Product Usage Instructions

  • Installation
    • Loosen the fixing screw located at the bottom of the thermostat to remove the front panel from the back panel.
    • Connect the thermostat according to the wiring diagram.
    • Insert the back panel into the wall box with the screws provided.
    • Align the top part of the front panel with the back panel and connect them back together, then replace the fixing screw at the bottom.
  • Thermostat Controls
    • On/Off: Press 1 to turn On/Off. Note: When frost protection is active, the thermostat will maintain the frost protection temperature when on standby.
    • Manual Temperature Override: Temporarily override the current temperature by pressing to set the temporary override temperature. Press O to confirm.
    • Key-Lock: Lock all keys by pressing and holding r for 3 seconds to prevent settings from being changed.
    • Brightness: Change display brightness by navigating to Setting, selecting Brightness, and adjusting brightness levels.
    • Set the Time: Navigate to Setting, select Time, and set the day, hour, and minute accordingly.

    • How do I adjust the temperature settings?
    • To adjust the temperature settings, press to set the desired temperature and press O to confirm.
    • Can I program different temperatures for different times of the day?
    • Yes, you can set a 7-day schedule with different temperature settings for each period.

Introduction

The DT-two is an intuitive programmable thermostat used to control your underfloor heating. Featuring a colour screen, 7-day schedule and open window technology, it will keep your home at a comfortable temperature whilst minimising energy use.

INSTALLATION

  1. Loosen the fixing screw located at the bottom of the thermostat to remove the front panel from the back panel.
  2. Connect the thermostat according to the wiring diagram.
  3. Insert the back panel into the wall box with the screws provided.
  4. Align the top part of the front panel with the back panel and connect them back together, then replace the fixing screw at the bottom.

  • FLOOR SENSOR- The floor sensor must be installed in conduit to enable replacement (available separately) and validate your thermostat warranty.
  • Suggestion: Please keep the max load around 90% of 16A to prolong the lifetime.

Function & Operation

  1. On/Off
    • Press to turn On/Off. Note: When frost protection is active, the thermostat will maintain the frost protection temperature when on standby.
  2. Manual Temperature Override
    • You can temporarily override the current temperature, if this is done it will only be for the current timed period and will not be saved. To override the current temperature, with the temperature showing, press to set the temporary override temperature.
    • Press O to confirm and return to the displayed temperature.
  3. Key-Lock
    • Lock all keys to prevent the settings from being changed. On the actual temperature interface, press and hold for 3 seconds to lock or unlock all the keys.
  4. Brightness
    • Change the brightness of the display.
    • On the actual temperature interface, press O to enter the Setting on the thermostat.
    • Press to select Brightness.
    • Press O to enter Brightness.
    • Press to set brightness.
    • Press O to go back to Setting.
  5. Set the Time
    • On the actual temperature interface, press O to enter the Setting on the thermostat.
    • Press to select Time.
    • Press O to enter Set Day.
    • Press to set day.
    • Press O to enter Set Hour.
    • Press to set hour.
    • Press O to enter Set Minute.
    • Press to set the minute.
    • Press O to back to Set Day.
    • If the thermostat is connected to WiFi, it will update the time automatically after connecting to the internet.
  6. Holiday Mode
    • In Holiday Mode, the thermostat will maintain the set temperature until the holiday time ends.
    • On the actual temperature interface, press O to enter the Setting on the thermostat.
    • Press O to enter Mode.
    • Press to select Holiday Mode.
    • Press O to enter Set Days.
    • Press to set days.
    • Press O to enter Set Temperature.
    • Press to set the temperature.
    • Press O to back to the actual temperature interface.
  7. Hold Mode
    • In Hold Mode, the thermostat will hold the set temperature until you cancel this mode.
    • On the actual temperature interface, press O to enter the Setting on the thermostat.
    • Press O to enter Mode.
    • Press to select Hold Mode.
    • Press O to enter Set Temperature.
    • Press to set the temperature.
    • Press O to back to the actual temperature interface.
  8. Edit Settings
    • Edit settings can set and change the parameters. “If you choose Auto Mode, the thermostat runs according to the parameters of Edit Setting.
    • On the actual temp interface, press O to enter the Setting on the thermostat.
    • Press to select Edit Setting.
    • Press O to enter Select Day.
    • Press to select a day.
    • Press O to enter Select Event.
    • Press to select an event.
    • Press O to enter Start Time-Hour.
    • Press to select start time-hour.
    • Press O to enter Start Time-minute.
    • Press to select start time-minute.

Advanced Settings

  • The thermostat provides Advanced Settings to suit various situations. The Advanced Settings menu is where the master settings of the thermostat are changed, normally only by the installer or if advised by Amber.
  • On the actual temperature interface, press O to enter the Setting on the thermostat.
  • Press to select Advanced Setting.
  • Press O to enter Advanced Setting.
  • Each parameter can be accessed by pressing O and adjusting the values as required.

  1. Room Temp Calibration: Calibrate the room temp detected by the room sensor.
  2. Floor Temp Calibration: Calibrate the floor temp detected by the floor sensor.
  3. Anti-frozen Switch: This option allows you to turn frost protection on / off.
  4. Anti-frozen Temperature: Adjust the frost protection trigger temperature.
  5. Floor temperature limit: If you choose both sensors, the floor temperature limit must be set to protect the floor.
  6. Temperature Tolerance: The value is 1°C. The thermostat will start to heat when the actual temperature is 1°C lower than the set temperature and stop heating when the actual temperature is 1°C higher than the set temperature.
  7. °F / °C: °C and °F can be selected.
  8. Sensor selection:
    • Floor sensor: Floor sensor must be used when the thermostat is used with electric underfloor heating or is not installed in the same room as the heated floor.
    • Room sensor: The heating is controlled with the air sensor only.
    • Both sensors: Controlling room temperature with floor temperature limitation as per floor temperature limit above.
  9. Schedule: Select a weekly timer schedule.
  10. There are two options: each day from Mon to Sun can be set individually. 5+1+1: 5 days from Mon to Fri have the same events, Sat and Sun can be set individually.
  11. Time delay: This option is a time delay should you inadvertently make a change that you wish to reverse.
  12. Adaptive function: After several days of installation and use, the Adaptive function ensures that the required temperature has already been reached when the next event begins.
  13. Open window: This function only works when the room sensor or air sensor is selected. The thermostat with this function will shut off automatically for 15 minutes if it detects a sudden drop in temperature.
  14. Language: There are four languages: English/German/Spanish/French.
  15. Power Set & Energy Use: This option allows you to enter the various data used to calculate energy use. Then use this information to calculate electricity consumption.
  16. Sensor type: This option allows floor sensor type selection if replacing a 3rd party thermostat and cannot replace the existing floor sensor. Please ensure B3950-10K is selected if using the sensor that came in the box with this thermostat.
  17. Factory Reset: All parameters are restored to default values.

Troubleshooting

  • Air sensor error: Please contact our technical team.
  • Floor sensor error: Please check the floor sensor is connected correctly, refer to page 6 wiring diagram. If you are not using a floor sensor, please select Room sensor only from the sensor selection menu.
