DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVISE

Before using the product, please read below information and manual instruction carefully and keep it for future reference.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION AND PROPER USE OF THE DEVICE:

  1. During the warranty period is recommended to keep the original packaging and proof of purchase, which is also a guarantee card in case of complaints. During transport, the device must be placed in its original packaging.
  2. Before first use, remove the packing and remove everything from inside.
  3. Do not reach for the device if it fell into the water, immediately disconnect it from the power supply.
  4. Never use the appliance near a bathtub, shower, or swimming pool.
  5. Do not store the device in a place where it can come into contact with water.
  6. The device must be disconnected from the power supply immediately after use.
  7. When cleaning the unit must be disconnected from power supply.
  8. The device cannot be left unattended during operating.
  9. Children and persons with reduced physical or mental efficiency can use the device under the control of the people that will guarantee their safety.
  10. The device and its wire must be kept out of the reach of children under 8 years of age. The device is not a toy.
  11. Do not use the device for purposes other than those for which it is intended.
  12. Before connecting the plug into an electrical socket, make sure that the voltage shown on the rating plate corresponds to the mains voltage in socket. If the voltages do not match, do not connect the device.
  13. Never use accessories that have not been supplied with the device and are not recommended by the manufacturer.
  14. Unplug the device by holding the plug, do not pull on the electric wire.
  15. Do not use the device if the power cord or plug is damaged, exchange or repair should be entrusted to a specialized service. Individual interventions in the device during the warranty period will cause loss of this warranty.
  16. Do not store or place the device, its accessories, and cord near hot surfaces.
  17. Do not spray aerosols in the vicinity of the device.
  18. This appliance is intended for household use only, do not use it in an industrial environment or outside.
  19. Keep in a dry, cool place (0-400 C), avoid exposure to sunlight.
  20. Use the unit on a clean, non-greasy, dry surface.
  21. During operation, the devise should not be set up near walls, curtains, etc.
  22. Do not place anything on top of the device.
  23. Do not place the working device on metal surfaces and window sills.
  24. Do not pour water or any other liquid on the devise. Never immerse in water or any other liquid in the lower part of the device connected to the power cord. Do not pour water or any other liquid into the devise.
  25. Do not connect the power cord to the electric sockit, if the trays are folded to the storage position. They must not be set in a storage position if they are not fully cooled.

DRYING TIPS FOR FRUITS, VEGETABLES, HERBS, FLOWERS, MEAT, AND FISH

  1. Thoroughly wash products before placing them into the device.

  2. Cut products into pieces to fit freely between trays.

  3. Remove stones or pips, seeds, rotten parts, etc.

  4. The drying time depends on the properties of individual products, the thickness of the cuts, filling of the trays.

  5. To prevent browning of fruit they can be immersed or sprayed with lemon juice or pineapple.

  6. In case of uneven products, drying replace the trays, upper one put on the bottom and botton

  7. Some products may be covered with a natural protective layer, which can extend the drying time, before drying they should be peeled off from the skin.

  8. To make pleasant smell, the friuts can be sprinkled with cinnamon or grated coconut.

  9. Vegetables with long cooking times require scalding steam before drying. To do this, place clean peeled vegetables on a sieve in a saucepan of boiling water for 1-5 minutes then pour the cold water and dry. In case of brewing in boiling water vegetables should be put for 1-2 minutes into the saucepan, then pour cold water

  10. In the case of drying herbs the best way, it is to dry only young leaves. After they dried out, store them in a glass jar in a cool and shaded area. It is not recommended to store the dried herbs in paper bags because the paper will absorb the smell and fat.

  11. In the case of drying the meat, remove the fat and cut it into oblong pieces/stripes, and marinate for 6-8 hours. Then dried without interruption until the desired effect.

  12. The fish to be dried must be very fresh. Before drying wash it and remove the bones, sprinkle it with lemon juice, and soaked in saline.
    Note: Meat and fish should be cooked beforehand, this device does not heat up to the temperature that kills bacteria and other pathogens.

  13. For drying flowers it is better to choose those which are not fully-blown, and then cut them into pieces and dried until the desired effect.

  14. Products should be well-dried to prevent microbial activity which may cause rot. Dried vegetables should be hard but brittle. Dried fruits should be leathery and soft. Products intended for long-term storage should be more dried.

STROGAE OF THE DRIED PRODUCTS

  1. The storage containers for dry food must be clean and dry.
  2. The best way to store dried products are glass jars with metal lids, left in a dark and dry place at 5-20°C.
  3. In the first week after drying, make sure that there is no moisture in the containers with dried food. If there is, it means that the products have not been completely dried out and need to be dry again. 4. The dried food must be completely cooled down before putting it into the container.

