Before you start to assemble the battery-operated jeep, take the parts out of the packaging and check whether all parts indicated in the list below are present. Keep the packaging until you have completely finished the assembly.

WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SAFE USE

Read the instructions carefully and follow them strictly!

WARNING:

  • Warning! To be used under the direct supervision of an adult.
  • NEVER LEAVE THE CHILD WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION. Always monitor the child while it is using the battery operated jeep.
  • Warning! This toy is unsuitable for children under 3 years due to its maximum speed.
  • Intended for children from 37 to 96 months of age with maximum weight up to 30 kg.
  • This toy has no breaks.
  • Use only as intended. The battery operated jeep is a toy – it is not intended to transport people on long distances or luggage and etc.
  • Adult assembly required.
  • Children under 3 years of age are not to be present during assembly of the jeep. Small parts. Risk of choking.
  • Keep the packing away from children during the unpacking and afterwards.
  • The assembly and charging of the batteries must be made by an adult.
  • Use with caution. Skill is required to avoid falls or collisions causing injury to the user or third parties.
  • Warning! Protective equipment should be worn. Not to be used in traffic.
  • The product is intended for use only by one child at a session.
  • Never use on roads, close to cars, on or close to steep hills or stairs, pools, or other water bodies, muddy terrains or swampy areas.
  • Check regularly the condition of each part, since there is a risk of injuring your child in case of damage.
  • Do not use the jeep if you find loosen, worn-out or damaged parts. The wheels must be moving freely.
  • One must always use shoes during use. The child must not be barefoot during use of the toy or with shoes with slippery soles.
  • One must always sit on the seat. Do not allow the child to step on the seat or to use the battery operated jeep, while standing up.
  • Your child must not jump with the jeep from curbs or other higher parts or bump into them.
  • You must teach your child and the other children, which are near the jeep, not to touch its wheels with hands or other objects, while the jeep is moving.
  • Do not tie or attach objects or accessories to the toy. This may lead to hanging, twining and disturbance of the balance causing injuring your child.
  • Do not modify any of the parts of the product!
  • Keep away from direct heat sources – heathers, open fires or others.
  • Do not use the jeep in rainy days, do not get it wet with water or other liquids during play or during cleaning. This will prevent the risk of damage of the toy due to rust on the metal parts or disturbing the stability of the connections.

Rules for safe driving

  • The children must be in Safe Zones for driving:
  • Not to be used on slopes or steep areas or stairs, near swimming pools or other water bodies.
  • Use the toy on even ground and in safe areas only. Such as – in your home, park or playground.
  • Using the product behind vehicles, near or on high traffic, streets, rivers, slopes, escalators or other dangerous places is strictly forbidden.
  • Never use on lawns or other grass areas, on or near steep slopes.
  • Avoid sandy or other hard and rough surfaces. Do not use in poor weather (snow, rain, strong wind), or at places that are poorly lit, or places with poor visibility or with obstacles.
  • Never use in the dark.Your child may encounter unexpected obstacles resulting in an accident. Use only during the day or at places that are well lit.
  • It is forbidden to shorten the terminals of the electric cables or to add other electric parts.
  • Periodically check the wires, bushings and connectors.
  • Do not allow children to touch the wheels or be close to them, when the battery operated jeep is in motion.
  • The product has adjustable safety belts. Instruct the children to fasten their seat belts before use in order to guarantee their safety.
  • Some accessories of the jeep may get damaged during improper driving, be careful.
  • DO not use suddenly the forwards/backwards switch, while the jeep is in motion. It can be used only while the toy is stopped in place.
  • When restarting the motor there may be some sparks. It is forbidden to start the jeep in highly flammable and explosive environments such as petrol stations.
  • An adult must read this instruction carefully and give correct guidelines to children before playing with this product. Show them how to start and release the pedal, how to stop the jeep and how to act in case of malfunctions.
  • When you stop using the toy, turn off the power.
  • Do not change anything in the body and parts of the product. This may lead to destabilization of the toy and injury to your child.
  • The following must be confirmed before using the product:
  • Important! Before use of the product for the first time, the battery must be charged from 4 to 6 hours, but no more than 10 hours. Only an adult can charge and recharge the battery.
  • Check regularly all screws, nuts and safety coverings and tighten them if necessary!
  • Before each use check the seat. Whether it is correctly placed and mounted (installed) with the help of a screw.
  • In order to avoid incidents, make sure that the battery operated jeep is entirely safe before use.

