  12. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  13. To disconnect, press the Start/Stop button for 3 seconds to turn the appliance off and then remove the plug from wall outlet.
  14. Do not use the appliance for anything other than intended use.
  15. Oversized foods or metal utensils must not be inserted in the air fryer as they may create a fire or create a risk of electric shock.
  16. A fire may occur if the appliance is covered by or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation. Do not store any item on top of the appliance when in operation.
  17. Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical parts involving a risk of electric shock.
  18. Extreme caution should be exercised when using containers constructed of other than metal or glass.
  19. Do not store any materials, other than manufacturers recommended accessories, in this appliance when not in use.
  20. Do not place any of the following materials in the appliance: paper, cardboard, plastic, and the like.
  21. Do not cover the cooking basket or any part of your air fryer with metal foil. This causes overheating of the air fryer.
  22. Do not leave unit unattended when in use.

  26. Immediately unplug the unit if you see dark smoke coming out of the appliance. Wait for the smoke emission to stop before you remove the basket.
  27. Do not place the appliance against a wall or against other appliances.
  28. Leave at least 6 inches (15 cm) of free space on the back, sides and above the appliance.

Caution!!

  • Always place the appliance on a horizontal, flat, heat resistant and stable surface.
  • This appliance is intended for normal household use only.
  • Always unplug the appliance after use.
  • Let the appliance cool down for approximately 30 minutes before handling or cleaning it.
  • The appliance is equipped with a safety micro switch inside that will pause the cooking process automatically if the basket is removed during cooking.
  • Do not cover the air inlet/outlet when appliance is in use.

POLARIZED PLUG INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit into the polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not properly fit into the outlet at first, reverse it. If it still does not fit, contact a competent qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS

A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from becoming entangled in, or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.

  • The electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least that of the appliance. If the electrical rating of the extension cord is too low, it could overheat and burn.
  • The resulting extended cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

KNOW YOUR AIR FRYER

Prepare your favorite foods and snacks in a quick, healthy, and easy way with your new Kalorik air fryer. This air fryer uses high-speed hot air circulation to cook your ingredients from all sides, simultaneously! It also allows you to prepare a variety of tasty dishes without the addition of excess oils or fats to most ingredients. This air fryer features:

  • A touch-sensitive control panel with 13 preset menus.
  • A digital control of the cooking time and temperature.
  • A temperature control range of 170°F – 400°F
  • A timer range from 0 to 60 minutes, which is equipped with an auto shut-off feature. Once the timer reaches “0:00”, the unit will beep five times, cool down, and turn itself off.

Other great advantages provided by your Kalorik Air Fryer include:

  • Fast cooking, with little to no preheating required.
  • Quick and easy clean-up: the non-stick coated parts are conveniently sized to fit in the dishwasher.
  • Hassle-free frying—no spatters, no mess, and no oil smell!
  • Versatility—with its frying, baking, grilling, and roasting capacities, this unit serves as a great cooking tool for a busy kitchen.
  • No assembly required—very easy and safe to use!

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

  • Unpack the appliance and its accessories (food basket and trivet). Wash the accessories in hot, soapy water and then wipe them dry. Wipe the interior of the frying cavity with a damp cloth or sponge, and then dry with a paper towel. Make sure the cavity is dry before operating the unit.
  • Position your air fryer on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface. Make sure that it is also positioned at least 6 inches (15 cm) away from any surrounding objects.
  • It is recommended to let your air fryer heat for about 20 minutes without any food in it. This helps to eliminate grease that may have adhered during manufacturing and remove the “new” appliance smell.
  • Ventilate the room during this period. When your air fryer is heated for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odor. This is normal with many heating appliances and does not affect the safety of your product.

Caution: When moving your air fryer, make sure that you hold it securely and support the base — do not rely on the food basket handle when moving your air fryer!

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Preparing for use

  • Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal, and level surface. Make sure that the surface is heat resistant and that your air fryer is also positioned at least 6 inches (15 cm) away from any surrounding objects.
  • Make sure that the trivet is securely placed inside the food basket.
  • Use the trivet handle, located in the center of the trivet, to easily insert or remove from the basket.
  • Insert the plug into a wall socket. The unit will beep once and the Start/Stop button will light up to indicate your air fryer is now ready for use.

