Power Supply
Use the type-C charging cable (included) to charge this radio.
The charging indicator light will light up during charging and turn off once
charging is complete. (Low battery prompt: Low Battery voice prompt when
battery is low.)
Tips:
- To protect the radio, please charge it with a standard DC5V/1A charger (or other devices that can supply this type of power).
- To protect the battery, please try to avoid charging the radio continuously for a long time, such as 24 hours or more.
How to Use
Power ON/OFF
- Press and hold < /Clock> for 3 seconds to power on/off.
- When the device is powered on, briefly press < /Clock> to switch from the working mode (Bluetooth/ TF card/USB drive/AUX/FM mode) to the clock mode (only display time), or switch from the clock mode back to the working mode.
Mode Switch
In working mode, press < Mode/EQ> repeatedly to cycle through and switch
between modes, including Bluetooth mode, TF card mode, FM mode, USB drive
mode, and AUX IN mode.
Note:
- When there is no TF card or USB drive inserted, TF card mode and USB drive mode will be automatically skipped.
- When a USB drive/TF card is inserted, the radio will directly enter USB drive or TF card mode.
- To switch to FM mode, TF card/USB drive mode or AUX mode, you need to briefly press < /Clock> to enter Bluetooth mode first, then briefly press < Mode/EQ> to switch the mode.
- Volume Adjustment: Press and hold < -> to decrease the volume. Press and hold < +> to increase the volume.
Bluetooth Mode
- Bluetooth connection:
- In clock mode, briefly press < >II> to enter Bluetooth mode, and the BLUE on the display blinks.
- Enable Bluetooth on your device, such as your phone, thensearch and connect to the device named J-177. After a successful connection, the radio will emit a beep sound, and the BLUE on the display will stop blinking.
- Open the music app/software on your device and play music.
- Briefly press < -> or < +> to switch to the previous or the next song.
- Briefly press < >II> to pause/resume the playback.
- Press and hold < -> or < +> to adjust the volume.
- Hands-Free Calling: In the connected state, you can answer incoming calls by briefly pressing < >II>. Press it again briefly to end the call. To decline an incoming call, press and hold < >II>.

HOW TO USE

- Repeatedly press <③ Mode/EQ> to switch to FM mode.
- Press and hold <⑧ >II> to search stations and save available stations automatically.
- After the search is complete, you can briefly press <⑥ -> or <⑦ +> to select saved stations.
- Press <⑧ >II> briefly to mute, and press <⑧ >II> again briefly to unmute.
How to Get Better Reception?
- Adjust the telescopic antenna while listening to FM.
- When you’re indoors, approach it to the window and try to keep it away from the electronic devices, such as computers, TVs, refrigerators and mobile phones.
- When you’re outdoors, please try to listen to the radio in an open place.
- Human Body Induction: When reception is weak, it will get better if you hold the radio in hand, but its reception will be weak again when the hand is away. This is a common phenomenon among almost all the radios, it’s not a problem.
TF Card/USB Drive Mode
- Insert the TF Card (32GB or less)/USB Drive loaded with audio files into <⑪ TF Card Slot> or <⑫ USB Drive Slot>. The radio will play music automatically once the audio files are detected.
- Briefly press <⑥ -> or <⑦ +> to switch to the previous or the next song.
- Briefly press <⑧ >II> to pause/resume the playback.
Note:
- Having too many files on the TF card/USB drive can make the device unable to recognize songs. Only save music files on the TF card/USB drive.
- If there are no music files stored on the TF card/USB drive, the radio will automatically switch to another mode.
- Music files must be in MP3 or WVA format.
- Please make sure the USB drive and TF card are in FAT or FAT32 format, as the radio can’t read the USB drive or TF card in NTFS format.
AUX IN Mode
- Insert one end of AUX cable (not included) into <⑬ AUX Jack> and the another end into earphone jack of your device.
- Repeatedly short press <③ Mode/EQ> to switch to AUX IN mode, and you will hear “auxiliary connection”.
- Open the music app/software to play music.
- Press <⑧ >II> to mute the radio, press again to resume the sound.
OTHER FEATURES
Time Setting
- In clock mode, briefly press <⑤ Time Set>, and the “hour” digit will flash.
- Briefly press <⑥ -> and <⑦ +> to set hour.
- Briefly press <⑧ >II> to confirm and then “minute” digit will flash.
- Briefly press <⑥ -> and <⑦ +> to set minute.
- Briefly press <⑤ Time Set> to confirm.
Note:
After the device is connected to your phone via Bluetooth, it will
automatically synchronize its time with the phone. If the device’s time is not
synchronized after Bluetooth connection, you will need to manually set the
time.
Alarm

Activate/Deactivate Alarm
In clock mode, press and hold <②Alarm> to activate and deactivate the alarm. When the alarm is activated, the icon will appear, and it will disappear when the alarm is deactivated. -
Alarm Setting
1. In clock mode, briefly press <②Alarm> to enter alarm setting and the “hour” digit will flash.
2. Briefly press <⑥ -> and <⑦ +> to set hour.
3. Briefly press <⑧ >II> to confirm and then “minute” digit will flash.
4. Briefly press <⑥ -> and <⑦ +> to set minute.
5. Briefly press <⑧ >II> to confirm.
6. Briefly press <⑥-> and <⑦+>select alarm sound (8 alarm sounds).
7. Briefly press <⑧ >II> to confirm.
8. Briefly press <⑥ -> and <⑦ +> adjust alarm volume.
9. Briefly press <⑧ >II> to confirm.

Turn Off Alarm
When the alarm rings, press any button other than <① Dimmer/Zz> to stop it. The alarm will be deactivated for the day and will ring again the next day. -
Snooze
When the alarm rings, press the <①
Dimmer/Zz> briefly to snooze for 5 minutes.
The alarm will ring again after five minutes. -
EQ Mode
- In non-clock mode, press and hold <③ Mode/EQ> to enter the EQ mode.
- Briefly <⑥ -> and <⑦ +> to select EQ sound effect. (BASS/POP/- JAZZ/ROCK/LOUD/NORMAL)
- Wait for 5 seconds or press <⑧ >II> briefly to confirm and exit the EQ mode.

Adjusting Display Brightness
In clock mode, press the <① Dimmer/Zz> briefly to switch between three levels (off, medium, bright) of display brightness.
Note:
In the off state, the display screen will automatically light up (at medium
brightness) if the device is operated or when the alarm goes off. It will turn
off automatically after 5 seconds of inactivity.