INSTRUCTION MANUAL

  1. Before first use, the devise should be switched on empty for about 30 minutes.

  2. After the device is switched off it is needed to clean it according to the chapter “ CLEAN AND MAINTENANCE

  3. Place the products on the trays (2), starting from the bottom, depending on the quantity of the product all trays can be used or only as much as is needed.

  4. Do not put wet trays with products wet, and dry before.

  5. Products can adhere to each other but they can not be put on each other and be arranged too densely.

  6. Trays should be placed in a way that there is free circulation of air between them.

  7. Place the lid (1) to cover the device, it must be there throughout the drying process.

  8. Insert the plug into the socket.

  9. Turn switch (4) to the ON position (the control light will turn on) and start drying.

  10. Choose the drying temperaturc according to the below information: – herbs and spices — 35°C
    – nuts and seeds — 41°C
    – flowers — 46°C
    – fruits and vegetables — 58°C
    – meat and fish — 68°C 11.

NOTE: The above-mentioned values are approximate and drying time may vary due to moisture, thickness, the quantity of the products, and the temperature of drying. Products that are easy to dry, can be dried in lower temperatures, and products that are difficult to dry in higher temperatures. The drying process can be terminated at any time, depending on whether the product should be dry less or more.

  1. Be very careful because the dryer lid can be very hot.

  2. When the products reach the required drying effect, turn the switch (4) on the OFF position. Allow products to cool down then place them into containers.

  3. Disconnect the device from the power supply.
    NOTE: The device is equipped with a control thermostat that automatically turns off the heater in case of overheating.

  4. Do not use the device longer than 40 hours without a break. After this time, turn the device off and leave it to cool.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Trays and lid of the unit can be washed in warm water with detergent.
  2. The housing was cleaned with a damp cloth and detergent.
  3. Dirt difficult to remove can be cleaned with a soft brush.
  4. Base with the motor can not be immersed in water or any other liquid.
  5. Do not use solvents, strong detergents, and sharp objects, as they may damage the housing of the device.

WARRANTY

  1. This warranty is issued by Esperanza sp.j. Powered with address: ul. Poznanska 129/133, 05-850 Oiarow Mazowiecki, Phone: 022-7213571 w.10 – called hereinafter Esperanza.
  2. This warranty confers upon you specific rights and remedies against Esperanza. Please read this document carefully, by making a claim under this warranty, you will be deemed to have understood and accepted its terms.
  3. Esperanza warrants that any Esperanza product together with attached accessories is free from defects in materials and workmanship under conditions of its normal use.
  4. If you make a claim under this warranty, Esperanza will, at its option, repair or replace any defective product with a new one by using new or use factory-refurbished parts. In the case of using factory-refurbished parts, they will be equal to new products.
  5. Defective products should be returned together with the receipt, a commercial invoice, or any other proof of purchase to the place of purchase. It should include all accessories attached to the original packing. Esperanza has the right to reject the warranty if any accessories will be missed.
  6. Esperanza is committed to responding to the complaint within 14 calendar days of its notification at the point of sale. Esperanza will repair the defective product in the shortest possible time. If will be a need to import from abroad any parts which are necessary to repair this time may be extended.
  7. In case of replacing a defective product with a new one, Esperanza has the right to replace it with a newer model with the same technical parameters if the old model was replaced by a new one during the warranty period.
  8. If you make claim under this warranty, you are deemed to have agreed that repair and (upon availability) replacement, as applicable, under the warranty services described herein, is your sole and exclusive remedy vis-a-vis Esperanza.

EXCLUSIONS:
This warranty does not extend to

  1. Any product not manufactured by Esperanza
  2. Any product that has been damaged or rendered defective as a result of – use it in another way than normal intended use – modification or internal interferes or changes of product – service or repair by anyone other than Esperanza service – improper store, transportation or packing – improper Installation of product or software – mechanical, physical, chemical, etc. damages
  3. In no event shall Esperanza be liable for any damages, loss of business, profits, data, or loss based on the use of Esperanza products with other devices.
  4. Products with removed warranty and other labels and products spent or have hard use marks.

All products are covered by Esperanzes’s 2-year manufacturer’s warranty while the product is purchased by the consumer (a consumer Is a person who buys a product for the purpose of not professional or commercial activity). In the case of a purchase for the company (for purposes relating to the activities professional or commercial) warranty is 1 year from the date of purchase. Esperanza products have all the necessary safety certificates required In the EU.
