carefully remove the appliance from its place.
  4. Store the appliance in its original packaging in a dry and ventilated space.