ASSEMBLY STEPS

  • Make sure that the battery operated jeep is switched off before starting the assembly.
  • On figure 2 are shown the needed instruments needed for the assembly.
  • Adult assembly required.
  1. Attaching the rear handle – See figure A1: Turn the vehicle upside down.

  2. Attach the rear handle in the groove at the bottom of the vehicle.

  3. Align the openings on the body with those on the rear handle.

  4. Slide M5x35 machine screw through one of the openings and fix it with Ø5 nut.

  5. Repeat on the other side.

  6. Fixing the driving wheels – See figure A2: With DW on the figure is shown the driving wheel, and with RA – the rear axle. Remove all parts from the rear axle.

  7. Attach the gearboxes to the rear axle. The “R” marked gearbox must be attached to the right “R” side, and the “L” marked gearbox on the left “L” size.

  8. Attach the driving wheel to the rear axle. It should match the gear box.

  9. Attach the Ø12 washer on the axle.

  10. Fix with locknut and spanner. Hint: An extra spanner has been provided to hold the lock nut on the other side of the rear axle while tightening the lock nut on the other side.

  11. Finally attach the hubs to the wheels.

  12. Fixing the front wheels – See Figure A3: With NW on the figure is shown the front wheel and with FA the front axle. Remove all parts from the front axle.

  13. Put a Ø12 washer on the axle.

  14. Put a bushing on the front axle.

  15. Put the front wheel on the front axle.

  16. Put a Ø12 washer on the axle.

  17.  Put a locknut at the end of the axle and tighten it using a spanner.

  18. Fix the hub to the wheel. You will hear a clicking sound. Repeat the steps to attach and the other front wheel.

  19. Fixing the steering column – See Figure A4: On the figure with H is shown the opening on the front axle, used for fixing the steering column, and with SGB – the front gearbox.

  20. Side the straight end to the steering column through the opening in the front gearbox, situated at the bottom front side of the vehicle. The steering column must pass through the vehicle’s body and the opening in the dashboard.

  21. Make sure that the gear on the steering column matches the gearbox.

  22. Slide the curved end of the column through the hole in the connecting part of the front axle.

  23. Attach Ø12 washer on the steering column.

  24. Slide a cotter pin through the opening in the steering column, bend the ends of the split pin back using long nose pliers.

  25. Attaching the steering wheel – See Figure A5: Hint: If the steering wheel of your jeep is equipped with music functions, follow steps 1 to 4 to insert the needed batteries (not included) and follow the battery information bellow in the manual. With E on figure A5 is shown the end of the steering column.

  26. Use a screwdriver to remove the screw from the cover of the battery compartment, situated in the center of the steering wheel.

  27. Remove the cover of the battery compartment.

  28. Insert 2×1.5V AA batteries according to the correct polarity.

  29. Replace the cover of the battery compartment and fix it using the screw you removed in step 1.
    Remove the M5x35 machine screw and Ø5 nut from the steering wheel. Turn the vehicle upside up.

