Product Usage Instructions:

  1. Connect the DVB-T/T2 receiver to a power source using the provided power cable.
  2. Connect the receiver to your television using an HDMI or AV cable, depending on the available ports.
  3. Ensure that the television is set to the correct input source for the receiver.
  4. Press the power button on the receiver to turn it on.
  5. Use the remote control to navigate through the receiver’s menu and select your desired settings.
  6. To watch television channels, use the channel navigation buttons on the remote control to browse and select channels.
  7. Adjust the volume using the volume buttons on the remote control or the receiver itself.
  8. To access additional features or settings, refer to the user manual provided with the product.
  9. When finished, turn off the receiver and disconnect it from the power source.

PRECAUTIONS

Before installing and starting the device, please read this manual and follow all recommendations contained in it regarding safe handling.

  • Please keep this manual for future reference.
  • The device should be placed in a well-ventilated place, away from heat and moisture sources.
  • The device should not be installed in places where it may be sprinkled or splashed with water, e.g. in the kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, near swimming pools, etc.
  • Do not place any dishes with any liquid on the device, e.g. flowerpot.
  • Before cleaning the device, disconnect the power plug from the socket.
  • Do not clean the device with cleaning sprays or liquids – use a damp cloth for cleaning.
  • Do not disassemble or modify the device. High voltage internal components may cause an electric shock.
  • The power lead of the device has also a protective function (it is used to connect the device to the mains). For safety reasons, the power socket must always be accessible.
  • Do not use or place domestic accumulators or batteries in the remote control.
  • Do not short-circuit, disassemble or modify accumulators and batteries.
  • If the accumulator or batteries leak, change colour, deform, or emit smoke or fumes, remove it immediately from the remote control.
  • Do not allow any substance that leaks from the battery to come in contact with your eyes, skin, and clothing, as it may cause blindness or skin problems. If any leakage substance comes into contact with your eyes, skin or clothing, rinse the affected area with plenty of clean water. Do not rub the contact area. Contact a doctor immediately.
  • To avoid fire and electric shock, follow these guidelines:
    • the power plug should be inserted all the way,
    • do not grasp the power plug with wet hands,
    • when disconnecting the power plug, always grasp the plug, not the cord, do not rub, cut or bend the power cord excessively, do not twist or tie it and do not place heavy objects on it,
    • do not connect too many power plugs to one socket,
    • do not use a cord with damaged insulation.

According to Directive 2012/19/EU, disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment together with household waste is prohibited. Their components need to be recycled or disposed separately. Otherwise, they can cause the release of hazardous and noxious substances which pose a threat to the environment and human health. The law requires each consumer to return unnecessary or waste electrical and electronic equipment to the producers, sales agents or waste treatment facilities. Detailed conditions are governed by national legislation. The above symbol placed on the product, in the user manual or on the packaging refers to this requirement. Remote control

Introduction

The modern ESPERANZA DVB-T2 H.265 tuner supports free channels broadcast on digital terrestrial television in the latest H.265/HEVC technology. It is a standard that will apply in Poland since 2022. The tuner is compatible with older H.264 and MPEG-4 technologies, which are broadcasting standards in Poland until 2022.
The tuner has access to the Internet via Wi-Fi antenna connected via an USB port (the set does not include a Wi-Fi antenna). The equipment has a digital display and basic function buttons on the front panel. The tuner menu is in Polish (other languages available in menu) – it is clear, intuitive and easy to use.
ATTENTION! If you want to connect the Wi-Fi antenna to the tuner, it must work based on the MT7601 chip with a speed not higher than 1 S0Mbs.

Remote control

  • POWER :Turn the device on/off.
  • MUTE: Sound mute – press again to turn the sound on.
  • PVR LIST : Lists saved files.
  • TIMESHIFT: Press TIMESHIFT button, you can pause the TV channel, and then you can make forward and backward the channels.
  • TIMER: Set a time to record your selected channels.
  • FAV: Favourite channels are displayed, successive presses display next favourite channels.
  • PREV TRACK: Previous track while playing.
  • REV: fast backward while playing multimedia files.
  • FWD: fast forward while playing multimedia files.
  • NEXT: Next track while playing.
  • PLAY: Start playing multimedia files.
  • PAUSE PLAYING: Pause playing multimedia files.
  • STOP: Stop playing multimedia files.
  • REC: start recording.

COLOR BUTTONS
TV playing mode:

  • RED BUTTON: Opens multimedia menu.

  • GREEN BUTTON: Subtitles language selection. Subtitles on/off. YELLLOW BUTTON: Enables the teletext function. Use the EXIT button to exit teletext.

  • BLUE BUTTON: Select audio language or audio mode.
    The other modes:

  • RED BUTTON: various special functions/teletext paging.

  • GREEN BUTTON: Various special functions in the menu/teletext paging. YELLOW BUTTON: Various special functions in the menu/teletext paging. BLUE BUTTON: Various special functions in the menu/teletext paging.

  • EPG: Display of the electronic channel guide.

  • INFO: Displays information about the currently playing channel. ARROWS: Navigation buttons (up/down/left/right).

  • OK: Confirm the setting in the menu/Display the channels list.

  • MENU: Displays the receiver’s main menu.

  • EXIT: exit from any function.

  • VOL-NOL+: Volume control.

