Notes
- If used, the front camera will show up after reverse, it will stay on for 15 seconds / 8 mph / touch the screen/press SWC mode
- The image size may vary for some radios, so during the installation, adjust it from ZZPLAY SETUP: MODULE SETUP > CARPLAY/AA SETUP > LEFT, RIGHT, TOP AND BOTTOM ADJUST
- The display adjustments (brightness, saturation, contrast) may vary for some radios so during the installation need to adjust it on the: MODULE SETUP > SYSTEM INFORMATION > DISPLAY
- As the radios displays are sensitive to very white images, verify that the display adjustment are proper: open maps and zoom in until most part of the display is white, and check if the display is showing everything without flicker. If not, decrease display adjustments (brightness, saturation, contrast) as necessary.
- Youtube app is still under development and will not function properly until further notice.
- This unit is designed to be used independent from the OE radios Bluetooth system. Once installed, delete the phone from the radio and also delete the radio from the phone Bluetooth connections list. OEM BT should be OFF by default in the ZZPLAY options menu.
Required Setup adjustments
After the system is installed an functioning, due to the various amount of Toyota screens, the scrap settings must be set and brightness may need adjustment .
SCREEN SIZE SETTINGS: Go to ZZPLAY Module Setup>Carplay/AA Setup and it will show adjustments for bringing the edge of the CarPlay/AA image to fit the current screen. Bring them in enough (and check on CarPlay/AA) so you see 100% of the image (rounded corners on CarPlay), but also so that you maximize the size of the image. Failure to do this may result in a flickering issue in some instances.
DISPLAY BRIGHTNESS SETTING: Go to ZZPLAY Module Setup System Information Brightness. For most screens, brightness must be set to 3 beneath center, and contrast must be set (1) beneath center. If the screen is still to bright to the point that flickering occurs, start over with these adjustments with DIP 8 OFF. Check mapping screens with lots of white in the image, this is where flickering will occur.
- Due to the nature of a composite video format image, the screen is sometimes too white, if the screen starts flashing (brightness up and down quickly) need to increase “TOP ADJUST” (MODULE SETUP > CARPLAY/AA SETUP) and decrease brightness, saturation and contrast (MODULE SETUP > SYSTEM INFORMATION > DISPLAY)
