FOOD VACUUM PRESERVATION RECOMMENDATIONS
A more safe and ideal vacuum preservation quality of food can be achieved according to the following recommendations from the perspective of science.
-
Clean hands, tools, and work surfaces prior to vacuum packaging.
-
After perishable food is sealed, be sure to refrigerate it immediately.
-
Eat perishable food soon after it is heated or defrosted.
-
When a bag under vacuum sealing is opened, remaining contents should be vacuum sealed again if they are returned to long term storage.
-
The optimum defrosting method is to put the food into your refrigerator chamber. Be cautious when defrosting in hot water and keep water well below boiling.
Defrosting in a microwave oven is not recommended unless the seal is pierced so that steam can escape. -
For quick freezing, allow air soace around sealed bags in the freezer, do not crowd unfrozen bags in freezer, or inner part of food might be spoiled before it is frozen.
PRECAUTIONS & SUGGESTIONS FOR USE
- Do not overfill the sealer bag. Leave enough room below the opening of the bag so that the mouth can be freely placed in the vacuum chamber for air extraction and sealing without drawing moisture from the food into the vacuum chamber or contaminating the sealing surfaces inside bag, which could result in the bag not sealing properly.
- Be sure that the opening of the sealer bag is dry.
- Do not cover the vacuum pump intake with the sealer bag so as not to impede the vacuuming.
- Clean and flatten the sealer bag to remove wrinkles to that it can seal smoothly and uniformly.
- It is recommended that there be at least a 30 sec. interval between sealing operations so that unit will not overheat.
- Opening the cover will terminate all functions.
- Do not touch the sealing surface. Sealing surface remains hot after sealing Touching the sealing surface can cause severe burns.
- Pay attention to the condition of contents during vacuuming. If contents appear in danger of damage, revert to Inching and seal prior to damage. You may press “Seal Only” button for sealing at any time during the vacuum cycle.
- Do not place articles with sharp edges ina vacuum bag, store such articles with a vacuum container instead of a bag.
CARE AND CLEANING
- Disconnect from power prior to cleaning. 2 Wipe the product surface with wet sponge or cloth after it is cooled.
- Do not scrub with any cleaning product that can scratch the surface.
- Remove food particles and liquid from the vacuum chamber with tissue or cloth.
- Store the product after it is completely dry inside and out. To preserve the gasket, it is better not to lock lid during storage unless gasket is removed.

FAILURE | DESCRIPTION AND SOLUTION |
---|---|
Operation failure | • Power failure or outlet failure. |
• Unit not plugged correctly.
• Physical damage to unit, power cord or plug.
Insufficiency of air extraction or failure of automatic heat sealing| • Check
whether the bag mouth is wholly placed in the vacuum chamber and it doesn’t
cover the pump intake.
• Check whether the vacuum chamber gasket is properly positioned or worn.
• Check whether there is residue on heating surface or sealing pressure strip,
and make sure heat sealing pressure strip is properly installed.
• Check whether the cover is fully locked.
• Check whether there is air leakage of sealer bag. Seal the sealer bag with
some air inside, put it in water and squeeze bag. If bubble comes out, it
means that there is air leakage and new sealer bag is needed.
Air inflow in the sealer bag upon vacuum sealing| • Probably caused by
wrinkles along the sealing seam, oil, liquid or other residue in the seal. If
there is sufficient room, cut bag below the seal ,clean as necessary, and re-
seal the bag.
• Check whether there is excess liquid produced by the food. Is so, freeze
food prior to vacuum sealing.
Poor quality sealing| •Sealing strip is so hot that mouth of sealer bag is
over-fused. Open the cover to coal down the sealing strip for a few minutes.
• Could be caused by wrinkles along the sealing seam, oil, liquid or other
residue in the seal. If there is sufficient room, cut bag below the seal,
clean as necessary, and re-seal the bag.
• Over-working unit. Allow an interval of 30 sec. between sealing Operations
to avoid unit overheating.