Caution!

  • Do not fill the food basket with oil or any other liquid, as this creates the risk of a fire hazard.
  • Never use your air fryer without the trivet in place.
  • Keep all ingredients in the basket to prevent any contact with the appliance’s heating elements. Do not overfill the food basket.
  • Do not cover the air inlet on the top or the air outlet on the back of the unit while the appliance is in use.
  • Do not touch the inside of the appliance while it is operating.
  • Never immerse the unit’s housing in water or rinse it under the tap.

Using the appliance

Your air fryer can be used to prepare a large variety of foods. Please refer to the table in the Using the Presets section for basic cooking times, or explore a wide list of delicious recipes in the included recipe book.

  1. Pull the handle to carefully remove the food basket from your air fryer. Make sure the trivet is secured in place.

  2. Place your ingredients in the food basket.
Do not overfill the basket as this could affect the quality of your cooking results.

  3. Slide the basket back into your air fryer.
Caution! Do not touch the food basket, trivet, or the inside of your air fryer during and immediately after use, as they will be extremely hot. Only hold the food basket by its handle. Remember to always use oven mitts, the unit will be HOT!
Tip: You can cook in your air fryer without using the trivet inside of the food basket. For recipes without trivet refer to the recipe book provided.

  4. Plug the cord into a wall outlet. The appliance will beep once and only the Start/Stop key will turn on.

  5. To turn on your air fryer, touch the Start/Stop key. The appliance will emit one longer beep and the entire control panel will light up.

  6. The default time and temperature will show on the screen: 20min/360°F.

  7. Touch the M (menu) key to select among the 13* available presets: chicken breast, wings, steak, burger, fish, shrimp, tofu, fries, veggies, corn, pastry, pizza, and reheat.

12 presets can be selected using the M key. For reheat preset, touch the reheat icon key instead. It is located on the top right corner of the control panel.

  • Each preset has its own preset time/temperature (see Using the Presets section)

  • As you move through the presets, only the preset you are currently selecting will be lit, the rest will be off.

  • The bottom icons: Time/Temp, Menu, Start/Stop, and
(Increase/Decrease) will always be lit except when the unit is off (only Start/Stop key is lit).

  • Time and temperature can be adjusted as desired by touching the adjustment keys:

  • Switch between time and temperature by touching the

Time/Temp key.

  • Maximum cooking time is 60 minutes.
  • The maximum temperature can be set at 400°F.
  • A single touch will increase/decrease the cooking temperature. If you leave any of the keys continually pressed, the temperature will increase/decrease rapidly.

Once you have selected your desired preset or custom time/temperature, touch the Start/Stop key to begin the cooking process.

  • The fan icon will turn on to indicate the appliance has started to generate hot air.
  • The preset selected, reheat, and bottom icons will stay on for the remainder of the cooking process.
  • The timer will start counting down from your selected time.

Note:

While cooking, excess oil and juices from the ingredients will collect in the food basket. Please note this is normal and expected to happen.

Tips:

  • Some recipes require shaking the food in the basket halfway through the cooking process to achieve optimal results.
    • Pull the basket out of the appliance using the handle.
    • Gently, but firmly, shake the ingredients inside the basket.
    • Slide the basket back into your air fryer and continue to cook.
  • For recipes that require ingredients to be shaken halfway through the cooking process, split your cooking time into 2 phases. This will allow you to know when to remove the basket and shake the ingredients. Once you have shaken your food, insert the basket, touch the Start/Stop button to enter stand-by mode* and select your time and temperature to complete the second half of the cooking process.

Stand-by mode: Initial screen where you can select from all presets or choose desired time/temperature.

Pausing the cooking process:

  • You can pull the basket out at any time to check on your food. Your air fryer will pause the cooking process automatically and resume after you slide the basket back into the appliance. Pulling the basket briefly in the middle of your cooking process will not affect your results because the rapid hot air technology will instantly reheat the inner cavity of the appliance.
  • You can also pause the cooking process manually by touching the Start/Stop key once while the unit is in use. Touch again to resume your cycle.

Once the cooking time has elapsed, the appliance will beep 5 times to indicate that the cooking process has ended.

