Product Usage Instructions

Power Up:

1. Insert 2-AA batteries into your sensor, then into your station.
2. Set the time, date, etc.
3. Once the sensor is reading to your station, place the sensor outside in a shaded location.

Setting Menu:

1. Hold the TIME/DATE button for three seconds to enter the time set mode.
2. The Year will flash. Use the ARROW buttons to choose the year, and press the TIME/DATE button to confirm and move to the month.
3. The Month will flash. Use the ARROW buttons to choose the month, and press the TIME/DATE button to confirm and move to the date.
4. The Date will flash. Use the ARROW buttons to choose the date. Press the TIME/DATE button to confirm and move to the 12/24 hour time format.
5. The time format 12H will flash. Use the ARROW buttons to choose the 12-hour or 24-hour time format and press the TIME/DATE button to confirm and move to the hour.
6. The Hour will flash. Use the ARROW buttons to choose the hour, and press the TIME/DATE button to confirm and move to minutes.
7. The Minutes will flash. Use the ARROW buttons to choose the minutes, and press the TIME/DATE button to confirm and move to Fahrenheit/Celsius.

Note:
When no buttons are pressed for ten seconds, the temperature station will save the last change and default back to normal mode.

Set Temperature Alerts:

Note:
Setting the temperature alerts and arming the alerts are separate functions.

1. Hold the TEMP ALERTS button until the station beeps.
2. The temperature alert value will blink in set mode.
3. Press the “+” or “-” button to adjust alert values.
4. Press the TEMP ALERTS button to confirm and move to the next alert.

Press the TEMP ALERTS button to exit, or wait 10 seconds without pressing buttons to return to the normal time display.

Set Time Alarm:

1. Hold the TIME ALARM button to enter alarm time set mode.
2. Press the “+” or “-” button to adjust alarm time.
3. Press the TIME ALARM button to confirm adjustments and move to the next item.

Time alarm setting order: 1. Hours 2. Minutes

Note:
The alarm is a crescendo sound. The alarm will sound for 2 minutes and then shut off completely.

View | Reset MIN/MAX Temperatures:
The station automatically resets minimum and maximum values daily at midnight.

Low Battery Indicator:
The low battery indicator will display when the battery level is low.

Search for Outdoor Sensor:
Follow the instructions to search for the outdoor sensor when it is not automatically detected.

Factory Restart:

Explanation:
The factory restart returns the temperature station and outdoor sensor to an out-of-the-box state and often resolves an issue.

1. Remove all power from the outdoor sensor and temperature station.
2. Press one of the buttons on the temperature station at least 20 times to clear all memory.
3. Verify that the temperature station is blank before proceeding (some painted lines should not be visible).

Set Temperature Alerts

Set Alerts:

1. Hold the TEMP ALERTS button until the station beeps.
2. The temperature alert value will blink in set mode.
3. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to adjust alert values.
4. Press the TEMP ALERTS button to confirm & move to the next alert.

The temperature alert order:

• Outdoor High
• Outdoor Low

Press the TEMP ALERTS button to exit, or wait 10 seconds without pressing buttons to return to the normal time display.

Arm/Disarm Temperature Alerts:
Press & release the TEMP ALERTS button to select HI or LO temperature alert.

• Press the ▲ button to ARM temperature alerts.
• Press ▼ the button to DISARM temperature alerts.
• The word HI or LO appears when armed.

Active Temperature Alert:

• When the temperature alert is ringing, the corresponding alert icon will flash.
• The alert will ring for five seconds every minute until the temperature is out of alert range.
• Press any button to stop the alert. The alert icon will still show.

Set Time Alarm

1. Hold the TIME ALARM button to enter alarm time set mode.
2. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to adjust alarm time.
3. Press the TIME ALARM button to confirm adjustments and move to the next item.

Time alarm setting order:

1. Hours
2. Minutes

Snooze:

• When the alarm sounds, press the TIME ALARM button to silence the alarm for 10 minutes.
• The alarm icon will flash.
• In snooze mode, press any button EXCEPT the TIME ALARM button to stop the alarm for one day.

Note:
The alarm is a crescendo sound. The alarm will sound for 2 minutes and then shut off completely.

Activate/Deactivate Alarm:

• Press the TIME ALARM button once to view alarm time.
• Press the TIME ALARM button again to activate the alarm. Once activated the bell icon appears.
• Press the TIME ALARM button again to deactivate the alarm. The bell will icon disappear.

View Reset MIN/MAX Temperatures

The station automatically resets minimum and maximum values daily at midnight.

• Press the MIN (▼) button to view minimum values.
• Hold the MIN button to reset minimum values.
• Press the MAX (▲) button to view maximum values.
• Hold the MAX button to reset maximum values.

Temperature Trend Arrows

• The UP, DOWN and STEADY ARROWS indicate a rising, steady or falling temperature trend (2°F/1°C) over the past three hours.
• Updates every 30 minutes or less.

Low Battery Indicator

• When a low battery shows in the Outdoor Temperature section, replace the batteries in the outdoor sensor.
• When a low battery shows in the Indoor Temperature section, replace batteries in the station.

Search for Outdoor Sensor

• Press the SENSOR SEARCH button to search for the outdoor sensor.
• The reception icon will animate until the sensor signal is received or for 3 minutes if no signal is available.

Factory Restart

Explanation:
The factory restart returns the temperature station and outdoor sensor to an “out-of-the-box” state and often resolves an issue.

Factory Restart:

1. Remove all power from the outdoor sensor and temperature station.
2. Press one of the buttons on the temperature station at least 20 times to clear all memory.
3. Verify that the temperature station is blank before proceeding (some painted lines will not disappear).
4. Leave batteries out of both units for 15 minutes (very important).
5. Insert fresh Alkaline batteries into the temperature station.
6. Insert fresh batteries into the outdoor sensor.
7. Press the TX button on the outdoor sensor to transmit the RF signal.
8. Keep the outdoor sensor 5-10 feet from the temperature station.
9. When an RF connection is established, the temperature will appear on the station. Allow the outdoor sensor and temperature station to sit together for 15 minutes to establish a strong connection.
10. Do not press buttons for 15 minutes.

Care And Maintenance

• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix Alkaline, Lithium, standard, or rechargeable batteries.
• Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for intended use.
• Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device before battery installation.
• Ensure the batteries have with correct polarity (+ / -).
• Remove batteries from equipment that will not be used for an extended period.
• Promptly remove expired batteries.
