Product Information

The product is a scanner with a transparency unit for scanning photos, film, and slides. It comes with software that allows for easy scanning and image restoration. The scanner has a power switch, USB connectivity, and an AC adapter for power supply.

Product Usage Instructions

Unpack and Unlock
Remove the scanner from its packaging and unlock any transportation locks present on the device.

Install Software
Unlock the transparency unit transportation lock if applicable. Insert the scanner software CD into your computer’s CD-ROM drive. For Macintosh OS X, double-click the CD-ROM icon on the desktop. Click “Install” and follow the on-screen instructions. Once the installation is complete, remove the CD.

Connect and Turn On
Assemble the scanner by connecting the cover cable. Do not connect the USB cable yet. Connect the AC adapter and power cable to the scanner. Then, connect the USB cable. Finally, turn on the scanner using the power switch.

Scanning a Photo
To scan a photo, follow these steps:

  1. Press the “Start” button on the scanner.
  2. Click “Scan” on your computer.
  3. Select your file settings and click “OK”.
  4. EPSON Scan will open and scan your photo in Full Auto Mode. Wait for the scan to finish or click “Pause” to change settings.
  5. EPSON File Manager will open and display your scanned photo.

Restoring Color and Removing Dust
To restore color and remove dust from film or slides, use the following steps:

  1. Refer to the on-screen User’s Guide for instructions on using Digital ICETM or Digital ICE LiteTM.
  2. Note: Digital ICE is only for color film/slides.

    Insert the Adobe® Photoshop® Elements 3.0 CD and follow the on-screen instructions. (Supported by Windows® XP and 2000, or Macintosh® OS X 10.2.8 or later only.)
