Product Usage Instructions

Installation and Use

To use the lamp:

1. Place the light chain in the desired location.
2. If using batteries, insert 3 AA batteries into the battery box.
3. If using a power source, connect the USB to the DC power cable to the lamp and a compatible power source.
4. Press the power button to turn on the lamp.

Cleaning and Maintenance
The light chain can be cleaned with a damp rag. Avoid using corrosive liquids as they may damage the light chain.

Disassembly and Disposal

Note:
The following instructions are intended for market surveillance authorities or disposal of the lamp at the end of its usable life.

1. To remove the light source from the bulbs, remove the tape from the cord and light bulb. Pull the cord and light source in separate directions to remove the light bulb and access the light source.
2. Cut the necessary wires to remove the required components for testing or disposal.
3. If using batteries, remove them from the battery box and dispose of them according to local regulations.
4. To dispose of the circuit board in the battery box, cut off the electric wires and dispose of the circuit board and wires according to local regulations.
5. Dispose of polycarbonate and other plastic components according to local regulations.

  No, the light source and control gear are not replaceable. This is to ensure the durability and longevity of the product.

• Is the product waterproof?
  Yes, the product has a degree of protection of IP44, making it waterproof.

Installation & Use

Use of the lamp:

• The light chain can be powered by the USB to DC power cable (4) or by the battery box with 3 x AA batteries (not included). To power the light chain with the battery box, insert 3 x AA batteries. Connect the battery box to the light chain by inserting the DC male stick on the light chain to the DC female socket on the battery box. To power the light chain using the USB plug, disconnect the battery box, connect the USB to the DC power cable (4) and connect the USB to a reliable power source.
• When powered by the battery box, the light chain is switched on/off by using the power button. When powered by the USB to DC power cable (4), the light chain can be switched on/off by connecting & disconnecting the USB plug from the power source.
• The light chain can be hung by lashing it around a tent pole, a tree, a clothesline or similar.
• The light chain is water-resistant to IP44.

Cleaning & maintenance

• The light chain can be cleaned with a damp rag.
• Do not use corrosive liquids to clean the lamp as this might damage the light chain.

Light Source

The light source and control gear are not replaceable. This would introduce weak points in the construction, that could reduce the lifetime of the product.

Disassembly & Disposal

Instruction for removal of the light source and control gear by market surveillance authorities:

1. Remove the light source from the bulbs by removing the tape from the cord and light bulb. Pull the
   cord and light source in separate directions to remove the light bulb and access the light source.

2. Cut needed wires to remove the required components for testing.

   • Instruction for disassembly of lamp for disposal of components when the lamp has reached the end of its usable life: – See steps 1-2 above

3. Remove batteries from the battery box (2), and dispose of the batteries according to local regulations.

4. Remove the circuit board in the battery box by cutting off the electric wires. Dispose of the circuit board & electric wires according to local regulations.

5. Dispose of polycarbonate and other plastic components according to local regulations.
