  • If there is an obstacle between this unit and the Bluetooth device, remove it.
  • Radio waves may interfere when using a Bluetooth connection and the wireless LAN (Wi- Fi) connection at the same time. Turn off the wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) function or set [Wi-Fi Frequency] to [5GHz (Recommended)] in the Utility settings.

rekordbox CloudDirectPlay
Tracks aren’t displayed or can’t be loaded.

  • Tracks aren’t displayed on the browse screen if rekordbox for Mac/Windows or rekordbox for iOS/Android and the library in the cloud haven’t been synchronized. Use the unit after the synchronization completes.
  • Tracks aren’t uploaded to Dropbox. Only tracks uploaded to Dropbox are displayed on the browse screen. If the upload hasn’t completed, you can’t load the tracks. Upload the tracks you want to use to Dropbox beforehand using rekordbox for Mac/Windows or rekordbox for iOS/Android.
  • You can’t load tracks to the unit when Dropbox is under maintenance or failure occurs in Dropbox. Use after the maintenance completes or after the issue is fixed. You can check the maintenance and failure status at the Dropbox website below.
    https://status.dropbox.com/

The capacity of the storage device (SD, USB) is insufficient.

  • When using the unit in cold places, the LCD display may be dark for a while after the power is turned on. Normal brightness will restore after a while.
  • When the LCD display is exposed to direct sunlight, the light will reflect off it, making it difficult to see. Block the direct sunlight to improve visibility of the display.

Cleaning
Wipe with a dry soft cloth.

  • Do not use organic solvents, acids or alkalis for cleaning.

Touch screen

  • Operate the touch screen with your fingertip. Do not press it with excessive force.
  • Do not operate the touch screen with hard and sharp-pointed objects such as a ballpoint pen, mechanical pencil, or sharp fingernail.

Battery
Cautions on battery charge
Built-in battery

  • If you don’t use the battery for a long time, charge it up to approximately 50% once every 6 months to prevent deterioration.
  • It may take a long time to charge the battery if it hasn’t been used for a long time.
  • The unit may not turn on when the battery level is low, even if you press the power button. If this is the case, connect the AC adapter (power cord) to the unit and charge the battery at least partially.
  • Even if the AC adapter (power cord) is connected to the unit, if you press the power button when the battery level is low, the power button lights for 10 seconds and the unit doesn’t turn on. Charge the battery at least partially, then turn the unit on.
  • Even if the battery level isn’t low, the power button will blink when there is a problem with the main unit. Read the Precautions for Use and consult an authorized service company or your dealer.
  • Even if the AC adapter (power cord) is connected, the battery charge indicator blinks if the battery can’t be charged due to usage conditions or the environment you’re using it in. If the problem continues even if you use the battery within the recommended charging temperature range, read the Precautions for Use and consult an authorized service company or your dealer.
  • Batteries have a limited lifespan. Capacity of the rechargeable battery gradually decreases as the battery is charged and used repeatedly. If the usable time of the battery becomes extremely short even if the battery has been fully charged, it’s considered that the battery has reached the end of its life. Read the Precautions for Use and consult an authorized service company or your dealer.
  • Battery life will vary depending on the conditions of storage, usage, and the environment the unit is in.

Safety precautions

  • Observe the following precautions to avoid serious injury or blindness due to liquid leakage, rupture, heat generation, or fire.
    — This unit has a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
If you insert the USB plug or power plug when it’s wet, it may cause a short circuit due to liquids (tap water, seawater, soft drinks, etc.) or foreign objects adhering to the main unit or charging cable.
It may cause abnormal heating or malfunction. Never insert the USB plug or power plug when the main unit or charging cable is wet.
