DEVICE CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Battery Pack Contacts

  • Compressed air can be used to remove dust and debris.
  • Use IPA swabs on battery contacts to remove surface film and prep for brushing.
  • Using supplied nylon tipped brush, scrub contacts.
  • Final wipe with IPA swab and let air dry.
  • Tighten screws using ONLY torque set screwdriver provided.

Device Battery Contacts

  • Compressed air can be used to remove dust and debris.
  • Use IPA wipes on contacts in a downward motion ONLY. Side-to-side wiping could bend and damage the contacts. Be extra careful not to pull pins up by lodged fibers in swab/brush.
  • Using supplied nylon brush, clean contacts in ONLY downward motion
  • Do a final wipe with an IPA swap and let air dry.

Cassette bay

  • Compressed air can be used to remove dust and debris.
  • Using supplied nylon brush. Clean cassettes contact pins very gently. The pins are fragile to side-to-side loading and could be bent easily.
  • Do a final blowout with compressed air.

General device cleaning

  • The IPA swabs and nylon brush are safe to use on the entire device to clean and remove dirt or grime.
  • Only IPA swabs or eyeglasses cleaner/wipes may be used on the laser lens. Do NOT use Windex or ammonia-based cleaner anywhere on the device. This could damage lens and housings.

General Considerations

  • Antiseptic wipes can be used in place of IPA swab. The alcohol content is not crucial. Q-tips dipped in alcohol will be the same effect as IPA swab.
  • Metal brushes should NOT be used. Nylon brushes are the only recommended brushes for device cleaning.
  1. Remove and isolate any live cassettes away from the cleaning area.

  2. Using supplied screwdriver remove the four screws that attach the device to the battery pack.

  3. Using the supplied IPA swabs, clean device contacts carefully in an up and down motion only
    IMPORTANT, do not swipe side to side this will risk damage to the contacts.

  4. Repeat same procedure for battery pack contacts.

  5. Using supplied nylon brush to scrub device contacts with medium pressure in an up-and-down motion only IMPORTANT, do not swipe side-to-side this will risk damage to the contacts.

  6. Repeat same procedure for battery contacts.

  7. Using the supplied air duster, insert CO2 cartridge into air duster to prime unit. Keeping the air duster level to the ground, lightly spray inside battery pack cavity.

  8. Using a clean IPA swab, clean both device and battery contacts to remove any remaining grime from the previous step and let air dry.

  9. Once dry, use the supplied screwdriver to tighten battery pack screws in following torque sequence to ensure even seal. The supplied screwdriver is factory set to the correct toque. Tighten screws till you hear an audible click and no further.

  10. Using a supplied IPA swab, gently scrub the inside of the cassette bay, paying special attention to the pogo pins. These pins should be cleaned VERY gently and avoid lateral loads on the pins. Use the supplied nylon brush in the same fashion.

  11. Using the supplied air duster, insert CO2 cartridge into air duster to prime unit. Keeping the air duster level to the ground, lightly spray inside the cassette bay to remove dust and debris.

  12. Using a clean IPA swab, clean the cassette bay to remove any remaining grime from the previous step and let air dry.

DEVICE TESTING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Insert device tester and power on.
  • Once LED indicator turns green, press the deploy button observing both tester LEDs illuminate.
  • Important: Make sure NO live cassettes are present.
