Important Information

Your AYANEO Mini PC package should include the following items:

Instalation Instruction

  1. USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C Port
    This port supports data transfer only, offering speeds of up to 5Gbps.
    You can connect USB flash drives, external storage devices, or other Type-C USB devices.

  2. 3.5mm Headphone/ Audio Jack
    Outputs audio signals for connecting headphones or speakers and is also compatible with an external microphone.

  3. RJ45 Network Interface
    Standard Ethernet interface supporting 10/100/l000Mbps.

  4. USB 3.2 Gen 2 Ports
    3 • USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports with speeds of up to 10Gbps.

  5. USB2.0 Port
    USB 2.0 Type-A port with a transfer rate of 480Mbps.

  6. HDMI 2.0 Port
    High-definition video output interface for connecting your AYANEO Mini PC to a high-definition display, supporting up to 4K (3840×2160@60Hz).
    Note: 1″ HDMI high-definition cable is included in the package.

  7. DP 1.4 (DisplayPort) Port
    High-definition digital video output interface supporting 4K (3840×2160@60Hz).

  8. DC Power Input Port
    The adapter provides DC power to the AYANEO Mini PC through the DC
    power input port. Please use the included power adapter.
    Note: The power adapter may vary depending on the model and region:
    72W Power Adapter: DC 12V – 6A 72W
    84W Power Adapter: DC 12V – 7A 84W

  9. Decorative Components

    • Magnetic and replaceable decorative components
    • Note: Additional styles of replaceable decorative components are included in the package, allowing for customization.
      Caution: The removable decorative components are small in size. Please keep the AYANEO Mini PC out of the reach of infants to prevent the risk of unintended ingestion.
  10. Power Button/Power Indicator Light

    • Press the top power button to turn on the AYANEO Mini PC. When it’s functioning normally, the indicator light will be white.
    • When the AYANEO Mini PC is operating normally, pressing the power button will put it into sleep mode. During sleep, the cooling fan stops spinning, and the power indicator light is off.
    • Along press of about 8 seconds can forcibly shut down the AYANEO Mini PC. It is not recommended to perform a forced shutdown in normal usage scenarios as it may lead to irreversible risks such as data loss.
  11. Active Air Intake Vents

    • While the AYANEO Mini PC is in operation, the cooling fan draws in cold air through the intake vents. The airflow carries away the heat generated by the processor as it passes through the finned heatsink module and expels it into the external environment.
      Note: Different fan operation strategies may produce varying levels of noise. During operation, make sure not to block the vents to avoid impacting the overall cooling efficiency of the device.
  12. Active Air Exhaust Vents

    • The cooling fan exhausts the heat generated by the AYANEO Mini PC’s processor through the exhaust vents into the external environment.
  13. Passive Cooling Vents

    • The AYANEO Mini PC dissipates internal heat through the cooling vents during operation by circulating air outside the chassis.

    Note: Do not block the cooling vents during operation, as this may lead to overheating.

Use your AYANEO Mini PC

a. Connect the power adapter’s DC port to the AYAN EO Mini PC.
b. Connect the AC power adapter to an AC 100-240V power outlet.

Connect the screen

The AYANEO Mini PC has the following interfaces for connecting a screen or projector.
1 • HDMI 2.0 4K@60Hz
1 DP 1.4 (DisplayPort) 4K@60Hz
Note: When HDMI and DisplayPort are connected simultaneously, a maximum of 2 displays can be used at the same time.
The maximum resolution depends on the available resolutions offered by different displays and may be affected by cables or software.

Connect USB Keyboard and Mouse

Before using the AYANEO Mini PC, you need to prepare a USB or wireless keyboard and mouse. Wireless keyboard and mouse kits work through Bluetooth connections or USB receivers. USB keyboard and mouse kits can be directly connected to the Type-A ports on the back of the AYANEO Mini PC via cables.

After correctly connecting the power, display, keyboard, and mouse, press the power button to start your AYANEO Mini PC.

Update your AYANEO Mini PC

AYANEO Mini PC supports upgrading the memory, SSD, and wireless network card.
If you purchase a Bare System configuration, it does not include memory and SSD, so you’ll need to purchase and install them separately.
Before performing any upgrades, make sure to disconnect the power to your AYANEO Mini PC and unplug all connected devices.
We recommend having a professional guide you through the installation or upgrades. If you encounter any issues, please contact AYANEO for further assistance and support.
Note: Please note that the following illustrations are for reference, and the interface configuration and some details may vary depending on the specific model’s configuration.

  • Place the AYANEO Mini PC with the top of the device facing downwards on a flat and stable surface.
  • Remove the four screws on the bottom cover.
  • Use a prying tool to insert into the gap around the casing and gently pry and remove the cover.

  • Align the cover with the casing and press along the edges to snap it into place.
  • Fasten the four screws on the bottom cover.

Removing the AYANEO Mini PC motherboard

  • Remove the three screws securing the fan .

  • Disconnect the fan’s connecting cable then remove the fan.

  • Disconnect the antennas for the network card module and disconnect the cable from the small board. Be careful during this process to avoid any damage.

  • Remove the three screws securing the motherboard, then take out the motherboard.

Reinstall the AYANEO Mini PC motherboard

  • Place the motherboard back into the case, ensuring that it aligns with the connectors and positions properly.

  • Tighten the three screws to secure the motherboard in place.

  • Attach the two wireless card antennas, making sure to match them correctly with 1 and 2.

  1. corresponds to the gray cable antenna.

  • Connect the small board connecting cable according to the A, B, C diagrams.

Install the three screws to lock the fan, and connect the fan cables.

