Remote Keyless Entry Transmitter (Key Fob)\

  • Lock
    Press to lock all doors.

  • Unlock
    Press to unlock the driver’s door. Press again to unlock all doors.

  • Trunk
    Press twice to open the trunk.

  • Vehicle Locator/Panic Alarm
    Press and release to locate your vehicle. The exterior lamps will flash and the horn will sound. Press and hold to activate the alarm. Press it again to cancel the alarm.

  • Door Key
    Press the button on the back of the transmitter to pull out the door key. Note: To change the remote lock, unlock, and remote start settings, go to Remote Lock, Unlock, and Start in the Vehicle Settings menu.

  • Remote Vehicle Start
    Press and release the Lock button and then immediately press and hold the button until the turn signal lamps flash to start the engine from outside the vehicle. After entering the vehicle, turn on the ignition.

  • During a remote start, the engine will run for 10 minutes. Repeat these steps to run the engine for an additional 10 minutes. A remote start can be extended once.

  • Press and hold the button until the parking lamps turn off to cancel a remote start.

Remote Start and Heated/Vented SeatsF
Select the remote start heated or vented seat option in the Vehicle Settings to have the heated/vented seats turn on during a remote start. The seat button indicators do not illuminate and the temperature performance of the unoccupied seat may be reduced during a remote start.

Keyless Access System

The Keyless Access System enables the operation of the doors, ignition and trunk without removing the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter from your pocket or purse. The transmitter must be within 3 feet of the door being unlocked or the trunk.
Keyless Unlocking
With the transmitter within range:

  • Press the lock button on the driver’s door handle to unlock the driver’s door; press it again within 5 seconds to unlock all doors.
  • Press the lock button on a passenger door handle to unlock all doors.
  • Press the bottom of the Buick emblem above the license plate to open the trunk.

Keyless Locking

With the ignition off, the transmitter was removed from the vehicle, and all doors closed:

  • Press the lock button on any door handle to lock all doors immediately.
  • If Passive Locking is turned on, all doors will lock automatically after a short delay.

Note: To change the Keyless Locking and Unlocking settings, go to Remote Lock, Unlock, and Start in the Vehicle Settings menu.

Keyless (Pushbutton) Start

Start the Engine

  • With the vehicle in Park or Neutral, press the brake pedal and then press the ENGINE START/STOP button to start the engine. The green indicator on the but-ton will illuminate.

Note: The transmitter must be in the vehicle to turn on the ignition. If the transmitter battery is weak, place the transmitter in the pocket in the centre console storage area to enable the engine to start. Replace the transmitter battery as soon as possible.

Stopping the Engine/Off

  • With the vehicle stopped, press the Park (P) button on top of the shift lever to shift into Park. Press the ENGINE START/STOP button to turn off the engine.Power will be available for 10 minutes to operate the audio system until the driver’s door is opened and to operate the windows and sunroof until any door is opened.

Accessory Mode

  • With the engine off and the brake pedal NOT depressed, press the ENGINE START/STOP button to place the ignition system in the accessory mode. The amber indicator on the button will illuminate.

Auto Engine Stop/Start

A fuel-saving stop/start system has been integrated with the engine. While driving, when the brake pedal is applied and the vehicle is at a complete stop, the automatic engine stop/start system may turn off the engine, depending on operating conditions. When the engine is off, the tachometer gauge will read AUTO STOP. Upon releasing the brake pedal or applying the accelerator pedal, the engine will restart. After parking the vehicle and turning off the engine, the tachometer gauge will read OFF.
The engine may remain running or restart if:

  • A minimum vehicle speed is not reached.
  • The engine or transmission is not at the required operating temperature.
  • The outside temperature is not in the required operating range.
  • The shift lever is in any gear other than Drive (D).
  • The battery charge is low or the battery has been disconnected.
  • The current climate control or defog settings have not been reached.
  • The Auto Stop time is greater than 2 minutes.

