FS-U4-Pro Description:

FS-U4-Pro is a PCI Express to 4-Ports 5Gbps USB 3.0 expansion card. The 4X added-on USB-A ports will light up 4X USB 3.0 devices. These 4X USB-A ports will share 5Gb -ps total bandwidth. Built-in FebSmart Self-Powered Techno -logy, specially designed for high power consumption USB 3.0 devices such as industrial cameras, VR systems, USB 3.0 HDD/SSD enclosures, and VR sensors. lt also works will normal USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 devices such as USB mice, USB headphones, USB flash drives, USB speakers, USB keyboards, USB universal docking stations, USB hubs, USB KVM switches, etc. Based on RENESAS NEC 5Gbps USB 3.0 host controller will be compatible with most Windows and Linux systems. PCI-E X1 design will work for me. PCI-E X1 .X2,X4.X8.X16 slot.Mounted full-size bracket on the PCI-E USB card, will work on standard-size PCs only, do not support slim PCs.

FS-U3C2-Pro Description:

FS-U3C242Pro is a PCI Express to 5-Ports 5Gbps USB 3.0 expansion card. Provide 3X USB-A pods and 2X USB-C ports on the user’s PC. The 3X USB-A ports and the 2X USB-C ports will light up 3X USB-A devices and 2X USB-C devices. These 5X USB ports will share 5Gbps total bandwidth. Built-in FebSmart Self- Powered Technology. specially designed for high power consumption USB 3.0 devices such as USB 3.0 HDD/SSD enclosures, industrial cameras, VR systems, and VR sensors. lt also works with normal USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 devices such as USB headphones, USB flash drives, USB speakers, USB mice, USB keyboards, USB hubs, universal docking stations, USB KVM switches, etc. Based on the RENESAS NEC 5Gbps USB 3.0 host controller and RENE -MS NEC USB 3.0 hub controller, it will be compatible with most Windows and Unix systems. FebSmart Self-Powered Technology:

FebSmart Self-Powered Technology is a new solution to add more power supply to USB expansion cards. The old version of PCI Express USB cards needs to plug a power cable from the desktop computer’s power supply unit. Sometimes even though users put power cables on the computer power supply unit, it still drops speed due to power limitations. Steps 1, Switch OFF the PC, unplug the computer from the main socket, and unplug the power cord and other connected peripherals. Remove the cover from the computer case.
Step2 , Find the correct PCI Express slot from the motherboard and insert a USB 3.0 card into an empty PCI-E slot.
Step3, Reattach the computer cover and put back the removed peripherals, power on a desktop computer.
Check If USB Card Was Detected on PCs:

  1. Users can plug in universal USB devices such as USB flash drives, keyboards, mice, etc. Check if the computer can find these devices. if the system read USB devices, means no need to install a driver that can use these added-on USB 3.0 ports now
  2. Find this added on USB card hardware in the Windows system “Device Manager and check if the system read it.

A, Means PCs find hardware correctly, and need to install the driver.
B, Means USB card hardware was detected correctly and the system loaded the driver already, users can use it now.
C.Means PCs can not find the added-on USB card and do not load the driver for the USB card. Users need to re-plug the USB card or motherboard PCI-E slot, and better change to an active PCI-E slot for the USB card.

Install Driver on Desktop PCs:

  1. FS-1_14-Pro and FS-U3C2-Pro are based on Renesas NE( host controller.These models share the same installation steps on Windows 11,10,8.1,8,7,XP (32164bit) and Window: Server 2003,2003R2,2008,2008R2,2012,2012R2,2016, 2019,2022 (32/64bit) systems.
  2. Windows 11,10,8.1,8 (32164bit) and Windows server 20t 201282.2016,2019,2022 will load driver automatically.LF It can not read on the user’s system or read ‘Unknown Device in Windows “Device Manager with ‘Error Code 10”, users better change to another PCI-E slot for this USB card.
  3. Windows XP, Vista,7 (32/64bit) and Windows server 2003,2003R2,2008,2008R2 (32764bit) system will read as “Unknown Device” in ‘Device Manager”, users need to install drivetaftenvards it will work.
  4. FS-U4-Pro and FS-U3C2-Pro support plug-and-play on most mainstream Linux kernel systems.

Step1, Users can download the driver from our site www.febsmart.com, then release the ZIP file. find the “Setup.exe”.
Step2, Complete driver installation.

  1. Double right-click “Setup.exe” and wait for the files ready to install.

User FAQs:

1.  How many USB 3.0 devices will be lighted simultaneously?****

– Actually with FebSmart’s Self-Powered technology. users can light up high;
– CYAN consumption devices in all added-on USB ports.

2. Why do USB devices deliver slower speeds than USB 3.0 design speeds?****

– The USB 3.0 design speed 5Gbps/625M88 is a theoretical speed, normal users’ devices can not reach the test conditions* the real connection speed will be less than 625MB/S.

3. Why we USB 3.0 HDO/SSD enclosures running at low speed?****

– When PCs use NVME/SATA 3.0 SSD disks, the USB 3.0 HDD/SSID enclosure’s last speed will be affected by the Inside HOD or SSD.
– SATA 3.0 SSC* will get over 300M13/S,SATA 3.0 HODS will get about 100- 200M8/S.When using SATA 2.0 HDOs.speed will be less than 100MB/S.

4. Why do USB flash drives get a very low speed?****

– Check if the flash drive is designed on USB 2.0 or USB 3.0. The USB 2.0 flash drives will get a USG 2.0 speed.
– The USB 3.0 flash drives had one read speed and one write speed when it was produced. Even though the manufacturer dein it is a USB 3.0 flash drive, they may only design the read speed on USB 3.0 but the write speed is much smaller.
– The real test speed will be also affected by the user’s PC’s disk type when copying In files.
– The PC with SSOs test speed will be faster than the PC with HDDs.

5. Do these Use ports add support for external USB hubs?****
