Replace the batteries when the power and/or the sound of the pump weakens during the use of the device.
-
It is recommended that you remove the batteries if the device will not be used for a period of time.
-
Pressing and holding the power button starts the device and generates vacuum for the removal of nasal secretions and mucus. To stop the suction, simply release the power button to turn it off.
-
Only a few seconds of suction at a time are necessary.
-
This Nasal Aspirator is for cleaning/removal of nasal secretions only. Do not use this device other than for its intended purposes.
-
During the use of the device, the baby/child should not hold their breath, close their mouth or swallow. This will help to avoid vacuum pressure resulting in an eardrum pressure imbalance.
-
If the baby/child does not feel well when using the device, stop and consult a doctor immediately.

Product Overview
Battery Installation/Replacement
Recommended battery type – alkaline, size AA 1.5 VDC.
Change batteries when product ceases to operate satisfactorily.
- Loosen Battery Cover Screw and remove the battery cover as shown below.
- Requires two 1.5V alkaline AA size batteries (included).
- Clean the battery ends as well as the contacts in the device prior to installing or re-installing batteries (use a cotton swab slightly dampened with rubbing alcohol).
- Insert two new batteries being careful to match the correct polarities (+ and -).
- Firmly press the batteries to make sure they are completely inserted.
- Replace the battery cover making sure to insert Tab into Notch and then press until the cover clicks into place. Tighten the screw.
- When changing the batteries, use batteries of the same type, make and capacity.
- Always replace both batteries at the same time.
- Never mix alkaline, standard carbon-zinc or rechargeable batteries in the same device. Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Use batteries free of heavy metals.
- Dispose of used batteries in accordance to your state and local regulations. Never dispose of batteries in the normal household waste.
- Keep the batteries out of children’s reach.
- Batteries may leak battery acid; if mixed with a different battery type, 1 if inserted incorrectly (put in backwards) or 2 f all batteries are not replaced or recharged at the same time.
- Batteries may explode or leak battery acid if disposed of in fire or when charging a battery that is not specifically made to be recharged. Never recharge a cell of one type ina recharger made for a cell of another type.
- Discard leaky batteries immediately. They can cause skin burns or other injury. When discarding batteries, be sure to dispose of them in the proper manner, according to your state and local regulations.
- Always remove batteries before storing or if product will not be used for a prolonged period of time. Batteries left in the unit may leak and cause damage.
Instruction for Use
- There are two Tips to choose from. The large tip is recommended for use when the mucus is in a thicker, more solid form. The narrow tip is recommended for use when the mucus is loose and in a liquid form or when nostril opening is smaller.
- Be sure to place the tip securely on the aspirator. The Tipmust completely cover the rib before using.
- Hold the baby/child upright and insert the tip into the nostril until the tip seals the nostril. Be careful not to place the tip too far into the nostril or press against the inside wall of the nostril.
- Press and hold the power button to activate and allow the suction to clear the mucus. Only a few seconds of suction at a time are necessary. Repeat in the other nostril or as needed.
HELPFUL HINTS:
- If needed, block the opposite nostril for more effective suctioning.
- A small amount of saline mist may help to loosen thicker mucus.
- Opening the baby/child’s mouth will help reduce ear pressure discomfort.
Note: The mucus may not immediately appear in the collection cup. After each use we recommend a quick cleaning of the used tip by removing it from the unit and thoroughly rinsing under warm tap.
Care and Cleaning
-
Separate the suction portion from the base of the aspirator by gently pulling it apart.
-
Unscrew collection cup by turning it counter clockwise.
-
Remove white rubber ring located where collection cup screws in.
-
Cleaning the Base: Wipe the unit with a clean soft drycloth.

80 MHz to

no closer to any part of the NS14 Nasal Aspirator, including cables, than the
recommended separation distance calculated from the equation applicable to the
frequency of the transmitter.
Recommended separation distance d=1.2 P d=1.2 P 80 MHz to 800 MHZ d=2.3 P
800 MHZ to 2,5 GHz where P is the maximum output power rating of the
transmitter in watts (W) according to the transmitter manufacturer and d is
the recommended separation distance in meters (m).
Field strengths from fixed RF transmitters, as determined by an
electromagnetic site survey³, should be less than the compliance level in each
frequency range Interference may occur in the vicinity of
equipment marked with the following symbol:
NOTE 1 At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the higher frequency range applies.
NOTE 2 These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic
propagation is affected by absorption and reflection from structures, objects
and people.
a. Field strengths from fixed transmitters, such as base stations for radio
(cellular/cordless) telephones and land mobile radios, amateur radio, AM and
FM radio broadcast and TV broadcast cannot be predicted theoretically with
accuracy. To assess the electromagnetic environment due to fixed RF
transmitters, an electromagnetic site survey should be considered. If the
measured field strength in the location in which the NS14 Nasal Aspirator is
used exceeds the applicable RF compliance level above, the NS14 Nasal
Aspirator should be observed to verify normal operation. If abnormal
performance is observed, additional measures may be necessary, such as
reorienting or relocating the NS14 Nasal Aspirator.
b. Over the frequency range 150 kHz to 80 MHz, field strengths should be less
than 3 V/m.
Recommended separation distances between portable and mobile RF communications
equipment and the NS14 Nasal Aspirator
The NS14 Nasal Aspirator is intended for use in an electromagnetic environment
in which radiated RF disturbances are controlled. The customer or the user of
the NS14 Nasal Aspirator can help prevent electromagnetic interference by
maintaining a minimum distance between portable and mobile RF communications
equipment (transmitters) and the NS14 Nasal Aspirator as recommended below,
according to the maximum output power of the communications equipment.
Rated maximum
Output power of
Transmitter W| Separation distance according to frequency of transmitter m
---|---

100| 12| 12| 23
For transmitters rated at a maximum output power not listed above, the
recommended separation distance d in meters (m) can be estimated using the
equation applicable to the frequency of the transmitter, where P is the
maximum output power rating of the transmitter in watts (W) according to the
transmitter manufacturer.
NOTE 1 At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the separation distance for the higher
frequency range applies.
NOTE 2 These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic
propagation is affected by absorption and reflection from structures, objects
and people.
