SIEMENS 9410DC Power Meter 9410
Product Information
The 9410DC is a power and energy meter manufactured by Siemens. It is designed to measure electrical power and energy usage in various types of equipment. The device has the following dimensions: 92.4 mm x 92.4 mm x 78.5 mm. The device has a danger warning for electric shock, explosion, or arc flash. The product manual provides instructions on how to safely operate the device.
Dimensions
The device has dimensions of 92.4 mm x 92.4 mm x 78.5 mm.
Mounting
The device can be mounted using screws or other appropriate mounting hardware. Minimum clearance between mounted meters must be maintained. Adding option modules will increase meter base dimensions.
Wiring
The device requires proper wiring for accurate readings. The product manual provides instructions for proper wiring of the device for different modes of operation.
Product Usage Instructions
Warning
The device has a danger warning for electric shock, explosion, or arc flash. To avoid serious injury, follow the instructions provided in the product manual carefully.
Installation
- Turn off all power supplying this device and the equipment in which it is installed before working on the device or equipment.
- Always use a properly rated voltage-sensing device to confirm that all power is off.
- Mount the device using screws or other appropriate mounting hardware.
- Maintain minimum clearance between mounted meters.
- If adding option modules, note that this will increase meter base dimensions.
- Wire the device according to the specified volts mode.
Wiring
The device requires proper wiring for accurate readings. The product manual provides instructions for proper wiring of the device for different modes of operation. The device can be wired for the following modes:
- DELTA: Volts mode = DELTA, Mode volts = TRIANGLE, Spannungsmodus = DREIECK
- 4W-WYE: Volts mode = 4W-WYE, Spannungsmodus = 4-L-STERN
- 3W-WYE: Volts mode = 3W-WYE, Spannungsmodus = 3-L-STERN
Fuses and Circuit Breakers
The device requires fuses and circuit breakers that are rated for the installation voltage and sized for the available fault current. A fuse for the neutral terminal is required if the source neutral connection is not grounded. The meter must be configured for the specified volts mode.
Disconnect Circuit Mechanism
The device’s disconnect circuit mechanism should be clearly labeled and installed within easy reach of the operator.

Safety precautions
DANGER
HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION, OR ARC FLASH
- Apply appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe electrical work practices. See NFPA 70E in the USA or applicable local standards.
- Turn off all power supplying this device and the equipment in which it is installed before working on the device or equipment.
- Always use a properly rated voltage-sensing device to confirm that all power is off.
- Do not exceed the device’s ratings for maximum limits.
- Do not use this device for critical control or protection applications where human or equipment safety relies on the operation of the control circuit.
- Never short the secondary of a voltage transformer (VT).
- Never open the circuit a current transformer (CT).
- Always use grounded external CTs for current inputs.
- Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
- Turn off all power supplying this device and the equipment in which it is installed before working on the device or equipment.
- Always use a properly rated voltage-sensing device to confirm that all power is off.
Dimensions
- Adding option modules will increase meter base dimensions
- Minimum clearance between mounted meters
Mounting
Wiring
- A 2 A fuses and disconnect switch
- B Shorting block
- C VT primary fuses and disconnect switch
Clearly label the device’s disconnect circuit mechanism and install it within easy reach of the operator. The fuses/circuit breakers must be rated for the installation voltage and sized for the available fault current. A fuse for the neutral terminal is required if the source neutral connection is not grounded. The meter must be configured for specified volts mode.
3PH Voltage
- Volts mode = DELTA
- Volts mode = 4W-WYE
- Volts mode = DELTA
- Volts mode = 3W-WYE
- Volts mode = 4W-WYE
3PH Current
1PH Voltage
- Volts mode = Single
Control power
2 A fuses
- L1 and L2 are non-polarized. If using an AC power supply with neutral, connect neutral to the meter’s L2 terminal.
- Always use a fuse on L1. Fuse L2 when connecting an ungrounded neutral to the control power.
- If using a control power transformer, fuse both the primary and secondary sides of the transformer.
- The fuses/circuit breakers must be rated for the installation voltage and sized for the available fault current.