  • The inner fan will stay on for approximately 20-25 seconds after the timer elapses for cooling purposes.
  • All icons will light up and the message ‘END’ will be displayed.
  • To enter stand-by mode again, touch the Start/Stop key. To turn the unit off, long press the Start/Stop key for 2-3 seconds.

With oven mitts on, pull the basket by the handle, remove it from your air fryer, and place it on a heat-resistant surface.
Check to see if the ingredients are ready.

  • If ready, carefully serve your ingredients onto a plate.
  • If not ready:
  • Slide the basket back into the appliance, touch the Start/Stop key to enter stand-by mode, and cook for as long as needed.

You can manually stop the cooking process or switch the appliance off at any time by leaving the Start/Stop key pressed for 2-3 consecutive seconds. After 3 seconds the appliance will emit a single beep, cool down, and then turn off completely (only Start/Stop key will stay on).
Caution! After air frying, the basket and ingredients will be VERY HOT! Additionally, depending on the type of the ingredients used, steam may escape out of the unit. Be mindful of scalding and always wear kitchen gloves for protection.

Tips:

  • To remove large or fragile ingredients, use a pair of tongs to extract your food from the basket. Use tongs or utensils with heat-resistant plastic tips. Avoid metallic tips or utensils as they may scratch the coating off the basket and the trivet.
  • To remove the trivet from the basket, wait until the basket has completely cooled off. Grab the trivet handle, located in the middle of the trivet, and pull it out.
  • Always use heat-resistant gloves to manipulate the basket, trivet, or cooking accessories.
  • When a batch of food is ready, your air fryer will instantly be ready to be used for preparing another batch.

IMPORTANT: If you notice the fan is not operating once the product starts cooking (no noise or airflow), please discontinue usage immediately and contact Customer Service.

Tips:

  • Any food that can be prepared in a traditional oven can also be prepared in your air fryer.
  • Shaking ingredients halfway through the cooking process improves results and can help prevent unevenly air-fried food.
  • A larger amount of ingredients requires a slightly longer preparation time; a smaller amount of ingredients requires a slightly shorter preparation time.
  • If food tends to stick to the trivet or sides of the basket, add cooking oil spray on the basket and trivet prior to adding your food.
  • Use pre-made dough to prepare filled snacks quickly and easily. Pre-made dough also requires a shorter preparation time than home-made dough.
  • Place a baking tin or oven dish in your air fryer basket if you want to bake a cake or quiche or if you want to air fry delicate or filled ingredients.

Memory Setting

Your air fryer includes a memory feature that will pick up your cooking process where you left it off in case you unplug the appliance while it is in use. It will remember your selected preset, or custom time / temperature and resume the cooking cycle automatically.
This feature also applies when you have a power shortage. If you wish to start a new cycle, long press the Start/Stop key for 2-3 seconds to turn the unit off, press it again to enter stand-by mode, and select your new cooking preferences.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Make sure to clean the appliance after each use!
  • Switch the appliance off. Before cleaning, unplug from outlet and allow it to cool down completely.
  • The basket and trivet can be cleaned in hot water with mild detergent / dish soap, or in the dishwasher. Do not use metal kitchen utensils or abrasive cleaning materials to clean, as this may damage the non-stick coating. Rinse and dry thoroughly after cleaning.
  • For deep cleaning, the 4 silicone pads can be removed from the trivet. The silicone pads can be washed in hot soapy water. Do not forget to place the silicone pads back in place after cleaning.
  • To remove baked-on food, fill the basket with hot, soapy water. Let the basket and trivet soak for about 10 minutes before cleaning in the sink.

Cleaning inside the cavity:

  • Wipe the cavity with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry with a paper towel.
  • Never use abrasive products in the cavity!
  • Never immerse the appliance in water and make sure that no water or moisture penetrates the upper part of the air fryer.
  • Clean the heating element inside your fryer with a cleaning brush to remove any food residue.

Cleaning your air fryer’s exterior:

  • Wipe clean with a damp sponge or cloth. Wipe dry.
  • NEVER use steel wool, metal scouring pads or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the finish.
  • Do not let any liquids enter the air inlet on the top of your air fryer.

Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
