IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Read all instructions. All user guidelines must be read before the device is used.
2. Retain the instructions for further use.
3. For indoor use only.
4. Do not position the unit where it would be subjected to extreme moisture, temperature, or dust.
5. Do not use it in bathrooms or other humid places.
6. Do not overload mains wall outlets or extension cords
7. Ensure there is no power to the socket before installation or removal.
8. There are no user-maintainable parts, do not attempt to disassemble or repair them.
9. Do not place the device near a heat source, or expose it to direct sunlight.

INSTALLING THE APP

The app can be downloaded to your phone either by using the QR codes below or by searching for “smart life” in your app store Android &IOS

1. Click on the register button at the bottom of the screen
2. Enter either your mobile phone number or email address to receive a verification code, and press the next
3. Once you have received the verification code, enter it in the top box, and create a password in the lower box before pressing confirm.

You are now ready to add your device to your app.

ADDING A DEVICE TO THE APP
The smart devices have two different setup modes: Ordinary Mode and AP (Access Point).

The Ordinary Mode is a quick and simple way to set
The AP mode uses a direct local wifi connection between your phone and the device to upload the network details. Before the setup, please ensure The connection type you are attempting, and the flashing of the lights on your device will indicate this The units can be reset by changing between the modes please see the below table.

QUICK CONNECTION

Before initiating the connection, make sure the unit is in Ordinary mode, with the light flashing once per second. If not follow the guide in the factory reset section, also ensure your phone is connected to the wi-fi network. This product can be controlled by wifi or Bluetooth dual mode. The first connection must be made in the wifi state. After the connection is completed, the bluetooth of the mobile phone can be turned on to operate the product when the network is disconnected.

Note
The product will automatically search for a bluetooth signal after 5 minutes when the Internet is disconnected, so please be patient! The distance between the mobile phone and the product should be within the controllable range of Bluetooth, which is generally within 10 meters without occlusion. Here’s how to connect your product to your phone. We will introduce two ways, the first is the use of wifi direct connection and the second is the mobile phone Bluetooth-assisted wifi connection.

First connection– Wifi direct

1. Open the app and click “+” or Add Device。
2. Select the type of device, Lighting Device
3. Enter your wifi password and press NEXT.
4. Ensure the light is flashing quickly, and press the orange button to confirm.
5. Find the device and register it in the cloud. After the device is initialized you can enter the operation interface

The second connection — Bluetooth-assisted wifi connection

1. Turn on your phone bluetooth, Open the app and click “+” or Add Device。
2. Automatically retrieve the device via Bluetooth and click Go to add.
3. Click “+” and fill in the wifi account and password. Wait for the connection, and then enter the operation interface.

CONTROLLING YOUR DEVICE THROUGH THE APP

1. you can now 1:control your device on /off by pressing the power icon on the right-hand side of the device.

LINKING YOUR DEVICE TO GOOGLE HOME OR AMAZON ECHO
Please follow the instructions above to access the settings for your device. There are 2 entries “Use Echo” and “Use Google Home” which will guide you through the setup process for linking up the device.

TROUBLESHOOTING

1. Check whether the device is powered on and is in the correct standby mode, if not please refer to the factory reset section
2. Ensure the wifi password has been entered into the app correctly ( Case sensitive)
3. Check that the phone is connected to the wifi you are connecting the device to.
4. Ensure the network you are connecting it to is 2.4 GHz (5 GHz wifi networks are not supported), and that there is a strong wifi signal to the item.
5. Check the settings on the router. The description should be WPA2-PSK and the authorisation type should be set to AES
