Product Usage Instructions

Standard Setup

  1. Connect the SVT-3PRO to a power source with the appropriate voltage (110/115V or 230V).
  2. Replace the fuse with the same type and rating to reduce the risk of fire.
  3. Connect the speaker cabinet to the speaker outputs. Use cabinets with matching impedance (8 ohms or 4 ohms).
  4. Connect any additional equipment such as effects pedals or a tuner using the effects loop, tuner out, or preamp out connectors.
  5. If desired, connect a footswitch to control specific functions of the SVT-3PRO.

Parallel Setup

  1. Follow steps 1-3 of the standard setup instructions.
  2. Connect multiple speaker cabinets in parallel to the speaker outputs. Make sure all cabinets have the same impedance (8 ohms or 4 ohms).
  3. Continue with steps 4-5 of the standard setup instructions.

Daisy Chaining

  1. Follow steps 1-3 of the standard setup instructions.
  2. Connect the first speaker cabinet to the speaker outputs.
  3. Connect the second speaker cabinet to the first cabinet using a speaker cable.
  4. Repeat step 3 for additional cabinets.
  5. Continue with steps 4-5 of the standard setup instructions.

Mono-Bridged Setup:

  1. Connect the SVT-4PRO to a power source with the appropriate voltage (110/115V or 230V).
  2. Replace the fuse with the same type and rating to reduce the risk of fire.
  3. Connect the speaker cabinet to the mono bridge input or the low input for mono bridge operation. Make sure the impedance matches (4 ohms for mono or 8 ohms for dual).
  4. Set the mono-bridge switch to “IN”.
  5. Continue with steps 4-5 of the standard setup instructions.

Dual Mono Setup:

  1. Follow steps 1-3 of the mono-bridged setup instructions.
  2. Connect a second speaker cabinet to the high input or the low input for dual operation. Make sure the impedance matches (4 ohms for mono or 8 ohms for dual).
  3. Set the mono-bridge switch to “OUT”.
  4. Continue with steps 4-5 of the standard setup instructions.

Bi-Amp Setup

  1. Connect the SVT-4PRO to a power source with the appropriate voltage (110/115V or 230V).
  2. Replace the fuse with the same type and rating to reduce the risk of fire.
  3. Connect the speaker cabinet to the high input for bi-amp operation.
  4. Continue with steps 4-5 of the standard setup instructions.

  1. 1/4″ Inputs: Connect a passive or active instrument to the Input jack.
  2. Peak/Mute LED : Indicates when the input signal is clipping or when the Mute is engaged.
  3. Mute Switch : Mutes all outputs except for the Tuner Out.
  4. Pad : Reduces input level by 15 dB.
  5. Gain Knob : Varies the intensity of the signal sent to the preamplifier.
  6. Ultra Hi/Ultra Lo Switches : Boosts high or low frequencies.
  7. EQ Knobs : Boost or cut the levels at certain frequencies to enhance the sound.
  8. Tube Gain : Varies the intensity of the signal sent to the preamp tubes.
  9. Master Knob: Controls the overall speaker output and headphone levels.
  10. Crossover Adjustment Knobs : Controls the frequency and balance when in Bi-Amp mode.
  11. Power Switch/Power LED : Turns power on or off. LED indicates power on or off.
  12. Compression: Controls the amount of compression applied to the input signal.
  13. EQ Switch/LED : When engaged, the 9-Band Equalizer is active.
  14. 9-Band Graphic EQ : Boost or cut the levels at set frequencies to enhance the sound.
  15. Bright Switch : Boosts high frequencies.
  16. Line Out Level : Varies the level of signal sent to the Transformer Balanced Line Outputs.
  17. Limit Defeat : Allows the internal Limiter to be turned off.
  18. Effects Bypass : Bypasses the Effects Loop.
  19. Limit LED : Illuminates when the signal triggers the internal Limiter.
  20. Input Power Connector : Input socket for power cable connection.
  21. Speaker Outputs : Speakon® / 1/4″ TS outputs for connecting speaker cabinets.

Getting Started

  1. Read and understand the included “Important Safety Instructions.”
  2. Make sure the power switch is off before making any connections.
  3. Push the line cord securely into the amplifier’s IEC connector and plug the other end into a grounded AC outlet. The amplifier may accept the appropriate voltage as indicated near the IEC connector.
  4. Connect an instrument to the SVT-3PRO/SVT-4PRO Input jack with a 1/4″ (shielded) instrument cable. Connect (non-shielded) speaker cables to speaker cabinets with 1/4″ TS or Speakon ends depending on model.
  5. With all volume controls fully off, turn the amplifier on by pressing the Power Switch to the on position.
  6. While playing the instrument, adjust the Gain and Master controls to the preferred level.
  7. Adjust the EQ knobs to taste.