Front Seats

Power Seat Adjustment

  • A. Seat Adjustment
    Move the horizontal control to move the seat forward or rearward and to tilt, raise or lower the seat.

  • B. Seatback Recline Adjustment
    Move the vertical control to recline or raise the seatback.

  • C. Lumbar Adjustment
    Press the round control to adjust the lumbar support.

  • D. MassageF
    Press the control button to turn the massage feature on/off. It will turn off after 10 minutes.

Memory Seat

  • With the driver’s seat, power steering column and power outside mirrors in the desired position, press and release the SET button. A beep will sound. Immediately press and hold button 1 until two beeps sound. Repeat the steps using button 2 for a second driver and the   button to set the exit position.
  • To recall the setting, press and hold button 1 or 2 or the button until the stored position is reached.
  • To set the Auto Memory Recall or Easy Exit options, go to Settings > Vehicle > Comfort and Convenience.

Auto Heated/Vented SeatF

The auto-heated or vented seats will turn on automatically when the ignition is on at the level required by the vehicle’s interior temperature.

  • To turn the Auto Heated/Vented Seats feature on or off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Comfort and Convenience.

Folding Rear Seatbacks

  1. Press the button at the base of the head restraint post to lower the head restraint.
  2. Use the door key from the RKE transmitter in the mini-buckle slot to disconnect the mini-latch of the center safety belt.
  3. Pull the release handle in the trunk to release the seatback.
  4. Fold the seatback forward.

Steering Wheel Adjustment

  • With the vehicle parked, push down the lever, or press the power control , on the left side of the steering column to move the steering wheel up or down and in or out. On the manual column, pull up the lever to lock the steering wheel in place.

Driver Information Center

The Driver Information Center (DIC) on the instrument cluster displays a variety of vehicle system information and warning messages.

DIC Controls

Use the controls on the right side of the steering wheel to view and move through the DIC menus.

  • Press the or button to move between the display zones. Press the left to go back to the previous menu.
  • Press the or button to scroll through the menus.
  • Press the button to open a menu or select a setting. Press and hold to reset a value.

Info Pages Menu

  1. Use the controls to display the Options menu.
  2. Scroll to display Info Pages. Press to view the pages.
  3. Scroll through the list of items.
  4. Press to select or deselect an item to display.\

Head-Up DisplayF

The Head-Up Display (HUD) projects some operating information on the windshield. Temporary information, such as audio changes and navigation maneuvers, also may be displayed. The HUD controls are located on the left side of the instrument panel. HUD

  • HUD
    Lift up or press down to adjust the position of the image. It cannot be adjusted side-to-side.

  • INFO
    Press to select from four displays: Speed View; Audio/Phone View; Navigation View; and Performance View.

  • Brightness
    Lift up or press down to brighten or dim the display. Hold down to turn off the display.

IntelliLink Infotainment System

Buick IntelliLink
IntelliLink uses a Bluetooth or USB connection to link to a compatible device, such as a smartphone, cell phone, USB flash drive or portable audio player/iPod® and offers hands-free voice control. For assistance with the IntelliLink system, contact Customer Assistance at 1-855-4-SUPPORT (1-855-478-7767) or go to my.buick.com/learn.

IntelliLink Infotainment System

Storing Favorites
Radio stations from all bands (AM, FM or SiriusXM ), media (song, artist, etc.), phone contacts and navigation destinations can be stored in any order on the favourites list.

  1. Display the desired radio station, media favorite, contact or destination.
  2.  Touch the Interaction Selector at the bottom of the screen to display the favourite screen buttons.
  3. Touch and hold one of your favourite screen buttons until a beep is heard.
  4. Repeat the steps to store another favorite item.

Note: To change the number of favourites displayed, go to Radio in the Vehicle Settings menu.

Voice Pass-Thru

Voice Pass-Thru allows access to the voice recognition commands on a compatible cell phone; i.e. Siri or Voice Command. Visit my.buick.com/learn for more information.

