Product Usage Instructions
Emergency Stop Activation and Reset
To activate the emergency stop, pull the button out. The hoist will stop.
To reset the emergency stop, push the button back in either by using a finger
or a tube on the cord.
Battery Indicator
The multi-level battery indicator on the hoist provides information about
the battery power. When the indicator is yellow, the lifter has sufficient
power for at least one full lifting cycle with the maximum load. When the
battery indicator is flashing yellow, it is only possible to lower the sling
bar.
Charging
The Molift Air can be charged through the hand control using a battery
charger or through the rail with In Rail Charging. To charge the hand control,
plug the battery charger into a power outlet. Wall-mounted docking for the
hand control is available. Make sure not to damage the cable. Use only Molift
chargers. The hand control has an indicator light that illuminates when the
battery level is low and the lifter requires charging.
Electrical Emergency Lowering
In case the hand control does not work, the electrical emergency lowering
can be used. Pull and hold the emergency lowering button to start lowering.
Hold the button until the user is fully lowered and can be released from
suspension. Please note that this feature should only be used for emergencies.
Angle Sensor
The hoist is equipped with an angle sensor for safety. If the hoist does
not respond to the hand control’s up button, it might be because the lifting
strap angle is too steep or the lifting belt is twisted, activating the
sensor. Adjust the lifting strap or move the hoist to reduce the lifting strap
angle.
Battery and Service Indicator
The system is activated by pushing one of the operating buttons on the hand
control. The electrical system has a power-save a function that turns off the
system five minutes after the last operation. All indicators will turn off.
The hoist’s electronics record the weight lifted and the number of lifts.
After a certain period of operation, a signal is given to indicate that
service is required.
FAQ
-
Q: What should I do if the lifter does not respond to Hand control action?
A: First, check if the emergency stop is activated. If so, push the button back in to deactivate it. If that doesn’t work, turn off the hoist and then turn it back on by pulling the Emergency Stop and pushing the button back in. If the problem persists, it could be due to a faulty hand control connection or a broken plug or cord. In such cases, consider replacing the hand control or its components. -
Q: What should I do if the lifting band goes upwards during Electrical Emergency Lowering?
A: This may indicate that the lifting strap angle sensor is activated. Adjust the lifting strap or move the hoist to reduce the lifting strap angle. If the issue continues, it is recommended to use manual emergency lowering and send the lifter to service for further inspection.
