Power Supply: The radio can be powered by various methods:

1. DC5V Charging: Plug the smaller end of the USB cable into the radio’s charging jack and the other end into the USB port of your computer or USB power adapter. It takes approximately 4 hours to fully charge. The charging indicator turns off once the radio is fully charged.
2. Solar Charging: The solar panel converts solar energy into electric energy to recharge the built-in lithium battery. The solar panel absorbs sunlight and recharges the battery.
3. Crank-up Charging: Roll the rocking bar clockwise or anticlockwise to generate power. The blue charging indicator shines while cranking.

Ways of charging

DC5V Charging
Plug the smaller end of USB cable into <⑯DC5V Charging Jack> on the radio and the other end into the USB port of your computer or USB power adapter. It takes 4 hours around to charge. Plus, the indicator turns off and the radio stops charging once the radio is fully charged.

Tips:

• a. To protect the radio, please charge the radio with a standard DC5V/0.5-2A  charger (or other devices that can supply this type of power).
• b. To protect the battery, please try to avoid charging the radio continuously for a long time, such as 24 hours or more.

Solar Charging

The solar panel enables the conversion from solar energy to electric energy, which makes it possible to recharge the built-in lithium battery.
The <⑥Blue Charging Indicator> will shine as long as the solar panel is absorbing sunlight and recharging.
Tips:

• a. Its current depends on the 　 intensity of sunlight. We recommend charge it in strong sunlight, and take it back on cloudy days or at night.
• b. With 86000 LUX daily, it takes about 60 hours to fully charge the battery.

Crank-up Charging

Roll the rocking bar successively clockwise or anticlockwise, the <⑥ Blue Charging Indicator> shines then.

Tips:
Its current depends on the speed and time you crank up.

How to Get Better Reception?

• A. Adjust the telescopic antenna while listening to FM, but reposition the radio while listening to AM.
• B. When you’re indoors, approach the radio to the window and try to keep it away from electronic devices, such as computer, TVs, refrigerators  mobile phones, etc. if the signal is not good.

Listen to MP3
Bluetooth Connection

• A “Dingdong” sound means Bluetooth connection is available.
• Switch on the Bluetooth on your device and connect the device “J-905”.
• Open your music app/software and play your favorite music.

Tips:

• a. :To pause and play the music.
• b. :To switch to the song you want to play.

USB Disk / SD Card Playing

Tips:

• a. : Press to pause and play.
• b. : Press to switch to the song; Press and hold to fast forward or rewind down.
• c. USB Disk/SD Card: Please make sure they are in FAT or FAT32 format, as the radio can’t read flash drive / SD card in NTFS format.
• d. SD Card: To avoid any damage to the SD card, please pull out the card only when the radio is not in MP3 playback.

Little Helper – LED Light

LED Flashlight
Flashlight is used for long-distance illumination.

Reading Lamp
Reading lamp is used for short-distance illumination.

• Step1: Pull up the <③Solar Panel>.
• Step2: Switch the <⑤Reading Lamp Switch> ON. You could place something under the radio to adjust it to a height suitable for reading.

SOS Alarm
Push the button <⑱SOS Alarm/Radio/USB Charger> to “SOS” according to the label next to it. Then the LED lamp shines and the speaker gives an alarm. Push the button <⑱SOS Alarm/Radio/Power Bank> to middle to stop the alarm.

USB Charger

This radio can also be used as an emergency charger for your mobile phones, digital cameras, MP3, MP4 and etc.

• Step1: According to the label nearby, push the <⑱SOS Alarm/Radio/USB Charger> to “USB Charger – the label of charging phone”.
• Step2: Plug the USB end of the original USB cable of your device into <⑭　 USB Port> and the other end into your device. Then it starts to charge.

FAQ

Power Supply

• Q1: Can’t turn on the radio when using for the first time?
  A1: The long-distance transport may cause the battery to run out automatically. So, please charge the radio before using it for one hour to activate it.

• Q2: Will it stop charging automatically when the radio is fully charged?
  A2: Well, it will. The radio is of overcharge protection. But to protect the battery, we recommend not to charge over 12 hours at a time.

• Q3: Includes an adapter?
  A3: No. If you need one, you could buy one with 60% discount at PRUNUS store.

• Q4: Can I use the radio while it’s still charging?
  A4: Better not. Because that would affect the reception quality of the radio and shorten the battery life.

Stations

• Q1: Why is the reception not good when I am indoors?
  A1: When using indoors, please keep the radio away from appliances and electronic devices. Or place it near the window or go outdoors to get  better reception.

• Q2: Why is AM not good?
  A2: Because AM is used for medium and long distance broadcast, the signal is prone to interference. So, AM is not stable.

SD card / USB Disk

• Q1: Can’t play your micro SD card or USB disk?
  A1: Please make sure they are in FAT or 32FAT format. And check if the capacity is 32GB below as the radio supports micro SD card with max  capacity of 32GB only.

• Q2: Can I pull out the SD card casually when it’s still in playing?
  A2: No. To avoid any damage to the SD card, please pull out the card only when the radio is not in MP3 playback.
