Applications
To connect a pair of DSP3200s and a DSW.2 to a Meridian Audio Core 200
The DSW.2 is ideal in combination with a pair of DSP3200 or DSP3300
loudspeakers to create a compact Audio Core 200 based system
- Connect the lower Speaker Link output on the Audio Core 200 to the Speaker Link input of the Master DSP3200, using a Meridian Speaker Link lead.
- Connect the upper Speaker Link output on the Audio Core 200 to the Speaker Link input of the DSW.2 subwoofer, using a Meridian Speaker Link lead.
- Connect the Speaker Link output from the DSW.2 subwoofer to the Slave DSP3200, using a Meridian Speaker Link lead.
- Set the Channel selector to the L/C position on the left speaker, to the R position on the right speaker, and to the 1+2 position on the DSW.2 subwoofer.
To use a DSW.2 as the subwoofer in a Meridian Digital Theatre
The DSW.2 is ideal as the subwoofer in a Meridian Digital Theatre, in
combination with DSP3200 or DSP3300 front and rear loudspeakers and a DSP3300
center speaker. The system can be controlled by a Meridian Digital Surround
Controller such as the G68. The following diagram shows how to connect the
speakers using “home run” wiring.
- Connect the L+R Speaker Link output on the lower row of the G68 to the Master digital speaker (here the front left speaker), using a Meridian Speaker Link lead.
- Connect the appropriate Speaker Link outputs on the G68 to each of the remaining speakers and the subwoofer, using Meridian Speaker Link leads
- Set the Channel selector on the front and rear left speakers to the L/C position, and on the front and rear right speakers to the R position.
- Set the Channel selector on the center speaker to the L/C position, and on the DSW.2 subwoofer to the 2 position.
Alternatively you can connect the speakers using “daisy chain” wiring: connect the front and rear L speakers to the G68, and then link each pair of speakers together by connecting the output from the L speaker to the input of the R speaker. Likewise connect the center speaker to the G68, and then link the output from the center speaker to the input of the subwoofer.
Note that if the system includes DSP loudspeakers with displays, such as
the DSP5200, one of them must be set up as the master in the system.