  • To activate phone voice recognition, press and hold the Push to Talk button on the steering wheel for 2 seconds.

Natural Voice Recognition

Control the music source and make phone calls hands-free (after pairing your Bluetooth-enabled phone) using the natural voice recognition system.

  1. Press the Push to Talk button on the steering wheel.
  2. The radio will say “Command please,” followed by a beep.
  3. After the beep, say what you want it to do using natural speech.
  4. Phone (using your paired phone) – Example command: “Call Amanda” or “Call 555-1212”
  5. Media Music Device Search (when connected to USB only) – Example command: “Play artist [name]” or “Play song [name]”
  6. Radio – Example command: “Tune FM 104.3” or “Tune XM Classic Vinyl”
  7. Help – Say “Help” for voice recognition assistance

Portable Audio Devices

USB ports and accessory power outlets are located in the vehicle to connect portable audio devices. Use the USB ports to connect and charge mobile devices.

  • Connect an iPod®, iPhone®, MP3 Player, or a USB flash drive to a USB port. Search for music on-screen or by voice commands.
  • Touch the Audio icon > Media to select a portable device as the audio source.

Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™

Apple CarPlay or Android Auto capability may be available through a compatible smartphone. If available, a Projection icon will appear on the home page of the infotainment display.

  1. No app is required for Apple CarPlay. Download the Android Auto app to your phone from the Google Play Store.
  2. Connect your Apple iPhone or Android phone by plugging the compatible phone USB cable into a USB data port. Use your device’s factory-provided USB cable. Aftermarket cables may not work.
  3. The Projection icon will change to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, depending on the phone. Apple CarPlay or Android Auto may launch automatically upon USB connection. If not, touch the Apple CarPlay or Android Auto icon on the home page.

Bluetooth® System

Refer to your Owner Manual for important information about using the Bluetooth system while driving.
Before using a Bluetooth-enabled device in the vehicle, it must be paired with the in- vehicle Bluetooth system. The pairing process is disabled when the vehicle is moving. Not all devices will support all functions. Visit my.buick.com/learn for more information.

Pair a Phone

  1. To use voice recognition, press the Push to Talk button on the steering wheel; after the beep, say “Pair Phone”; or use the touch screen to select the Phone icon > Phones > Pair Device.
  2. Start the pairing process on the phone. Locate your vehicle or Buick IntelliLink on the phone.
  3. Confirm the codes that appear on the touch screen and the phone.
  4. When pairing is complete, the phone screen is displayed. Your phone book may be downloaded depending on the phone.

OnStar® with 4G LTE and Wi-Fi®

  • With OnStar 4G LTE and Wi-Fi, up to seven devices (smartphones, tablets and laptops) can be connected to high-speed Internet through the vehicle’s built-in Wi-Fi hotspot.

To retrieve the SSID and password for the hotspot, press the OnStar Voice Command button on the overhead console or rearview mirror, wait for the prompt, and then say “Wi-Fi settings.” The information will be displayed on the screen.

For assistance, press the blue OnStar button or call 1-888-4-ONSTAR (1-888-466-7827).

Audio Steering Wheel Controls

  • Push to Talk
    Press to answer an incoming call or to use natural voice recognition with the Bluetooth or OnStar® system.

  • End Call/Mute
    Press to end or decline a call.
    Press to mute/unmute the speakers.

  • Volume
    Press the switch up or down to adjust the volume.

  • Next/Previous Favorite Station
    Press the or button to go to the next or previous favourite station or track.

Cruise Control

Setting Cruise Control

  1. Press the On/Off button. The symbol will illuminate in white on the instrument cluster.
  2. When travelling at the desired speed, press the control down to the SET – position to set the speed. The symbol will be illuminated in green.

Adjusting Cruise Control

  • RES+ Resume/Accelerate
    Press the control up to resume a set speed. When the system is active, press up to increase speed.