  30. Attach the steering wheel on top of the steering column, protruding from the middle of the steering wheel’s base. 6.Align the openings on each side of the steering wheel with those of the steering column. 7.Slide the screw through these openings and fix it with the Ø5 nut and screwdriver.
    BATTERY INFORMATION

  * Non – rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
  * Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged!
  * Rechargeable batteries are to be charged only by an adult!
  * Different types of batteries or new and used ones are not to be mixed.
  * Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
  * Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
  * The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
  1. Connect the power supply – See Figure A6: On the figure with B is shown the battery and with FB the fuse box.
  2. Connect the red connector of the fuse to the red terminal of the battery.
  3. Connect the connectors of the vehicle’s body with the connectors of the motor. Repeat on the other side.
  4. Attaching the motor hoods – See Figure A7: 3
  5. Attached the cover hood on the motor.
  6. Attach two Ø4х12 screws and tighten them. Repeat the same actions and for the other cover hood of the other motor.
  7. Attaching the seat and the wing mirrors – See Figures A8 and A9:
  8. Attach the tabs of the back of the seat in the openings in the rear parts of the jeep.
  9. Put a bolt under the seat in the groove of the vehicle’s body.
  10. Tighten the screw in order to fix the seat.
  11. Put the side mirror in the opening the door and push carefully to fix it. Repeat the same actions to fix and the other mirror.

USE OF THE BATTERY OPERATED JEEP

Warning: Always stop vehicle when changing the speed or direction to avoid damage on the gears and motor.

  1. Power Switch: Turns the vehicle on and off.
  2. Foot pedal: Applies power (speed) to the vehicle. To move the car, press the pedal down. To brake or slow down, release pressure from the pedal.
  3. Sound buttons: Press for sounds playing.
  4. Switch for moving forward and reverse To move the vehicle forward, shift the lever to top position. To move the vehicle backward, shift the lever to down position.
  5. High/Low speed switch: To move the vehicle forward in high speed, shift the lever to top position. To move the vehicle forward in low speed, shift the lever to down position. HINT: The vehicle is designed to operate in reverse in low speed only.
  6. Lights’ switch: Turning on or off the lights.
  7. Volume control button (if equipped): +/- volume.

USE OF THE MULTIFUNCTIONAL MP3 PLAYER (IF YOUR JEEP IS EQUIPPED WITH

SUCH)

  • A. Digital voltmeter: Check the power remaining of your battery,
  • B. Mode button: Music mode >> Storytelling mode >> Nursery rhyme mode
  • C. Play / Pause
  • D. Next / volume+: Long press for increasing volume
  • E. Previous/volume-: Long press for decreasing volume
  • F. 3.5mm AUX input: Allows the audio from your portable music player or phone to be played through the jeep’s speakers. MP3 format ONLY.
  • G. USB interface: Allows the audio from your portable music player to be played through the jeep’s speakers. MP3 format ONLY

REMOTE CONTROL USE

WARNING! ONLY AN ADULT CAN USE THE REMOTE CONTROL!
The use of the remote control is always with priority over the manual and pedal operation with the jeep. (If you use the remote control, the pedal will not work.)

Placing the batteries inside the remote control: The remote control works with batteries, which are not included in the product. Remove the screw from cover of the battery compartment, then remove the cover and place 2 pcs AAA (LR03) batteries. Observe the correct polarity, indicated at the bottom of the compartment, as well as and the correct size. Place the lid back and fasten it with the screw.
Warning! The placing and further replacement of the batteries must be performed by an adult!

How to operate with the remote control:

  1. Place batteries in the battery compartment of the remote control.
  2. Connection button (build connection): Long press the Connection button for 2-4 seconds. Then turn on the power button located on the vehicle dashboard console, when the low speed indicator goes from flashes into long light, means the connection is successful. If the low speed indicator only flashes, means the connection failed. Turn off the jeep. Replace the batteries and repeat the steps above.
  3. Brake button: Press the button to stop the vehicle, press it again to release the brake.
  4. Speed select button: The switch operates the vehicle to move in low, normal or high speed.
  5. HINT: The vehicle is designed to operate in low speed only in reverse.
  6. NOTICE:
    • Do not use the remote controller for about 10 seconds, it will shut down automatically.
    • Repeat step 1, when you replace the batteries of the remote controller.

DOOR LOCK USE

DL: With DL is shown the door lock.
NOTE: Close the door and ensure the lock has snapped into place, when Your child is using the jeep, to ensure its safety.