  • PAGE+/PAGE-: Page up/page down.

  • CH+/CH-: Channel change.

  • < 0>-<9>: Numeric buttons – entering the appropriate digit allows you to switch to the selected program.

  • TV/RADIO:: Switches between watching TV and listening to radio channels.

  • RECALL: Return to the last selected menu.

Installing the batteries in the remote control

To install the batteries in the remote control, open the cap on the back of the remote control and insert two AAA batteries. Please observe the polarity of the batteries according to the marked direction.

Using the remote control

To use the remote control, point it towards the front of the receiver. The remote control has a range of approximately 7m from the receiver within a 60° angle.

The remote control will not work properly if the signal between it and the receiver is blocked by an obstacle.

NOTE!
Direct sunlight or artificial fluorescent lighting can reduce the range of the remote control.

Connecting the receiver

  • HDMI: If the TV in use has an HDMI input connector, connect the HDMI cable. The use of an HDMI cable will allow to achieve the highest quality of video/audio signal transmission in digital form. The audio signal can also be transmit­ted in Dolby Digital format.
  • SCART: If the TV set is equipped with an analogue connector only, connect the TV set to the tuner with a SCA RT cable. The use of a SCA RT cable will not achieve the same quality of the transmitted signal as when using a digital HDMI cable.
  • COAXIAL: Used to connect an audio amplifier and transmit digital audio.
  • USB port: Used for connecting WiFi dongle or USB storage devices.

To search for channels, press the MENU button on the remote control and select the icon

  1. Search mode. Channel search mode setting. Choice of DVB-T2 or DVB-C.
  2. Only uncoded. Sets to search for only free to air (FTA) channels or all channels.
  3. Auto search. Automatic search for all channels. If the decoder had previously encoded channels, an additional message “Delete all channels?” Will appear. Answer YES.

Troubleshooting

The order of correct connection of the decoder Connect the antenna to the set- top box. Connect the cable (HDMI or SCART) to the set-top box. Connect the HDMI or SCART cable to the TV. Select the correct input source (HDMI or SCART) on the TV. Connect the set-top box to the power supply.

WARRANTY

  1. This warranty is issued by EDC Poterek Sp. Jawna with address: ul. Poznanska 129/133, 05-850 Ozarów Mazowiecki, Phone: 022-7213571 w.10 – called hereinafter Esperanza.
  2. This warranty confers upon you specific rights and remedies against EDC Poterek Sp. Jawna. Please read this document carefully, by making a claim under this warranty, you will be deemed to have under- stood and accept its terms.
  3. Esperanza warrants that any Esperanza product together with attached accessories is free from defects in materials and workmanship under conditions of its normal use.
  4. If you make a claim under this warranty, Esperanza will, at its option, repair or replace any defective product into new one by using new or use factory-refurbished parts. In case of using factory- refurbished parts they will be equal to new products.
  5. The defective product should be returned together with receipt, commercial invoice or any other proof of purchase to the place of purchase. It should include all accessories attached in original packing. Esperanza has right to reject warranty if any accessories will be missed.
  6. EDC Poterek Sp. Jawna covers the costs of delivery of the goods complained about to the place indicated in the guarantee.
  7. EDC Poterek Sp. Jawna is committed to respond to the complaint within 14 calendar days of its notification in the point of sale. EDC Poterek Sp. Jawna will repair the defective product in the shortest possible time. If will be need to import from abroad of any parts which are necessary to repair this time may be extended.
  8. If in the performance of its duties EDC Poterek Sp. Jawna provided the entitled person with a warranty instead of a defective item free from defects or made significant repairs to the item covered by the warranty, the warranty period runs anew from the moment of delivery of the item free from defects or returning the repaired item. If EDC Poterek Sp. Jawa mentioned a part of things, the above provision shall apply accordingly to the part mentioned. In other cases, the warranty period is extended by the time during which, as a result of a defect in the item covered by the warranty, the holder of the warranty could not use it.
  9. In case of replacing defective product onto new one, Esperanza has right to replace it with newer model with the same technical parameters if the old one model was replaced by new one during warranty period.
  10. If you make claim under this warranty, you are deemed to have agreed that repair and (upon avail- ability) replacement, as applicable, under the warranty services described herein, is your sole and exclusive remedy vis-a-vis Esperanza.
  11. The warranty is valid in Poland.

EXCLUSIONS

This warranty does not extend to:

  1. Any product not manufactured by EDC Poterek Sp. Jawna
  2. Any product that has been damaged or rendered defective as a result of:
    • use it in other way than normal intended use
    • service or repair by anyone other than Esperanza service
    • improper store, transportation or packing improper installation of product or software mechanical, physical, chemical etc. damages
  3. In no event shall EDC Poterek Sp. Jawna be diable for any damages, loss of business, profits, data or loss based on use EDC Poterek Sp. Jawna products with other devices.
  4. Products with removed warranty and other labels and products spent or have hard use marks.
    All products are covered by EDC Poterek Sp. Jawna 2-year manufacturer’s warranty while product is purchased by the consumer (the consumer is a person who buys product for the purpose of not professional or commercial activity). In the case of purchase for the company (for purposes relating to the activities of professional or commercial) warranty is 1 year from date of purchase. EDC Poterek Sp. Jawna products have all the necessary safety certificates required in the EU.