  • SET– Set/Coast
    When the system is active, press the control down to decrease speed.

  • Cancel
    Press to cancel the cruise control without erasing the set speed from memory. Pressing the brake pedal also will cancel the cruise control.

Adaptive Cruise Control
The system maintains the set speed and a following gap — the time between your vehicle and a vehicle detected directly ahead — by accelerating or braking automatically.

  • Following Gap
    Press to select a following gap setting Far, Medium, or Near. This is also the Forward Collision AlertF setting.

Automatic Climate Controls

Automatic Operation

  1. Press AUTO.
  2. Set the temperature.

The system automatically controls the fan speed, air delivery, air conditioning and circulation to reach the set temperature. Allow time for the system to reach the desired temperature. If the fan speed or air delivery mode is manually adjusted, automatic
operation is cancelled.
SYNC Temperature Settings

Press CLIMATE to display the touchscreen controls. Touch SYNC to link all passenger settings to the driver settings.

Electronic Precision Shift

The automatic transmission shift lever always starts in a centre position, represented by a dot on the shift pattern displayed on top of the shift lever. The selected gear position is illuminated in red. After shifting, the shift lever returns to the center position.

  • Park – Press the button on top of the lever to shift into Park. The vehicle will not shift out of Park unless the ignition is on, the brake pedal is applied, and the button on the side of the lever is pressed.
    Reverse – Press the button on the side of the lever and move the lever forward and then left to shift into Reverse.
    Neutral – Move and hold the lever forward for 1/2 second to shift into Neutral. Note: The transmission will not stay in Neutral for an extended period. It will automatically shift into Park.
    Drive – Move the lever rearward to shift into Drive.

  • Tap Shift Mode – With the transmission in Drive, pull back on the lever to activate Manual Mode. Press the left steering wheel paddle to downshift and the right paddle to upshift. Pull back on the lever again to return to Drive.

Automated Car Wash Mode

To place the transmission in Neutral with the engine running:

  1. While pressing the brake pedal, open the driver’s door and then shift to Neutral.
  2. The indicator should show N. If it does not, select Neutral again.
  3. Upon returning to the vehicle, shift into Park.

Selective Ride Control

Selective Ride Control automatically adjusts the suspension and steering settings in real-time. There are two driving modes

  • . TOUR – Default mode used for normal city and highway driving.
  • SPORT – Press the SPORT button on the centre of the instrument panel when road conditions or personal preference demand more responsive, controlled steering and handling. Press the button again to return to Tour mode.

Driving Assistance Systems

Safety Alert Seat – The driver’s seat pulses — left side, right side or simultaneously — to alert the driver of potential hazards.

  • Seat pulsing alerts or audible alerts may be selected. To change the alert settings, go to Settings > Vehicle > Collision/Detection Systems > Alert Type.

Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert – While driving, the system displays a warning symbol on the left or right side mirror when a vehicle is detected in that side blind zone area or rapidly approaching that area. The warning symbol flashes if a turn signal is activated when a vehicle has been detected.

To turn the systems on or off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Collision/Detection Systems > Lane Change Alert.

Forward Collision Aler t – The Vehicle Ahead indicator illuminates in green on the instrument cluster when a vehicle is detected and illuminates in amber when following a vehicle ahead too closely. If your vehicle approaches another vehicle too rapidly, a visual alert flashes on the windshield and the Safety Alert Seat pulses.

  • Press the Collision Alert button on the steering wheel to set the alert timing to Far, Medium, or Near.

Forward Automatic Braking – The brakes may be applied in potential collision situations to help reduce damage or help avoid collisions with vehicles directly ahead.

  • To set the Forward Collision Alert and Front Automatic Braking systems to Alert and Brake, Alert, or Off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Collision/Detection Systems > Forward Collision System.

Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning – The Lane Keep Assist indicator illuminates in green on the instrument cluster when a lane marking is detected. If your vehicle approaches a detected lane marking without using a turn signal in that direction, the system may assist by gently turning the steering wheel and providing a Lane Departure Warning alert by flashing an amber

  • Press the Lane Keep Assist button on the center of the instrument panel to turn the system on or off.

Front Pedestrian Detection – During daytime driving at speeds of 5–50 mph, the system detects pedestrians directly ahead up to a distance of approximately 131 feet and dis-plays an amber indicator. When approaching a detected pedestrian too quickly, a visual alert flashes on the windshield and the Safety Alert Seat pulses. The system may prepare the brakes or automatically brake the vehicle.

  • To set the system to Alert and Brake, Alert, or Off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Collision/Detection Systems > Front Pedestrian Detection.

Traction Control and StabiliTrak Systems – The traction control system limits wheelspin and the StabiliTrak® stability control system assists with directional control of the vehicle in difficult driving conditions. Both systems turn on automatically every time the vehicle is started. Turn off traction control if the vehicle is stuck and rocking the vehicle is required.

  • Press the Traction Control/StabiliTrak Of f button on the centre of the instrument panel to turn the traction control on or off.

Parking Assistance Systems

Rear Vision Camera – When the vehicle is in Reverse, a view of the area behind the vehicle is displayed on the touch screen. Vehicle speed must be below 5 mph.

  • Rear Vision Camera – When the vehicle is in Reverse, a view of the area behind the vehicle is displayed on the touch screen. Vehicle speed must be below 5 mph.

Front and Rear Park Assist – During low-speed parking maneuvers, the system provides “distance to closest object” information on the Driver Information Center, sounds a beep, and pulses the Safety Alert Seat. When an object is very close, 5 beeps sound from the front or rear of the vehicle and the Safety Alert Seat pulses.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert – When the vehicle is in Reverse, the system warns of traffic coming in either direction by displaying a visual alert on the touch screen and pulsing the left or right side of the Safety Alert Seat or sounding 3 beeps from the left or right.

  • Press the Park Assist button on the center of the instrument panel to turn the  Parking Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert systems on or off.

Automatic Parking Assist – Automatic

Parking Assist steers the vehicle to help park in parallel and perpendicular spaces.

  1. Press th e Automatic Parking Assist button on the center of the instrument panel. A beep sounds and a parking assist display is shown on the Driver Information Center (DIC). The system will begin searching for a large enough parking space.
  2. Once a space is found, shift the vehicle into Reverse or Drive as directed on the DIC and apply the accelerator or brake as needed. Parking Complete will be displayed and a beep will sound when the parking maneuver is complete

Battery Location

The standard 12-volt battery is located under the trim panel on the driver’s side of the trunk. Remote jump-start terminals are located under the hood on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Capless Fuel Fill

  • To open the fuel door, press and release the center of the rear edge of the door. It will pop out slightly. Pull the door open. The capless fuel system does not have a fuel fill cap. Fully insert the fuel pump nozzle before starting to fill the tank. If the tank must be filled using a portable container, first insert the capless funnel adapter, located under the trunk floor, into the fuel system.

advisors who are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to contact a service provider for light services (fuel delivery, jump-starts, flat tyres and lock-outs) or make arrangements to tow your vehicle to the nearest Buick dealer for any repairs.

Roadside Assistance and OnStar®

If you require roadside service and have a current OnStar subscription, press the OnStar button and the vehicle will send your current GPS location to an OnStar Advisor who will speak to you, assess your problem, contact Roadside Assistance and relay your exact location so you will get the help you need.

myBuick and OnStar® Mobile Apps

The myBuick mobile app connects owners to a variety of vehicle information and services, such as a searchable Owner Manual, real-time fuel information and Roadside Assistance. Download the OnStar RemoteLink mobile app and enjoy select features for 5 years from the date of vehicle delivery. With a compatible mobile device, owners can access many services, including remotely starting/stopping the vehicle, locking/unlocking the doors, and locating the vehicle on a map (on properly equipped vehicles).
