Initial Setup
For the initial setup, make sure you use the ink supply units that came with this printer. These ink supply units cannot be saved for later use. The initial ink supply units will be partly used to charge the print head. These ink supply units may print fewer pages compared to subsequent ink supply units. -

Setting up the Printer
- Remove all protective materials.
- Insert the output tray.
- Open.
- Press the ink supply unit tray, and then pull it out.
- Shake the ink supply unit 10 times well. For the initial setup, make sure you use the ink supply units that came with this printer. These ink supply units cannot be saved for later use. The initial ink supply units will be partly used to charge the print head. These ink supply units may print fewer pages compared to subsequent ink supply units.
- Unpack.
- Fit the ink supply unit into the ink supply unit tray.
- Insert and close. Install all ink supply units as well.
- Connect and plug-in.
- Turn on.
- Select a language, country and time.
- Wait until the charging is finished.
- Pull out.
- Pinch and slide the edge guides.
- Load A4 size paper toward the back of the paper cassette with the printable side face down then slide the front edge guide to the paper.
- Check the paper size and paper type for the paper sources. Tap OK if the settings are correct, or select the correct paper size and paper type. You can change these settings later.
- Finally, set up the fax. If you want to make fax settings as an administrator, see the User’s Guide.
- Connect a phone cable.
- Connecting to PSTN or PBX.
- Connecting to DSL or ISDN.
- Available phone cable RJ-11 Phone Line / RJ-11 Telephone set connection.
- Depending on the area, a phone cable may be included with the printer, if so, use the cable.
- If you want to share the same phone line as your telephone, remove the cap and then connect the telephone to the EXT. port.
- Make the fax settings. You can change these settings later. If you do not want to make settings now, close the fax settings screen.
Installing Software
Windows
Insert the CD, and follow the instructions on the screen.
If the Firewall alert appears, allow access for Epson applications.
No CD/DVD drive Mac OS/iOS/Android
Visit the website to start the setup process, install software, and configure network settings.
PS/PCL driver