CHARGING OF THE BATTERY-OPERATED JEEP

WARNING!

  • Do not place the battery or adapter for another product. This may result in overheating, fire or explosion.
  • NEVER change the electric current. Making any changes to it may lead to short circuit, fire or explosion or the system may permanently get damaged.
  • DO NOT ALLOW DIRECT CONTACT BETWEEN THE TERMINALS OF THE BATTERY. THIS MAY LEAD TO FIRE OR EXPLOSION.
  • Do not allow any liquid to get in contact with the battery or its components.
  • During the charging of the battery explosive gases, heat or flammable substances accumulate. Charge the battery in well ventilated places ONLY.
  • Never pick up the battery by its cable or adapter. This may lead to damaging of the battery resulting in a fire. Pick the battery by the corpus ONLY.
  • Charge the battery in dry areas only.
  • The battery terminals, connectors and parts related to them contain lead and lead components, chemicals, which according to the state of California can cause cancers and reproductive disabilities. Always wash your hands after handling the battery.
  • Do not open the battery. The battery contains lead acid and other materials, which are toxic and corrosive.
  • Do not open the adapter! The exposed wires and electric components in the corpus of the adapter may cause electric shock.
  • Only an adult can handle and charge the battery. NEVER allow children to work with or charge the battery. The battery is heavy and contains lead acid (electrolyte).
  • Never drop the battery. This may lead to permanent damage of the battery or serious injuries.
  • Before you start charging the product you must check whether the adapter, battery and cables are in good working order. If there is damage on any of these parts, you must stop using them, until the damage is removed.
  • Do not let the battery discharge entirely. You must recharge it after each use or once a month if you are not going to use it regularly.
  • Do no turn the battery backwards.
  • Always secure and fasten the rechargeable battery with the bracket. Otherwise the battery can fall and injure the child, if the battery-operated jeep upturns.
  • It is normal for the adapter to get heated during charging, but if the adapter gets very hot, you must stop the charging and check the adapter and battery.
  • Before you put the battery operated jeep in storage, you must charge its battery completely. After that every 3 months you must charge it, in order to prolong its life.
  • During charging the jeep is not usable, because the current of the electric system is stopped.
  • Switch the POWER BUTTON OFF during charging.
  • Before use for the first time, you must charge the battery for 4 – 6 hours. Do not charge the battery for more than 10 hours, in order to avoid overheating of the adapter
  • When the battery operated jeep starts moving more slowly, you must recharge the battery.
  • After each use or at least once a month you must recharge the rechargeable battery between 8 and 12 hours, but less than 20 hours.
  • Children are not allowed to handle the adapter. Only an adult must handle it. After charging you must always store it at a place out of the reach of children. The adapter is not a toy.
  • If your battery operated jeep BMW is equipped with digital voltmeter (optional), you will be able to read the charge of the battery and estimate when to start charging it. Make sure that the battery operated jeep is stopped from motion before you start charging it!

REPLACING OF THE BATTERY AND FUSE

The battery operated jeep is equipped with a self-restoring fuse (thermal fuse) in case the motor, electric system or battery get overloaded it stops the power. The thermal fuse will restore the power after the battery operated jeep turns off for 5 minutes and afterwards it will turn back on. If the thermal fuse keeps disconnecting during normal use, the battery operated jeep may need being repaired. Contact the shop you bought the product from or the importer.
In order to avoid loss of energy, follow these guidelines:

  • Do not overload the battery operated jeep.
  • Do not tie anything to the rear part of the jeep.
  • Do not use the battery operated jeep on steep hills.
  • Do not drive the jeep against immovable objects, because this may lead to turning of the wheels and overheating of the motor.
  • Do not use the battery operated jeep in very hot weather, because its components may get overheated.
  • Do not allow water or other liquids to get in contact with the battery or other electric components.
  • Do not repair or change anything on the electric current of the battery operated jeep. Otherwise there may be short circuit and the fuse may disconnect.

