BESTEK MRJ1011 Wifi Smart Plug User Manual

Introduction

This WiFi smart plug has one American standard plug, one American standard AC outlet and 2 USB ports, the total power is 1250W. The 2 USB ports are featured with smart charging technology which can detect the type and model of devices automatically, and output the most suitable and fastest charging current. This plug could be controlled by the phone app, it supports the WIFI wireless network, and you can know the working state of electric appliances via the phone app. You can connect several WiFi smart plugs to the phone app, and control all of the electric appliances via your phone!

Meaning of different state of the indicator

Indicator state Explanation Operating Mode
Rapid blink Wifi fast connection mode(Smartconfig). Connect the WiFi plug to

the outlet, and long press the switch for 10 sec, then it begins to rapid blink.
Slow blink| If it is failed to connect to WiFi in fast connection mode, you need to enter AP mode to reconnect. In AP mode, the indicator will blink slowly| In rapid blink mode, long press the switch for 10 sec, then it begins to blink slowly.
Light on| Wifi connect successfully, AC outlet working.| –
Light off| No current output.| –

Usage method

  1. Scan the QR code to download the phone app.

Register

  • Connect the WiFi plug to the outlet, then long press the switch for 10 sec, the indicator begins to rapid blink. Then, open the app click Register –then Next. choose your region–input your phone number
  • You will receive one identifying code, and input it in the first blank. Then input your password in the second blank. Click Confirm then Allow to finish the register. Adding a New Device in Quick Connection

Connection

  • Make sure the Wi-Fi smart device is standby (the red light button flash is 2 times per second if the smart device is plug or switch) after plug in the socket. otherwise, you should press the power button keep to 5. seconds to reset the device. (for plug or switch). Bulb should be turned on/off the power in 3 times continuously. The smart Wi-Fi devices only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi router. No Device
  • Open app and click Add devices to add device.
  • Select Wi-Fi network, input Wi-Fi password, connect and click,
  • Once connected the app will prompt the connection, and click Done to start to use.

Safety precautions

  1. Please check whether device is powered one.

  2. Whether phone is connected via Wi-Fi.

  3. Whether device is ready for configuration. To get the device ready before configuration, normally you can manually press on the device to get it ready. Notice Each time to add device, reset Wi-FI to get Device ready for configuration and make sure router is working properly.

  4. Check routers or related: If router is dual-band router, select 2.4GHz network and add device. you also need to enable touter’s broadingcasting function.
    Set up wireless router: Set encryption method as WPA2-PSK and authorization type as AES, or set both as auto. Wireless mode cannot be 11n only. Don’t use Chinese to name router Wi-Fi. To stay Strong Wi-Fi signal, please keep device and touter within certain distance. Whether connected devices have reached the Maximum number of router’s connection. If so, please try by turning off the WI-FI connection of some device.
    Router’s wireless MAC filtering function is enabled. Remove the device from the filter list and make sure that router is not prohibiting device from connection.

  5. Make sure the password entered is APP is correct when adding new device.

  1. Open “Alexa App”, click Home. then click Skills (As below highlighted).

  2. Input Smart Life” to search all column, click search (See below highlighted).

  3. Click “Smart Life and Enter.

  5. Select your country input your “Smart Life” App account and password which you have registered. (Attention: this is not the account and password of Alexa App). Click Link Now.

Alexa Skils:

Now, you can use Echo to control more different smart plugs. Like Alexa, turn on the living room/Alexa, turn on the dining room. Alexa will turn on different devices separtely. When you say Alexa, turn off the living room/Alexa, turn off the dining room. Alexa will turn off the different devices separately.

Now you can control your smart devices through Google Home. Take bedroom light as the example, the supported voice commands are as below: Ok Google, turn on/off bedroom light. You can also use it to control other appliances.
