Connection diagram
CIC wiring connections (Method 1)
- Connect to the AUX port on the car
- Connect with mic adapter cable
- Connect to the head unit
- Connect to the original power cable unplugged from the head unit
- Wifi antenna, place it away from metal and close to the phone
- Reverse camera cbs input
- Front camera cbs input
- USB port
- 12V ACC OUT
- Reverse detection 12V
- Reverse camera power supply
- Ground
- Idrive adapter cable. Connect with the OEM idrive Only one set needs to be connected, depending on the number of the original car knob

Reverse camera connection
Automatic transmission
- Connect the reverse camera to CVBS labelled ‘Reverse camera’
- Connect the cable labelled ’12V Reverse camera’ to the camera power

Manual transmission
- Connect the reverse camera to CVBS labelled ‘Reverse camera’
- Connect the cable labelled ‘Reverse 12V IN’ to the camera power

Wireless Car Play connection
- Turn on Wifi on the phone
- Turn on Bluetooth on the phone
- Search Car Play’s Bluetooth ‘Car Play xxx”
- After Bluetooth pairing is successful, click ‘Allow’, and ‘Use Car Play’ in turn, then Car Play connected successfully
Wired Android auto connection
- Enter the ‘WireAuto’ APP when switching to the Car Play system
- Pop up the prompt ‘Please connect your Android device’
- Plug the Android phone into a USB port with a USB charging cable, the Android auto can be connected successfully
Wireless Android auto connection
- Turn on Wifi on the phone
- Turn on Bluetooth on the phone
- Enter the ‘Car Play’ APP when switching to the Car Play system
- Search the Bluetooth of the phone
- Choose any one of the options on the car end to pair
- The pairing request pops up on the phone, select ‘Pair’
Wireless Airplay connection
- Select ‘Airplay’ APP on the car, then the pairing information with the phone will be displayed
- Search the wifi signal of Airplay and enter password 8888888 to pair
- Swipe the screen up and down on the mobile phone and find the screen mirroring in the taskbar
- Click ‘airplay’ to search the signal of Car Playbox
Note: if you have connected to Car Play before, please disconnect Car Play wifi first.
Wired Autolink connection
- Download and install ‘The Autolink APP on an Android phone
- Plug the Android phone into the USB port of the Car Playbox with a USB charging cable
- Open Autolink and allow all the permissions, then connect Autolink successfully
Description of the function of the original buttons
- MENU: Press and hold for 3s to switch system
- Knob: Move the pointer
- BACK: Short press to back to the previous page/Press and hold on for 5s to restart the box
- Volume adjustment: Decrease/increase the volume
- Long press to activate voice control (Siri or Google Assistant)
- Short press to answer the call, long press to hang up
FAQ
No sound when connecting Carplay
- Transfer fibre cable
- Set AUX output on OEM system
- If still no sound, connect the AUX cable to the aux port on the car (usually required for the CIC system)
How to solve the echo when calling?
- Dial any phone number, and keep the phone on
- Enter “Setup”, next is “Audio” and select “Aec Auto Setup”
- Until the screen prompts “Finished”, then hang up and the setup is complete
When Carplay fails to connect or disconnects or the black screen
Check the following steps:
- Restore network settings on the phone
- Go to “WirelessDev” and then “BT Reset”
- Change the wifi channel, restart takes effect
- Check if the antenna is away from metal and close to the phone
- Clear the Bluetooth connection record, repair and reconnect
When the OEM MIC can’t work on Carplay
- Turn off the Bluetooth connection with the original bluetooth
- Connect the mic adapter cable (provided) with the OEM MIC
When cannot answer the call by IDrive
- Turn off the Bluetooth connection with the original bluetooth
- Turn off the setting “Use car’s BT phone”
