POWER UP

Insert 2-AA batteries into your Outdoor Sensor.
Insert 2-AA batteries Into your Station.
Use the instructions below to enter the Settings Menu to adjust your time, date, and time zone. This will ensure your station searches for the Atomic Time Signal at optimal times.

To Set the Time Manually

Hold the SET button until the display changes to enter the Settings Menu. Press and release the + or – buttons to adjust values by one. Hold to adjust quickly.
Press and release the SET button to confirm values and move to the next setting or exit the menu.
Press and release the SNOOZE button at any time to exit.

Notes

Language: The language selected in this menu will control other menu items as well as your full weekday readout.
Atomic OFF: When Atomic OFF is selected, you will move directly to the Hour Time setting.
Weekday: Will set automatically when your Year, Month, and Date are set.

ATOMIC TIME

Optional: Press and release the SET button to manually start or stop a search for the WWVB Atomic Time Signal.
The Tower Icon will flash for about one minute while searching which means the station is engaged to search for the signal over the next 12 to 24 hours. The icon will remain solid on screen when the WWVB Signal is received.
When your time and date are manually set correctly, your station will automatically search for the Atomic Time Signal at UTC 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00.

Disclaimer: The Atomic Time Signal originates in Ft. Collins Colorado and has a range of roughly 4800 kilometers (3000 miles). In some cases, the signal is affected by weather conditions, geographic location. dwelling construction materials or electrical interferences. The position of the station in the home may result in poor reception. If the station has not synchronized to the correct time within a few days of activation, you may need to move the station to a different location. It is best to position the station near an exterior wall that faces toward Colorado. If the Atomic Time Signal is NOT received, your station will still operate as a reliable accurate timekeeper and should not be considered broken.

MOON PHASE

The moon phase is based on the Lunar Calendar and the year, month, and date settings.

TIME ALARM

Set Alarm

Hold the ALARM button to enter alarm setting mode. ALARM will show and the hour will flash. Press and release the + or – buttons to choose the hour.
Press and release the ALARM to confirm and move to the minutes. The minutes will flash. Press and release the + or – buttons to choose the minutes.
Press and release the ALARM button to confirm and exit.
Press and release the SNOOZE button at any time to exit.

Silence a Sounding Alarm: Press any button except SNOOZE to silence the alarm for 24 hours.

Activate/Deactivate Alarm

Press and release the ALARM button to view the Alarm Time. Press and release again to activate or deactivate the alarm.
The Alarm Icon will show when the alarm is active.
Snooze: When the alarm is active, press the SNOOZE button to silence the alarm for 10 minutes. The alarm Icon will flash while snoozing.
Note: The alarm will sound with increasing frequency for two minutes, then shut off automatically if not silenced.

HI / LO TEMPERATURE

High and Low-Temperature Records will automatically reset daily at midnight.
Press and release the + (PLUS) button once to view High Indoor and Outdoor Temperatures.
Press and release the + (PLUS) button twice to view Low Indoor and Outdoor Temperatures.
Press again to return to the normal time display.

TEMPERATURE TREND ARROWS Both the Indoor and Outdoor Temperature values have Trend Arrows to indicate changes (1°C / 2°F or more) over the past three-hour period.

The temperature has risen over the past three hours.
The temperature has been steady over the past three hours.
The temperature has fallen over the past three hours.

LOW BATTERY INDICATOR

Low Battery Icon by Outdoor Temperature, replace batteries in the Outdoor Sensor.
Low Battery Icon by the Time, replace batteries in the Station.

SEARCH FOR OUTDOOR SENSOR

If you are seeing NO for your outdoor readings, please try the following steps:

Hold the – (MINUS) button to search for your outdoor sensor. The Reception Indicator will begin to animate.
If after 3 minutes the sensor still isn’t connected, bring the sensor inside next to the display and remove power from both the sensor and station.
Press any button on the station 20 times and leave the parts to sit for a few moments with the power off.
Install a new set of alkaline batteries into the sensor, then into your station. For additional help visit: bit.ly/basic_restart

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

When batteries of different brands or types are used together, or new and old batteries are used together, some batteries may be over-discharged due to a difference of voltage or capacity.
This can result in venting, leakage, and rupture and may cause personal injury.

Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use.
Always replace the whole set of batteries at one time, taking care not to mix old and new ones or batteries of different types.
Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
Ensure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -).
Remove batteries from the product during periods of non-use. Battery leakage can cause corrosion and damage to this product.
Remove used batteries promptly.
For recycling and disposal of batteries, and to protect the environment, please check the internet or your local phone directory for local recycling centers and/or follow local government regulations.

This product operates on alkaline batteries. However, it is suggested to use lithium batteries in areas where the temperatures is consistently below -30°C (-22°F)