REMOVAL OF THE DISCHARGED BATTERY

Your battery at one point will lose its ability to hold charge. Depending on the amount of use and varying conditions, the battery should be used between one and three years. In order to replace the battery and remove the discharged one, follow the steps below:

  1. Remove the seat of the battery operated jeep.

  2. Remove the jacks of the battery’s cables.

  3. Remove the metal bracket that protects the battery from falling.

  4. Remove the lid of the battery compartment.

  5. Carefully lift the battery

  6. Place the discharged battery in a plastic packaging.
    Important! The sealed lead-acid battery must be recycled or thrown away in an ecologically friendly manner for the purpose of avoiding pollution of the environment. The battery contains lead acid (electrolyte) and must be discarded in an ecologically friendly manner in accordance with the regulatory requirements. DO NOT throw the rechargeable battery in fire, because it may explode or leak. DO NOT throw the lead-acid battery in the containers for household waste. The incineration (burning), land filling or mixing of the sealed lead-acid batteries with the household waste is forbidden by law. The discharged rechargeable battery can be given at the local recycling center for recycling or at a center for sale of such batteries.

  7. Replace the battery with new one and reconnect all cables and terminals.

  8. Place the metal bracket protecting the battery from upturning or falling back on.

  9. Return the seat of the battery operated jeep back in place.

Before you contact the store for repair of the product, read this instruction manual and the troubleshooting guide in its entirety. Do not try to repair the battery operated jeep on your own. Contact the shop you bought the product from .

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF THE PRODUCT

Cleaning:

  1. Do not clean the product with a hose. Do not wash it with water and soap. Do not use the jeep, when it rains or snows. Water may damage the motor, electric system or battery.
  2. Clean the battery operated jeep with soft, dry cloth only. In order to restore the shine of the plastic parts, use polishing agent for furniture WITHOUT wax. Do not use strong abrasive cleaning agents.

Maintenance and storage:

  1. The responsibility to check the main parts of the toy before use is entirely to the parents/ adult. Regularly check for potential risk of damage/injury – the battery, adapter, electric cables or wires, bushings, screws, body, moving systems, wheels, fastening components – whether they are in good working condition or not, whether there is any damage, broken or chipped parts. If you find any, you must stop using the product, until the damage is removed. Contact the shop you bought the product from or the importer.
  2. Make sure that the plastic parts of the toy are not cracked or broken.
  3. From time to time use lubricating oil, in order to oil the moving parts such as wheels and moving connections. You must apply a very thin layer of the oil and be careful while applying it.
  4. Store the jeep in upright position only, do not turn it upside down and do not tilt it. Park the battery operated jeep indoors or cover it with sailcloth, in order to protect it in humid weather.
  5. When you are not going to use the product, you must store it at a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Do not store the product close to sources of heat – open fire, heating devices or cookers and also at humid places.
  6. FOR ADULTS ONLY: recharge the battery after each use. Recharge the battery at least once a month, when you are not using the battery-operated jeep.
  7. When the battery-operated jeep is not being used, all electric sources must be switched off. All switches must be in zero position or in “stop” position. Disconnect the bushings of the battery’s cables.
  8. If you are not going to use the product for a long time, you must charge the battery completely, before you put it for storage. You must charge the battery every three months in order to prolong its life.
  9. Before you put the jeep for storage you must switch the power button OFF, remove the cables from all bushings and the rechargeable battery of the jeep. Store it at a suitable place (dry, cool and well-ventilated place). Do not allow children to play close to the battery.
  10. IMPORTANT! DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES OF THE BODY OF THE JEEP AND ITS MAIN PARTS AND ALSO THE ELECTRIC INSTALLATION! This may lead to damaging of the jeep, improper operation and a risk of injury to the child. These parts must be maintained by an expert–authorized repair shop or importer.
  11. Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries, do not mix old and new or different types of batteries. Observe the correct polarity while placing the batteries.