Install SSD or 2.5-inch storage hard drive

Your AYANEO Mini PC has an NV Me M.2 Pickle 3.0 slot and a SATA interface.
The M.2 slot supports the installation or upgrade of SSDs with a 2280 form factor.
The SATA interface allows you to install or upgrade a 2.5-inch SSD or HDD for storage expansion.
Note: You must remove the motherboard before installing or upgrading an M.2 SSD in your AYANEO Mini PC.

A. Tilt the SSD to align it with the motherboard”s M.2 slot.
B. Once you’ve aligned the notch on the SSD with the screw on the
motherboard, use a screw to lock the SSD in place. This completes the installation.

Removing M.2 SSD

A. Remove the SSD locking screw.
B. Tilt and carefully remove the SSD.

  1. Installing or upgrading the 2.5-inch storage hard drive

    • Note: The packaging includes cables. brackets. and screws for installing the 2.5-inch hard drive.
    • Place the 2.5-inch hard drive into the bracket and connect the SATA cable.
      A. Block the 2.5-inch hard drive in the bracket by tightening the four fixing screws on both sides.
      B. Connect the SATA cable.

  2. Install the assembled 2.5-inch hard drive with the bracket and cables into the AYANEO Mini PC.

    • Pay attention to the orientation of the SATA cable’s data and power connector-
    • Tighten the four screws to lock the 2.5-inch
  3. hard drive assembly in place.

  4. Connect the motherboard to the 2.5-inch hard drive SATA cable’s data and power connectors.

    • After connecting the SATA cable, smoothly install the motherboard inside the chassis.

Upgrading or Installing Memory

Your AYANEO Mini PC has two DDR4 SO-DIMM memory slots,  supporting a single stick or two sticks of memory. It’s recommended to use two sticks together as this can provide a significant performance boost in certain applications and scenarios.

  • Align the memory stick with the SO-DIMM slot on the motherboard.
    Insert the memory stick into the slot, then press down on both ends to lock the memory stick in place.

  • A. Push the locking clips outward on both sides to release the memory stick from the slot. This will cause the memory stick to tilt and be free from the slot’s retention force.
    • B. Carefully remove the memory stick from the slot.

Upgrading or Installing a Wireless Network Card

Your AYANEO Mini PC supports upgrading and replacing a 2230 wireless network card. Before upgrading, make sure the selected wireless network card is compatible, and consult the network card supplier for details.
Note: Start by disconnecting the antennas, then remove the old wireless network card. Be gentle to avoid causing any damage
A. Align the new wireless network card with the M.2 slot on the motherboard
B. Align the notches of the network card with the screw holes on the motherboard, then secure it in place using screws to complete the installation.

Power On / Off

  • Press the top power button to turn on your AYANEO Mini PC; the indicator light will turn white when it’s operating normally.
  • To shut down your AYANEO Mini PC, left-click the “Start” button with the mouse, select the” ” icon in the popup window, and then choose  ”  ” in the menu that appears.
  • If your AYANEO Mini PC becomes unresponsive, you can perform a forced shutdown by pressing and holding the power button for about 8 seconds. It’s not recommended for normal use as this action may lead to irreversible data damage or other risks.

Sleep/Wake

  • While in normal operation, pressing the power button on your AYANEO Mini PC will put it into sleep mode. In this state, the cooling fan stops spinning, and the power indicator light goes off.
  • To wake up your AYANEO Mini PC from sleep, simply press the power button. The power indicator light will be steady, and the cooling fan will resume its normal operation.

Entering BIOS Settings

  • To access the BIOS settings on your AYANEO Mini PC, repeatedly press the ESC key during startup. You can also press the F7 key to open the quick boot menu.
  • It’s not recommended to modify BIOS settings unless you have specific requirements. The default factory settings are optimized for normal operation.

Note: Incorrect BIOS settings can affect system stability or even lead to boot failures, so it’s advisable to seek assistance from a professional if you need to adjust BIOS settings.

Notes
This product runs on a 64-bit Windows 11 Home edition produced by Microsoft. In desktop mode, you can perform basic Windows operations using a keyboard and mouse.
If applications become unresponsive and can’t be closed normally, you can right-click the “Start” button and select “Task Manager” from the pop-up menu. In the Task Manager, you can choose the unresponsive process and select “End Task” to terminate it.
Note: If you purchase a base system configuration without memory or hard drive and it doesn’t include an operating system, you will need to install the operating system yourself. The specific installation process will depend on the version of the operating system you choose.
Power Supply
Please use the provided power adapter to power your AYANEO Mini PC.
Do not use uncertified power adapters, as this can lead to damage to internal components and unforeseen risks. When the power adapter is plugged into an AC 100-240V power source, avoid prolonged skin contact with the DC output plug to prevent discomfort or injury.
Medical device interference
Some of AYANEO’s internal components contain magnets and radio-emitting electromagnetic fields that may interfere with medical devices, pacemakers, defibrillators, or other medical devices. Please maintain a safe distance between medical equipment and AYANEO.
Consult your physician and medical device manufacturer for medical device information. Discontinue use of AYANEO if you suspect that AYANEO is interfering with your pacemaker, defibrillator, or other medical device.
AYANEO warrants the included hardware products and accessories for a period of one year from the date of original retail purchase, AYANEO does not warrant normal wear and tear, nor does it warrant damage from accident or abuse. To obtain services, please visit the AYANEO Marketplace or an AYANEO Authorized Service Provider, available service options depend on the country or region in which the service is requested and may be limited to the country of origin of sale. Call charges and international shipping may apply, depending on your location.
AYANEO will repair, replace or refund your AYANEO at its discretion when you submit a valid claim under the Warranty Service Policy. Your warranty rights are in addition to those provided by local consumer laws.
